I've seen all the episodes from the day it started. Krishna never once eve-teased Pratigya or anyone else.
Krishna fell in love and did things the wrong way round. That was his only fault. The love that happened in the show, did not happen overnight. The characters both adjusted to their new situation and to each other and then the protagonist fell in love with her husband. It was after their marriage, we got into Krishna's deep point of view and saw what he was made off. Where it mattered, he was a decent guy, in fact Pratigya could have married worse.
Also would like to point out, that all indian serials - no matter how they start off or what promo they show - all end in the same way. Lead pairs get married whether consensually or one of them hating, then their married life is shown, feelings start growing and then love happens. I suppose we should be grateful that we are not shown episodes of social functions all to generate further marital intimacy ad nauseum. In fact the journery taken by Krishna and Pratigya, after marriage was realistic in some ways. She didn't immediately fell in love. It took time and a lot of changes by both before it happened.
Further, there is a slight element of social message given by the show. It is do with female empowerment. Pratigya empowered herself by marrying, taking a stand (let's not debate the right or the wrongness of it) because she was not running anymore. Then she fought to empower herself at her sasural, otherwise she would have been trod over. She stands up for her abused SIL, Kesar, who will be the poster for female empowerment. Her story is the main lesson, if you like, shown in the serial.
I never understood why people kept saying the show is about the social issue of eve-teasing. That was the platform, if you like, but the main mesage is one of female empowerment and the problems faced by a particular family.
One thing though. Krishna loves Pratigya more than his own life. He made this clear from the beginning. He stood loving and tall in the face of her hatred. If there is any message here, then this is it. A true marriage withstands all storm, bends here and there but never breaks. Forgives all and gives endless love constant.

I think we should understand that when serials start, they frequently launch off from some issue or the other, just for maximum impact. This was ostensibly about eve teasing, another about caste, another about somehting else. For instance the new soap Kali is supposed to be about harassment and is based on the Ruchika case. But after that initial premise is done, bet you anything, she'll have the bad guy punished and there'll be a love interest. 😆😆
If they have to run, the stories have to move, na? How silly to still stay at one point for nine months 😉 - Pratigya has moved across various issues and keeps coming back to the point about women's empowerment.

BTW, I found this old report about this series which says:

As reported earlier, the story is about an educated and smart girl. She lives in a society wherein the girls of the family are generally married and sent off to their husband's place at a very early age, while it is the sons of the family who get all the freedom and status. The male lead who is the complete opposite of the girl is uneducated. The manner in which she encounters the guy of her life, changes his way of living, and transforms him into a better individual forms the crux of the story.

The link is here and oddly enough, Pratigya was first tentatively called Pratha, which is Pearl Grey's new venture: www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1300685

So, you see, irrespective of where the story launched from, they have stayed on course. And good news for Kriya fans is that, the couple are together come what may - because THAT is the story.

MKAP started as social problems oriented but later on it turned to be a love story and now as Kriya has consumatted their marriage the serial will turn into a typical saas bahu saga

Kriy will have misunderstandings they will unite for 3-4 years, leaps, kids and one day it will end. obviously when the trps go down the channel will shut the show....😆

I don't understand how is the show sending a wrong message it was meant to portray realism and in many aspects it has been extremely successful. This show has brought many harsh realities to light because of this show people have been forced to face the atrocities which take place on women throughout the world something most of us would prefer avoiding. It was not only meant to create awareness about eve teasing but it has done this as well, through characters like Krishna as well as Angad. The main objective of this show was to show women empowerment to show women they have a say in what takes place in their lives they have the strength to fight for their self respect.

According to me prats falling in love with the man who loves her more then his own life, a man who gradually changed his ways in order to achieve his goal her true love, who proved time and again he would always stand by her is very realistic, it would have been far more unrealistic if she punished him for things which he was at no fault for. As for realism in their relationship she did not marry him for revenge she wanted to teach him a lesson that love cannot be snatched but must be earned, also it was important she showed him how wrong his ways as well as thinking was. prats success lies in Krishna becoming a better human being, not hating him for the rest of her life for things he had not committed. Women empowerment means fighting for your rights not against a man who has learned from his mistakes and who in turn taught her how to love as intensely as he did.

It is important we do not overlook the fact that there are still plenty of women in the show facing abuse due to their spouses, Amma, as well as Kesar are good examples, While one women takes her frustration out on those around her the other feels for others going through her situation. Prats has been fighting against the mindset of the Tachurs that a women is nothing but a mere object and she will continue fighting until they are ready to understand that women are human beings who deserve love and respect.
