Also, their deep love for their children - how they share a better parent-child rapport than the stick-in-the-mud, pedantic Saksenas and how they never raise their hands on children (they are better than those abusive Saksenas who discipline their children by slapping). How the Thakurs are always so forthright about their intentions and candid about their feelings (all those clandestine meetings for murder and mayhem are nothing to get too excited about) - such a great contrast to the hypocritical, mealy-mouthed Saksenas. Seeing the Thakurs is a source of great entertainment and the Saksenas on screen raise feelings that are better left unsaid. Komal's rampage in her sasural was the appropriate treatment for her insensitive, annoying in-laws but Pratigya's out-of-turn comments about murder being wrong was a sign of great impropriety and rudeness. Adarsh needed to be hauled over the coals for his cold behavior towards Komal but Shakti's treatment of Kesar is hardly reason enough to post a topic on this message-board. Krishna's attempt to rape Prats was reality and unworthy of disapproval since Pratigya's actions were instigations enough but Adarsh's reticence in bringing Komal to his office trip was the act of a n heartless monster. But, the absolute gem was a post which said that if Krishna hadn't married Prats, the Thakurs would have never tried to kill Prats and Kesar would never have come to know of their plans and consequently would not have been beaten up for her indiscretions. So, you see it is ultimately Pratigya who was responsible for Kesar losing her child.

The Thakurs are powerful, they are fearless and they are a grand reminder about the futility of education and the hypocrisy and impotence of the educated middle class. Their useless bookish knowledge, hypocritical decisions when faced with life's dilemmas, pin-headed ways of dealing with crisis are a constant source of outrage and derision. But, the Thakurs? Oh! They are the face of ground reality, an evil you cannot and must not try to remove because evils are a part of reality. Instead, just enjoy their quaint dialect and joie-de-vivre.

Relda! Relda! 🤣 For heaven's sake don't go about reading all those hate-posts, you will give yourself indigestion, I swear it is too much to stomach! Sometimes I am in stitches over some of the stuff.

Some of the people that are fond of posing questions remind me of Dame Slap.
Do you know of a character called Dame Slap from the faraway tree series by Enid Blyton? She is a teacher who hates her students and keeps asking them totally senseless questions that don't have any correct answers, for example 'If my goose lays twenty eggs, will it rain in Mexico tomorrow?' And what ever the hapless children answer is of course good enough excuse to be thoroughly slapped. Many of your tally-keeping friends remind me of her.

Freudian dream😆 - as in a paradise for Freud to work with? Totally! You know, when I am feeling faaltu and a bit vela, it has become a favourite pass time with me to try and attribute various psychologies of the various players, trying to understand their unique stance on hate, it is even more challenging than understanding the motivations of the characters in the show.😆😉 I try to keep it distinct and individual. 😃 But like some bad dream the players all start amalgamating in my mind into one blob of venom-spewing creature. Then it becomes less interesting and I can't be bothered anymore.😕

Relda,
You. Make. Me. Laugh 😆😆

Thank you for trawling through that muck to bring us these distilled gems. I did try to skim through those pages myself today, but I found myself spluttering so incoherently, I had to sit down and take a calming draught. 😆😆

But what an amazing reaction one section of this forum is having - it just beats everything. But seriously I suppose that the extreme reactions are because that wonderful scene yesterday was like a clear declaration of intent - yes, we have these smorgasbord set of characters who will pull and tug at each other to enliven the narrative, to bring out various perspectives but here is where WE, the MAKERS of this serial place ourselves. This is where WE are coming from, THIS is OUR stand. They have been hinting at it for a long time, but subtlety is quite lost on the Hate Brigade.

It seems to have hit a nerve. The reactions, of course, have been vicious. The Pratigya bashers are recognising themselves for the Other and they're hating it. Well, it can't be helped. Like others have said, all I can say to them is please, it's going to be like this, it's going to get worse, cut your losses, spare yourselves trauma - if you can tear yourself away, go watch something more innocuous.

Thanks Dhakran! Yes, it was significant wasn't it? For all the reasons that you acutely observed.
Poor Prats how unhappy she is to have to take a stance opposing K at such a loving stage in their relationship! How it hurts her to be at odds with him, especially if he thinks her the cause of his unhappiness. But how gutsy she is to do what is right even at the cost of her own happiness. She is really remarkable! 😃👏

Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear. ~Ambrose Redmoon

How wonderful that even in such personal distress, she sought for a way to overcome fear, and not to rationalise her way out of having to take a difficult stance. 999999 out of 1000000 woman would have said, I tried my best, now I am not going to be bothered about naything but my own life now, let people take care of themselves. they would have quickly attached themselves to an anger over what Kesar did and justified never bothering about her again. But then P is not like other people, is she?

Relda, You have caught the bug too, instead take pleasure in reading such posts, and don't let it bother you. You , Dyehard and Bubble are awesome. For me your posts are a source of solace.
But see when there is a post about Krishna's weaknesses in the earlier days, how the poster got bashed so badly that we have not seen her post again.

http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1416276 ( PS: This link is a mere reference and is only intended for Relda' s review )

So I fully agree to Dyehard's stance in this situation. But wonder why such people even had the audacity to watch this serial, why bother at all, but they do watch it and spend hours bad mouthing lead character.

