SS: This buzurg sher doesn't trust his wife's sudden change in attutide towards Prats that she's got a well of love surging for her bahu, she wants to hand over the keys to the Niwas in her hand. He makes it a point to raise doubts about her intentions in front of the entire family. SS gives it a second go trying to flush out her intentions out in the privacy of their bed chamber. SS comes up empty handed in his attempt to trip his wife's hidden agenda as he sees it. He finally accepts her explanation and hopes she maintains the peace and unity in the house. One of the best lines of the day was 'SS laughint to himself "I'm no snake that I have to be fed milk". Is there a hidden hint in that statement?
Amma: She asks Prats to forgive her for she is human after all. Komal has warned Amma that Prats will take all control and make her ring the bell like GD. Komal is still has ways to go before she understands Prats and her motives. When Prats returns the keys to the Takur treasures back to Amma, the lady of the house is impressed that Prats is not driven by greed. She wishes Goddess's blessings on them as a couple. She defends that her heart is not made of stone and her actions expressed her trust in Prats.
Her family and many viewers see her behavior as nothing more than an act on her part with a hidden agenda. Either Amma is really holding her secret agenda close to her vest with a plan to keep her family guessing as she puts her plan in motion or I've speculated already, her initial agenda is to be rid of Kesamma first. After all that she's put Prats through this bahu has not once tried to take Krishna away from the family using his love for her as a weapon to do so. Even if she has plans for Prats she has plenty of time to get to it at a later date.
On the other hand she is on to how Kesamma's crafty works. The woman has been openly flirting with SS since day one. She has managed to get KN on her side. SS taunted Amma that Kesamma had accomplished what she Amma couldn't do''patch up the KN-Kesar marriage. Praise for another woman from SS's lips and his cheeky grin and promise to give Kesamma what her heart desires has put Amma on guard. Kesamma doesn't accept his offer right away, she wants the whole enchilada and Amma has figured it out. The interloper buys the saree SS chose for Amma, openly flirts with SS right under her nose and she, Amma will not let any woman come in between her and her mard or threaten her place in the family at any cost.
Amma may be a fool in the eyes of KN and Kesamma but she'll guards her position as SS's wife and lady of the house. Will she be looking to Prats for help when she may have to take on Kesamma who is sure to move her plots forward with KN on her side? She is yet to collect from SS his promised gift to her for patching up KN-K marriage. What price will she extract from the Takur that may land them in trouble? Not to worry, it's a given with Prats in the picture this crafty woman will come up weeds in the end. For all we know Kesar may turn against her and KN after all. Wouldn't that be the irony! The crafty wheels are already turning in her mind as Amma exits the kitchen.
Krishna: The young Takur is a bit alarmed that his mother who hates his biwi with a passion has suddenly started lubbing her. But Amma convinces Krishna that her change of heart is real. She's going to have a lot of 'splaining to do when and if she shows her meanie side again.
The young Takur enters his bedchamber, picks up Prats and spins her around happy that Prats is the best biwi in the world. She has finally figured out Krishna is worthy and compliments him as well. But can we see her get past the "you are the best husband in the world"? She is an educated girl she can say something more or different. We see Krishna flash a smile. Now that's a first. Are we going to see him laugh out loud soon? Now that he's a happy man let's see him having a reason to laugh out loud with Prats before some other asteroid comes hurling down on them. Who am I kidding!Pratigya: When Amma hands over the keys to Prats, she returns it back to Amma, all she wants from her sasuma is her love and blessings. When Krishna sings her praises for changing his life she tells him to keep his feelings under control. Pssst., Prats listen up! Feelings are meant to be expressed not suppressed.
Kesar: For a while now she has been harping that she gets no respect and is of no use to the Takur family. She's been living there only bec' she knows SS will find her and bring her back to the Niwas even if she doesn't want to stay simply bec' she's got the Takur potha cooking in her oven. Has she figured out now that she will never get the respect as the badi bahu of the house? Will Kesar wimp out and become her mother's puppet in her chaalaki ways to hold the potha hostage with KN's help and force SS into a corner? Will Kesar be able to stop some of the damage these two can do to the rest of the family or will she succumb to the constant brainwashing from her mother and turn against Krishna and Prats?
Katra Naresh Babu Sakthi Singh: Mr. Bayil Buddhi voices his alarm and disbelief when Amma asks Prats for forgiveness. He demands to know what Prats has done all this while that his mother has so much love welling up inside her for Prats. He believes Prats has fed her some kind of potion. Such is the quality of his thoughts, weak and baseless. What's his explanation for SS's change of heart too? Thinking is not his skill let alone it being a strong skill. He is relieved when Prats returns the keys to Amma.
