Arhaan tried again and she picked up…..
Arhaan: Sorry…… waise tum wait toh kar sakthi thi jab tak main uth na jaata...
Pooja: Uff Oh….. Arhaan agar tum uth jaate toh vrath ka kya matlab???
Arhaan: aaj poora din main tumhe dekh nahi paaoonga…….. achcha chodo…. Kya kar rahi ho??
Pooja: main bas ghar ka round mar rahi hoon… waise kitna beautiful hai na house…..
Arhaan: ab kahan khadi ho??? (very innocently)
Pooja: woh……. main toh tumhaare kamre ke bahaar……….
Arhaan: kya…….. par tumhe kaise pata mera kamra kaunsa hai?? (slowly opening the door to come out and see where she was)
Pooja: tum bak rahe the room mein aur maine guess kar liya….. (she knew he was going to come out and check)
Arhaan came out and he saw no one……. He was pissed off….
Arhaan: Rano…. Jhoot kyun bola???
Pooja: maine jhoot nahi bola tha par tumhaare shaitani dimag jaanti hoon isiliye wahan se phurrr…. Chali gayi…….. (she laughed)
Arhaan: hanso aur hanso….. tumhe zara se bhi dukh nahi hai na??
Pooja: hai par…. Bas ek hi din ki toh baat hai…… waise ab phone rakho mamma bhula rahi hai….
Arhaan: arre…par… kaat diya…..
His cousins Arnav and Anjali (his chachu's children) entered his room…. And they shared some light moments…… they had some noises down…
Arhaan: ye kya awaaz hai???
Anjali: bhaiyaa… kal karvachauth hai na toh sab sadiyan khareed rahi hai….
Arhaan: achcha toh kal karvachauth hai…. (in thinking mode)
He moved away from there took out his mobile and texted her…" u ll not buy anything"
Pooja saw the message: but y??? (she texted)
He replied: on ur 1st karvachauth u ll wear wat I buy
Pooja: fine……. (she smiled to herself)
The whole day they somehow managed to push it…….. It was night and Arhaan was in his room near the window looking at the moon…. Pooja was sharing Anjali's room….
Arhaan: aaj toh sab kuch itna kharab feel hota hai……. ye raatein kitni khathi hai tumhaare bina Rano……..
Pooja sleeping on her stomach and her head rested on her palms said to herself: ye raat bhi kitni lambi hai Arhaan tumhaare bina… har pal ek yug jaisa lagta hai…… jaldi se subah ho jaaye bas……
Anjali (rubbing her eyes): bhabhi…. Aap soyi nahi abhi tak… kal bahut jalsi uthna hai sargi ke liye……
Pooja: haan…. So rahi hoon…. (but her eyes did not listen to her…. it did not take wink also….. her heart longing for him)
It was morning 4.30……… Gayatri on the door and knocked it…
Pooja came out rubbing her eyes and yarning….
She was sitting with the ladies for the sargi…. Here Arhaan was thinking how will Pooja wake up so early and he need to wake her up…. He called her again and again but there was no answer (Pooja left the phone in the room)….. Arhaan thought to himself," lagta hai bahut gehri neend mein hai… now what do I do??"
He gave one last try and Anjali picked it up…..
Anjali: bhaiyaa… bhabhi nahi hai….
Arhaan: achcha thank God… mujhe laga woh so gayi hogi….
Anjali: arre bhaiyaa… woh toh raat bhar nahi soyi….
Arhaan to himself: shayad Rano bhi meri tarah mujhe miss karti hogi tabhi to nahi soyi….. (smiling to himself)
It was now 7.00 AM in the morning and Pooja was ready to go the temple and Arhaan had already reached there…… Anjali took her there and Arhaan could not wait till the pooja could over so the moment she arrived there he was about to hug her…… when he saw dadi standing behind her he turned away…… Pooja and other people present there were laughing silently.
