i think because he believes he loves her and hence would have stayed purely for her sake and that same was not the case with her she was staying cuz she might be feeling guilty or cuz of another reason but love
but he doesn't knows she too has fallen for him i don't think it is only guilt or mere obligation, she is in love with him. it was clearly visible on her face her expressions said it all and when the doc said it was her love that had saved him the smile that spread across her face in a way endorsed what the doctor said.

Here's what I posted in Gees thread:

He is still unhappy and hurt..... He thinks Prats stayed behind because it was her duty......whereas he meant that if ever she was ill and he did the same, it would be because he loved her.....I think she understood....later when he refused to eat, she said 'have faith....I won't hurt you or see you in pain..'...something along those lines................She is waiting for the right time, good for her😳..... There are too many distractions today.

Ohhh. Now I understand! Thanks for opening up my eyes! I think she is now starting to hint her feelings to him. I wonder what will happen tomorrow?! Didn't anyone listen to the Doctor when he told the family not to cause any tension in front of the patient?! 😡