He tells Kesamma his partner in crime that his mother is not smart but just a fool. He ought to know one when he looks in the mirror! He has concerns about getting his hands on his hard earned money if Prats has control over the purse strings. If Prats and Amma team up it could spell trouble for him in the Niwas. Will Kesamma ever find out the only thing KN has given Kesar was a sauten she never asked for?
After overhearing Amma tell Kesamma off, we can now see KN's motives behind wanting to destroy Krishna's Dhaba business. He's got crooks like Radhe ready to do his bidding and soon this family is going to see KN act in his own interests with Kesamma's crafty brains behind their plans with or without Kesar getting wind of it.
Kesamma: After talking to KN she is ready to flesh out the truth behind Amma's act earlier in the day. She lays it on thick and praising Amma as a guru she has still a lot to learn from. Amma warns the crafty woman "Stop the bakwaas. You think everyone is crafty, smart and cunning games like you. Prats is worthy of being the mistress of this house for there is no shortage of enemies to destroy this house. Stop spreading your dirty tricks around this house and let peace prevail in this house". Amma is spot on warning Kesamma to stay as a guest in her daughter's house and not try to become the mistress of the house. "Stay within your limits or you'll lose your respect". Ouch!
GD: The matriarch of the family is seriously watching the unfolding events. She has mixed reactions watching her bahu's unexpected behavior. Concern turns to satisfaction when Amma embraces Krishna and Prats and gives them her blessings.
Dadi, Shamu: Mother and son are of no use together in that scene at Green House other than to make it a family scene. Dadi doesn't add anything to that scene, she could have at least been shown to be napping in her chair the way a lot of elderly people do at her age in spite of what is going on around them.
Shamu is finally getting to see the holes and frays in the fabric of his family he thought he has raised with all the right sanskaars, but principles, rules of society have gone tel lene. Beware! We may yet be treated to a regretful Shamu adding to Naina's floods. Gosh! Even the background music when they show up sounds like a bout of crying. What a depressing lot, not a smile or moments of joy seen on their faces. They are afraid to smile lest woe befalls them again. Whoever writes for them let's hope they aren't depressed but fun loving and happy people.
Naina: Will this woman ever do anything in her life besides cry in every scene she ever shows up? Whether it's Adarsh's refusal to join the family at the dining table, Prats lying in a hospital after getting shot or Komal's decision to stay at her maike for a couple of days, her tear ducts continue to stream like she just can't turn the taps off. What's so wrong with a girl wanting to stay at her maike for a couple of days?
Komal: The last we saw her doing at the Niwas was chewing on A-pill slices. When all this drama is going on in the house, is the girl not a little bit curious to find out what all the diraama is all about?
Adarsh: The depressed dude of MMGJ drags his feet back into the Green House, tries to ignore his family at the dining table and attempts to head to his room but notanki Naina has other plans. She invites him to join them for dinner while the other members sit in silence like she's passing along news of an unpleasant crisis. He declines and heads to his room.
The once united Sax siblings who never disagreed on anything are fraying like shelved old fabric locked away for too long. What the Sax sibling didn't get to do as children is playing out. Adarsh has already told Prats to mind her own family and stay out of his business at the Niwas with SS holding his spine in place. Today Arushi got an earful and told off when she lectures him on how to treat their mother "lovingly".
Arusi: ow ironic that the girl who not too long ago treated her sister like crap at the Niwas in the jetani-devrani war is now lecturing Adarsh on how to speak "lovingly" to his mother. What is the need for the siblings to speak so loudly within earshot of the Saxes and in such close physical proximity? Arusi is back to her old self sticking her nose in everyone else's matters without invitation. About time someone told her to give up her baashans and get a new hobby.
It's very interesting that SS, KN, Krishna, confront Amma about her motives for her sudden change of heart. Kesamma the interloper has the gall to question Amma's intentions for embracing Prats like it's any of her business to stick her witch's nose in it.
Mera's meandering mind thinks Kesamma and KN will hatch a plan that could throw the SS, SDS, Krishna and Prats out of the Niwas. There is a reason why SS and SDS have suddenly been shown to embrace Prats as a member of the Takur family.
POPS! Why not send the senior Saxes on a teerth yatra they have been longing to gon on for a while till a believable track for their presence on the show is penned? Dadi has dreams to go on a trip for a long time now to fulfill her prayer offerings. This is a good time as any as they don't really have much of a role on the show at the moment. They can take Arusi along to help the seniors on the trip. Right now all four of them are being used like extras on the show and not integral characters on the show.
