Hey everyone - I'm back with my second chapter!
Chapter 2
'Where has my insolent son wandered off to now? Behooda - he's always here when I don't want him, and never here when I do!' muttered Thakur Sajjan Singh, the renowned, ruthless businessman from Allahbad. He paced around the site, looking annoyed and irritable.. His workers decided it was in their best interests to keep well away from him!
'So, old man, did you miss me?' he laughed. A handsome, muscular young man walked slowly, yet proudly, towards Sajjan Singh. He wore a purple shirt and dark jeans, his shirt sleeves rolled up, and his top buttons undone, revealing part of his toned muscular upper body.. His mouth curled into a smirk, his eyes narrowing - if there had been any girls around, they would have fainted!
'Behooda where have you been! I have been waiting for you for the last half hour, and then all you do when you do get here is give me that stupid look! Don't show me that stupid flirty look behooda - I am your father! If we were at home right now, I would have shown you, Krishna!' said Sajjan Singh, annoyed.
'Ahh, Babuji, just admit it - you love me too much to tell me off!' Krishna replied in a rather amused voice!
'Hutt! Sasura, you're telling me how I will behave!' came the reply!
'Anyway, what did you want?' asked Krishna.
'Come inside and I will tell you..' said Sajjan Singh, slightly less ticked off than before..!
Pratigya walked slowly to the market, her head down so she could conceal the tears dripping down her face.. She often thought about her predicament, but there was nothing she could do.. How Pratigya longed to get married - to have a family, to love and be loved. Her saas should be like a mother, and her sasur should be like a father to her - something which she ached to have. She remembered the time where she had called her aunt and uncle 'Maa' and 'Papa'.. and how they had coldly rejected her. What was it they said? ..'We are not your parents and you are not our daughter - you are a worthless good-for-nothing child thrust upon us against our will!' The tears fell faster and Pratigya's vision was blurred. Wiping off the tears, she looked up.. oh no.. trouble!
