Today's episode was just eyepopping, and I dont just mean the leads. =) In the beginning, it was so cute how Prats and Krishna reassured Arushi that all would be well. As we know, all is never well in Allahabad but if it was then Pratigya would have nothing to fight for. I guess it's good that she isn't listening to SS otherwise we wouldnt have gotten back Abhimanyu on the show.
I am not going to comment on the scene with Kesar finding GD and asking for the keys because it isn't as important as the others. just wanted to say her lavender sari is better than the others on her.
Shakti going to Sarju's family place and reassuring them was a stroke of genius, obviously not his genius just following his dad's orders. But going there and campaigning for SS is what he does best. I actually felt sorry for Sarju's mom but convicting an innocent girl is where my pity ends. Sarju's brother doesn't remotely mention that he threw acid on said girl the other day on Janmashtami of all days but why would he? It's beneath him to tell the truth. Shakti shoving money towards them is obviously going to go over well as the news is going to get around that SS' people are supporting Sarju's family against his own DIL. It ticks me off that his brother would demand justice when he of all people was supporting him to assault someone in front of everyone. Where is the justice in that? Does he not have a sister, he obviously has a mother.
In front of the courthouse, where Abhimanyu meets them in a friendly and polite manner, it was so hilarious. Because we know he is the prosecution team and he is going to run all over Pratigya's defense. Very clever of him to meet with them in that way too. They didn't know what hit them inside the courtroom! Always catch your enemy off guard, it gives you the advantage. Everyone looked as if they ate too much bad biryani once Abhimanyu made his entrance and announced that he was the prosecution lawyer. First blow. The second was when Pratigya finished her argument and Abhimanyu presented his. Arushi as a streetwalker is a longshot. While I don't agree with his argument at all, this guy is bound by his promise and it was either that or alienate the one man he has missed his whole life. I guess we all have to pay our debts, right Abhimanyu? The problem is that Krishna is the one who gave him his blood so technically it is him he owes more than SS. But of course he wouldnt have needed it without Shakti and the bad milk. He looked amazing, and his argument was well presented. He gave it a lot of credibility, which is important if you expect the judge to be convinced.
At the end, just outside the courthouse when Krishna grabs Abhimanyu by the collar, this was the highlight for me. The two men fighting, did you see their expressions? I wanted to tell Prats to take her time breaking it up because it was so intense and the best scene of the episode. Can't really blame Krishna for being upset, you know he would do anything to protect the Saxenas and especially his SIL. She's been through enough. One engagement, two marriages, and a husband in jail. And what will happen to her cooking venture? Anyway, the way Krishna attacked Abhimanyu was so amazing to watch, great job by Arhaan Behl here. And the nonchalant manner that Abhimanyu brushed him off also great. After Pratigya attacked him for what he did, Abhimanyu just coolly told them both to go to hell. And threatened another court action against him. Hilarious considering this is the same man who left the Niwas promising that he would always be there for Krishna and saying sometimes one has to lose to win. I guess this case isn't one of those times. Otherwise he wouldn't have stooped to such a low. Mohit Malik's performance in the courtroom and throughout the episode was astonishingly good. The way he can switch from genteel, well-mannered guy to ruthless prosecution lawyer in five minutes is evidence of a great actor.
Mohit has great chemistry with everyone, but especially with the show's star Arhaan Behl. This is why it is great to see him back onscreen. Storyline may be a little illogical, but at least we have the guy on the show again.
Can't wait for the Maha episode tomorrow, see you then!
