Pratigya is a serial that has become close to many a hearts as it has brought a lot of uncomfortable topics to the fore. Eve teasing, sexual harrassement within marriage, forced abortions, respect denied to women in houses, educating the girl child, men deciding the character of a woman based on all sorts of flimsy ideas and forced marriages.
But as the serial is advancing most of these are being ignored. The star cast is extremely good- what with each one outdoing the other every day and in every frame!
Krishna is never even now not told the entire truth of the way Angad has used his name to spoil the life of the Saxenas- Nithin's fight to live in the hospital or Krishna's and Pratigya's name grafitti on the walls, Krishna never asking Pratigya how she first met Angad, Pratigya never asking Krishna where he first saw her when he keeps telling that" phele nazar se hosh udaadi", reason for daadi not talking- is she born dumb or took a strong Pratigya not to talk after seeing too many henious things at home,how come Nainaji never thinks of introducing Komal to literacy when she is said to be a graduate too, Tunna and Chandu are so close to Krishna that they never come to the court or be with him to help him, How come Chandu and Tunna are never shown as intelligent analytical men when they were so in the beginning of the serial where is Guru mata now that such a huge hangama has happened? How come Tunna and Chandu never think of going and finding information from Angad's sidekicks about how and where they first saw Pratigya and all that happened on the train and reporting back to Krishna? They too like daadi and Kesar have a lot of faith in Pratigya where is that now?and finally where is the body of Angad?
If all this is answered well any reason that this wonderful show will ever go down from number uno spot? Hope the producers and directors look into all this.
