One more question Comes to my mind . Why is it soooooooo terrible for the Prof to stay in jail for two months ? . The act he did was even more terrible . . Practically speaking he had his chance and blew it . . Now why cant he grow up and stay for two months quietly in jail while others make the moves and get him out ? It was HIS option , dammit , why the hell r others being blamed ? No one seems to be paying attention to the fact that it was HIS wish ! .
Anyways in India by the time lawyer is engaged , formalities r over , trial date is set , three months will fly by .So whats this big nonsense of How Can I let my father stay in jail for two months ?
Which case in India comes to trial and man is out BEFORE two months after being arrested ?
So why was Pratigya not reasonable enough to realise that anyways he has gone to jail and formalities will take their own time so at least let my sasur win his election ? Baffles me.
What the hell happened to the girls school btw

In my humble opinion, the whole track is to show how Pratigya is the most ideal, strong daughter who took on the legal system and her sasural to free her father from a crime he never committed. It is to show the strength of a woman who can go to any lengths to fight for the Rights of her father. As a viewer, the whole thing is contradictory, but only if you are not in favour of Pratigya's action. If you believe in Pratigya's fight then all these small inconsistencies wont matter because you are seeing the strong Pratigya fighting for her father.

Why did it just take a kasam for him to change his mind? I thought as a progressive society we have left behind all this emotional blackmail nonsense.

The girls school episode was so contrived that the whole episode was a morality exercise for viewers. But then again, her father will come before a girls school. I doubt we will see the school again.

agree with u starlight .The inconsistencies are however very very glaring . No rational mind can ignore them and aLL the viewers , uneducated or educated r rational . So i dont know how Cvs took such a risk .
She seems to have lost touch with reality ..that HER father is the one inside the jail by wish . This is one point we never see her addressing .She blames everyone around for his condition except her own father and brother . Krishna however constantly blames his dad and bro and takes her side , to the point that even Guruma had to intervene to talk to him .But we see him telling Guruma that teach my Dad somethings instead ..that loyal he is to Pratigya.
We dont see her doing anything at grass root level...like doing some wonderful things for that school , or brainwashing the WOMEN at home to stand up collectively instead of rashly tackling the men . If SS asks Am,ma to eat salt as a punishment , it wud be wonderful to see Kesar , Pratigya both come and stand behind Amma and all 3 voluntarily say NO . SS 's face wud be worth seeing . There r so many REAL things she cud do , but they show fAKE heroism .

We all know that whatever is shown in this serial is unreal and fictional. I see no point in debating this kind of sarcastic anger on the story line. So enjoy the story line though keep giving detailed critical analysis on Pratigya Character only. Since some of you have already helped CVs to enhance her role after seeing comments that how come she is the heroine of this soap yet she not strong enough, now when they made her strong and central she looks unreal ?. 😕

The school thing was yet another political stunts of SS. This will be brought in one more time to prove to Krishna in opening his eyes that his father was just making a political maneuvering for his selfish goals then the notion that he gave that as a gift to his DIL or was interseted in Girls education .

more on Adarsh and Professor on its way

Kools,

Whatever the rights or wrongs of Krishna, but to get this type of blind loyalty from a husband is what any married woman would want. Married life is hard in itself but to have the loving support of a husband makes the journey easier. How else has she managed to fight without her husband's support?

Women dont get this type of support. Those suffering from domestic violence have to go into hiding because they dont have any other support or option but to rely on the state to help.

Like I mentioned before, Pratigya does not know what a bad marriage entails and what all problems a woman has to face without support. She will be facing the consequencies of her decisions till today. Has she been homeless? Does she have a baby to support? Is she living in a different country from her parents? has she given birth on her own without husband support No, she can run the her parents whenever she wants. Real issues are beyond her comprehension.

In Red, Well said the incidents already happened in her life were also beyond her comprehension and yes she didn't know how to tackle these circumstances and people. Now she seems to come to taking charge of these and off course in due course of time she will develop further strength in coping with even difficult story line that we will be witness to in a very near future

Blind loyalty is true indeed .Even in the Guruma scene he took HER side and went against his dad . What irked him later was the fact that indeed there was a grain of truth in what his mom spoke.......he was being terribly neglected as a husband and was being taken for granted .
Right from not changing her name , to Kesar to this point where he told her u go ahead , never mind that personally I dislike the lawyer , u can engage him for ur Dad , he has stood staunchly by her side . Behind her back when his family blasts her he defends her alone .
In normal life we dont see such staunch support . There r many clashes and men insist that their families be given precedence .Thats reality for u . Real domestic violence is horrible . I wont even go into that . What I see is a very imbalanced equation...that she goes out of the way to make life difficult for him with her non adjusting , taking the bull by the horn stands and he makes life easy for her with unconditional support . And so my pity as a viewer goes to him .

One glaring inconsistency that can be easily fixed is sending Kesar to her maike. This darling of a girl who has resigned to her plight in life needs a break from the hell hole that is the SS Niwas at least during her pregnancy. She hasn't seen her family in eons and yet Prats gets to practically praise and glorify her maike and their immature antics and how without \her presence their sun wouldn't rise on a daily basis. Simple reality check can't hurt here. If this bahu can run around fixing maike's messes why can't a girl who is pregnant and who's feet hurts and who was promised to be Queen of Niwas until the baby came is back to being the worker bahu bee in the house while the other bahu shows up when she pleases?

She explained to Kesar it takes time to file court papers. Didn't she hire Mathur to do all that? Has she appointed herself as Mathur's paralegal and taking care of the details for filing court papers?

Glorifying a female lead is fine but why does it feel sometimes like they are insulting our intelligence with these bizarre Jhansi ki Rani moments? Papa in self-imposed imprisonment needs saving on a daily basis when he can't get out anyways till the case goes to trial or he is released on bail. Where do they have money for that? Isn't the Prof. incapable of getting a loan on his house as it is?
