Star Plus gained six GRPs to continue its stay at the top of Hindi GECs according to TAM ratings released for Week 3, 2012. The channel registered 293 GRPs. Sony also gained 11 GRPs to register 237 GRPs. Colors lost eight GRPs but held onto its third position as it ended the week with 200 GRPs.

Zee consolidated its fourth place with a five point gain and ended the week at 185 GRPs.

Fifth placed, Sab gained a point to end with 131 GRPs. The newly re-branded Life OK, dropped 13 points to end at 87 GRPs. At seventh place was Sahara One (42 GRPs) followed by Star Utsav (39 GRPs), DD1 (15 GRPs) and Zee Smile (7 GRPs).

HITS of the Week!

Diya aur Baati Hum continues to hold the first position with a TRP rating of 5.60. All the twists in the tale are definitely engaging the audiences.

Saath Nibhana Saathiya on Star Plus has garnered a TRP rating of 5.43 and manages to stay on 2nd position. The makers have to tighten the plot to rule the TRP chart once again.

CID at 3rd with a TRP rating of 4.62. The CID officers never fail to deliver.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus has climbed up to 4th position with a TRP rating of 4.31. Let's hope Akshara and Naitik's bundle of joy proves lucky for the show and it's TRP.

Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon on Star Plus from its 9th position last week, has jumped to 5th position with a TRP rating of 4.12 this week. It was indeed a very smart move by the Makers to air the sizzling dance promo on Tuesday. In one instance, the promo that one of the users uploaded got over one-lakh hits in less than two days.

Crime Patrol of Sony Entertainment Television is back on the TRP chart this week with a rating of 4.08. Looks like more and more audiences are being hooked to this show based on true stories of crime.

Balika Vadhu on Colors has dipped from its 3rd position to 7th position this week with a TRP rating of 4.05. Looks like audiences are not very happy with Gehna turning bitter towards Anandi.

Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai on Star Plus continues to be on 8th position with a TRP rating of 3.63. The audiences have also been complaining of the show losing its essence. We hope the makers are listening.

Sony's Bade Acche Lagte Hai, which had seen a rise in the TRP chart last week, has once again dipped to 9th position with a TRP rating of 3.52. Somehow, the show is unable to engage the viewers week after week with its existing storyline.

Last but not the least, Pratigya of Star Plus has also dipped to 10th position, with a TRP rating of 3.38, which is same as that of last week.

MISSES of the Week!

Zee TV's Dance India Dance was unable to make it to the Top Ten Shows this week. The TRP rating of this dance reality show dipped from 3.19 to 3.03 this week.

Manav and Archana's Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV once again missed its entry in the Top 10 shows of the week. It achieved a TRP rating of 3.28, which is ofcourse higher than last week's 3.13.

This week Sasural Genda Phool on Star Plus and Sasural Simar Ka on Zee TV had a tie with a TRP rating of 3.15.

Parvaarish Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi on Sony Entertainment Television is seeing a steady rise in the TRP rating week after week. This week the show has garnered a TRP rating of 2.62. There is no doubt that this parent child relationship saga is definitely lovable and relatable.

Hitler Didi on Zee TV is also slowly picking up momentum with a TRP rating of 2.42 this week. Hope the mystery surrounding the character of Rishi and his love towards Indira enthralls the viewers in the upcoming episodes.