The Shiv-Gauri pooja got over and everyone where starting to leave…. When everyone moved ahead, Arhaan caught Pooja's hand and he held her back….
Pooja: kya kar rahe ho??? Haath chodo …..
Arhaan: nahi….. nahi matlab nahi……..
Gayatri turned back and she called Pooja….. Pooja forcefully pulled herself out of his grip and moved forward…… She was being introduced to all the known people in and around there, to some relatives….. Arhaan was bored and irritated with this introduction ceremony and he went home….
Back at home, sitting in the balcony wall he was chatting with his cousins and a while later Pooja came along with his mom and other ladies……
Almost half the day went and he could not speak properly with her as she as so busy and could not give sometime for him…… Arhaan was bored at home so he went out and he even had to buy her a saree…..
Pooja had no idea of where he was and what he had been doing all the time….. she never knew that he had gone out and was surprised when he saw her come from outside with some bags…. He did not mind her and moved towards the room. She kept calling him but he went as though he did not hear her…. He reached the room thinking that she would follow him and his naughty mind had already started working… but to his dismay she was not there.
Pooja is in the hall now with her mom-in-law doing some work for the night pooja. She thought to herself," Arhaan bahut gussa hai mujhse pata nahi kaise manaaoon…….. main bhi kuch zyada hi busy reh gayi usse time hi nahi de paayi."
She thought she will finish her work and go and convince him….
Arhaan," socha main usse thoda pareshaan karoonga ulta woh mujhe ulla banaake chali gayi…."
Arhaan just then got a call from Jaideep…
Jai: kaise ho mere bhai??? Shaadi kya ho gayi aap toh bhool hi gaye hume….. yaad nahi to bataa deta hoon Jaideep hai mera naam……..
Arhaan (already irritated): abbey chup…. Yahaan biwi ko apne pati yaad nahi aur tu tujhe yaad rakhne ko keh raha hai…..
Jaideep: arre… kya hua?? Aise kyun bol raha hai tu??
Arhaan: aur nahi to kya….. (and he went on with the whole story)
Jaideep: yahi problem in biwiyon mein…. shaadi kya ho gayi bhool hi jaati hai apne pati ko…. .
Arhaan: haan yaar….bilkul sahi…. Jab Rano meri GF thi tab toh kitna saara waqt saath guzaara karte the aura b…..
Jaideep: isiliye toh GF hona bahut zaroori hai… biwi kabhi GF nahi ban sakthi aur GF ko kabhi biwi nahi banaa na chahiye ……….
Arhaan: wahi toh…. Isse achcha toh wo Tina thi… pata hai usne khud ko meri secret GF banne ka shauk hai…..
Jaideep: arre wah….. derr kis baat ki chalo banaa dalo….
Arhaan: main bhi na yahi soch reh tha…. Jab Mumbai jaaoonga wapas toh pehla call Tina ko…. (he turned back and right there was Pooja standing raging in anger…….)
Jaideep: ek dum sahi….
Arhaan: kya… kya (stammering) bak raha hai tu…. aise thodi na ho saktha hai…. kitni pyaari biwi hai meri aur tu….. chal rakh phone… bye,...
Jaideep: what……… main ye idea diya….(he started shouting)
Arhaan ( whispered): abbey phone rakh…. Bahut badi musibat hai…..
Jaideep (understood): all the best (he laughed)… kept the phone….
Pooja with her hands resting on her hips, inhaling rapidly and staring at him….
Arhaan: tum…tum… ka..kab aayi?? (with all sorts stupidity on his face)
Pooja: tum mujhse naaraaz the toh manaa ne aayi aur tum GF ke baare meinplan kar rahe ho??? How dare??? (she moved forward)
Arhaan started running here and there…..at times turning back and saying," bas mazaak tha….. aur kuch nahi…" but when he saw her running very vigourously he jumped and ran into a room….. closing the door and taking breathe," aaj toh main gaya…"