May be the heroines of the other serials that they like aren't getting much of the publicity that PG is getting. may be that is the source of inspiration for such people to bash both actor and the character PG portrays. I guess.😕

well i was just going through the posts and what i saw was that people were actually giving it a name of lecture that they r least interested in watching😕 they watch this show to get relaxed and not listen to the stupid bhashan regarding justice
what m i saying 'justice' "what does this word mean well who gives a damn about it lets just watch it for pure entertainment which does NOT teach us anything at all but makes us laugh when thousand people in the situation being shown on the show r crying"😡
well if they just want entertainment and nothing else then they can pretty well switch on to other shows coz this show will always burn with this fire

Hey, Pheonix thanks a lot!
🤗
Sorry been a distracted day, so I missed replying to your post earlier.😲
All this Bhashan-bashing is very tiring isn't it? How can anyone want to watch MKAP for "light entertainment" Really it is like pouring peri-peri sauce over your brownie and yelling at the cook because you thought it was maple syrup!😲 I mean, hazam nahi hota tho khate kyon ho bhai?
Next will they watch 'Kali' and say 'us bachi ko thoda bhi dimaag nahi woh bechaara mard kya kar sakta hai? Aur waise bhi thoda romance dikha na chahiye. ye sab kya hai?'

Yes, Pheonix this show will always burn the fire, aag achci nahi lagtee hai tho haath na thapao. The solutions are quite simply actually. 😃

Ha ha.. you are right Dyehard. "Kali" should also be targetted..what a stupid, mindless girl - Going to a farmhouse with a man old enough to be her uncle? What if every young girl watching the show decide to follow her footstep and swarm all the farmhouses in the country with any middle-aged man they can find.. Just like there was genuine fear that there will be mass community marriages of young girs with their stalkers after watching Pratigya. Remember, how there was countless exhortations about how she should have approached the police and court to protect herself from being harassed. Suddenly, now in Kesar's case, the Police in UP have suddenly turned reprobate and was not going to do anything anyway? Stupid Pratigya.. cannot gauge the fluctuating morality swings of UP police force.. always ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I have heard about teenage girls acting as rabid fangirls for rockstars or Chuck Bass but it is quite a revelation to see mature women forming a hate-brigade for a fictitious TV character. Isn't it easier to just change the channel rather than stress yourself out daily by witnessing her pathetic, hypocritical, selfish, arrogant schtick every day? It's not like there is a prize to be awarded to the most vociferous, most hard-nosed Pratigya basher.

It was really good wasn't it Shruti? I too was wondering if it was just a filler segment, and never expected something so vital and poignant!
I loved P's expression of a return to rightness and peace. Pooja acted so well, as if a dying star just had a nuclear fission to power it again. Lovely!

@Pearl Grey and team - where do you guys find the CONVICTION, the INTEGRITY and the ARTICULATION, and CLARITY of purpose and the TALENT for arriving at the core of the matter and SKILL to present it with such power? I have said this before, I say it again, may god bless!

The scene with Shyam Saxena and his wonderful daughter Pratigya, was so beautifully created, that I want to heap praises on this fabulous team of CVs. Maan gaye huzoor!

The scene talked of how forging the path of truth and conviction is a very tough one, and only the very rare, very brave ones attempt it irrespective of whether victory is guaranteed or not. They set out not with sights on success but with hearts strengthened with integrity. The CVs obviously speak from experience!

In a mire of mediocrity in our programming, that passes self-preservation for Patni-Dharma, makes a virtue of spinelessness, where truth is acceptably sacrificed for temporary harmony and good name, you the CVs have had the courage to show true integrity of character, held out for the most ideal in love and relationships and human values. I don't know where to begin to praise, the heart and the minds and the hands behind this show.

CVs - PLEASE TAKE A BOW!!! 👏

@ Dyehard: Read your post again and again while watching this segment, believe me there are no words to praise " the heart and the minds and the hands behind this show." No wonder in a short span of time it had reached the pinnacle of success. I would like to say thank you to the entire TEAM PARTIGYA, and a very warm and especial thanks to Arhaan Bhel and Pooja Gor for for giving us, The Krishna 🤗 The Partigya🤗
- The K R I Y A 🤗 The love 🤗

This forum is for fun, sometimes for healthy argument, and on occasion to speak up if you really feel strongly about something. But the show is a separate thing isn't it? Allow it to tell you a pure story. The show has been made popular all those people in India's heartland who empathize with its basic intent and premise, people who LOVE the show! A lot of love always attracts a little hate. Par for the course, dear man, par for the course.
This is exactly what Shyam Saxsena was trying to say yesterday, when anybody tries to rise above, a thousand hands will rise to pull them back, it is especially true of a woman who does not bother to hide her strength under the facade of womanly duty. Weak men cannot stand strong independent women, and I am ashamed to say this about my own sex , so can't a lot of women! 😭 I feel sad every time somebody says this but sometimes I am forced to acknowledge the truth in the statement that "a woman has no enemy like a fellow woman".
But I like to believe that we are all NOT like that. Many of us are happy for our sisters. Please don't despair for our sex yet, Sam!

If there are strong men like K who have the guts to handle a REAL woman and have the self-esteem not feel small in comparison then there is hope for many more Pratigyas.

A man like Krishna who does not demand that a woman hide her strength is the greatest gift a woman can ask for. That is what makes this story unique. Enjoy it!
INDEED

You said some thing on the same lines once upon a time. You did it again Dyehard 🤗Thank you so much. Strong words. 😃
