CHAPTER 2
Pratigya got herself dressed in a pink shirt and a dark brown formal pants. Her hairs laid open… she applied a light pink gloss on her lips. Carefully taking all her certificates and her grade cards…she made her way quickly towards the main door…making it a point that her dad doesn't notice her.
Her dad was busy taking the breakfast… but still spotted her moving out of the home.
Shyamji: Pratigya… beta… subah subah… formals mein kahaan ja rahi ho?
Prat: Ohh ..papa… woh… (she thought of some excuse.. n den said confidently) Papa… aaj humare college mein.. presentation hain… wahi jaa rahe hain,,,
Her dad wished her best of luck.. n she left the home quickly. Calling over the driver.. she said him " Singh Developers.. in 20 minutes"
The way to her destination was quite rough as there was some kind of construction going on. Under her breath she kept on praying that she reaches that place on time. The road had a critical traffic jam..and she kept on shouting at the driver for not choosing any alternative road. Though the driver tried hard to convince her that, that was the shortest route…which he had taken… but miss short temper wasn't really convinced.
She waited in the car for almost ten minutes.. after which the traffic loosened a bit. Her car was about to speed away when a man .. came and stood infront of the car.
She was already getting late and so even didn't want to waste the least bit of time. Quickly lowereing the glass of the window… she shouted out…
"What the hell… what do u think u r doing !!!!"
The man shouted equally loudly… " Hello Mam… just chill… am not here to rob u… just wanted a lift from u "
She retorted back " Why me …"
And he replied back " Because u r damn beautiful….. (Pratigya was fuming) (the man laughed out) obviously bcoz ur car was the 1st one which I could spot "
Pratigya looked up and said quickly " Look.. I am in a hurry…"
" And so am I… n u r the one whoz wasting time… just come to the point and tell me where are u going.." said the man, full of attitude.
Prat: " Hey… Xcuse me!!!"
" well.. u r not excused… looks like Mam has a lotta tym to waste.. but am in a hurry… so lemme tell u.. that I wanna go to Singh Developers… and I guess u are also going in that way… "
The name of Singh Developers distracted Pratigya from her fight…and she realized that she had only 5 minutes left " Ohh Crap!!! I needa reach there quickly…"
Realizing that refusing the lift will make her indulged in further talks and delays… she asked him to come inside.
The man came inside… and sat there comfortably… making Pratigya shrink a bit in her place. She gave a cold look to him and then looked outside.
The rest of the journey was in a silence and soon they reached their destination. The man almost jumped off her car as soon as they reached the building.
Pratigya came out silently … she could not help but think about that manner less guy.. " doesn't even bother to say a Thank U… mannerless… "
Sajjan Singh was quite in a shock to see his younger son share the same lift with him..
SS: Krishna… U… tum… yahaan…
Krish: Yeah dad.. actually just wanted to surprise U...
SS: I am indeed surprised… actually I can expect u at any place… but the office
Krish: C'mon Dad.. !!!!! its been 3 months that I have returned from USA… n am getting sucked up…. Can u just suggest me.. something interesting and entertaining for the day
SS: Beta… am busy.. n u want some interesting and entertaining for a day…in the office 😲
Krish: Now don't tell me…out of the 14 branches … in 14 different countries… u have nothing interesting to offer to your most talented son.
SS: My Goodness… u do noe the number of branches….our business has,,,
Krish: Dadd!!!!!!!!!!!!
SS: Ohk… look… right now… the only interesting thing that I can offer u… is umm… yeah… ur big brother is taking interviews for new candidates… u can join him……
Krish: Dad.. !!! next time I will gift u an OXFORD DICTIONARY on ur b'day which will actually get u the meaning of the word Interesting
SS: Look son.. !! am busy… if u can, adjust with whateva I tell u… else..just don't head my head
SS left a confused Krishna … he stared around only to find some damn serious people working around. With a look * God save me* he made his way to Shakti's cabin.
Krishna entered the cabin of his elder brother. He was too an MBA from USA.. but unlike him…he was damn boring ..which meant he was interested in working. He looked at his cabin with wide eyes .. it was clean and furnished stylishly. The cupboards were full with various books… and his desk was full of papers. He saw his brother busy looking at the laptop and even didn't notice his presence.
Without looking at the man who entered his cabin… Shakti asked softly
" Sit down!!! Yeah.. ur name please …"
" Umm… Singh… Krishna Thakur Singh "
Shakti looked up straight and found his younger brother sitting opposite to him.
Shakti: Krishna… tu yahhan…
Krish: Haan.. bhaiyya.. am here… n now u don't start interviewing me… coz I have already answers similar question to dad.
Shakti: But Krishna.. the interview is just gonna start in a few minutes… and..
Krishna: I am here for that only bhaiyya… today am gonna help u in taking the interviews.
Krishna quickly made himself comfortable beside Shakti while the later just prayed that things doesn't mess up with the Mr. Messy beside him.
He first candidate soon made her way to Shakti's cabin and Krishna almost jumped off his seat to greet her…
Krish: Hey Gorgeous
Shakti immediately shot a *kill u* look to Krish which almost went unnoticed by the former.
Fearing that Krishna might blabber some more of such irrelevant talks.. Shakti started with the interview quickly… without giving him a chance to speak in between.
Shakti could clearly see Krishna indicating the gal to call him as she was about to leave the cabin.
Shakti: O God..Krishna… behave urself…
Krish: Yeh.. Dad wasn't wrong u c.. dis is indeed fun.!!!!
He arranged his hairs perfectly before the next candidate came in….
Thankfully… most of the candidates coming thereafter were boys n Shakti thanked God a ton for that. Even there were some gals there… but mostly were soo unimpressive that Krishna didn't even get the interest to ask them their names.
Shakti could clearly see that his younger brother was already bored… and he laughed within. He was happy that finally hez interesting office game would come to an end just within some more time… n den Shakti would do his work properly.
Krishna almost dozed off in his seat when suddenly a sweet voice got him off his trace.
" May I come in Sir.."
Both Krishna and Shakti looked up…while Shakti just gave a professional short reply asking her to take a seat.. Krishna kept looking at her.
Quickly Krishna typed a message to his bhabhi "Please call and get bhaiyya engaged in for some time… I need to do a work..please bhabhi..its urgent "
The action was taken just within a fraction of seconds… and soon Shakti got a call from Kesar. Though he tried to avoid her call saying that he was busy… but Kesar just took up the topic that Shakti could never avoid… their wud b baby.
Krishna smirked thinking of his intelligent and supportive bhabhi.. n then quickly looked straight at the girl
Krish: Hi.. Miss Car wali..
Pratigya instantly shot up her eyes to look at the man sitting opposite to her. Since the time she had entered the cabin.. she was too nervous to observe that the other man sitting there was the same mannerless guy whom she had given a lift in her car.
Prat: UUuuuuuu!!!
Krish: Yeha.. Me… well neva knew that u are cuming here for an interview…
Prat: U… gonna take my interview ??
Krish: Aaahh.. again.. tym pass... well is dis ur hobby?
Prat: Shut ( realizing that he the member of the panel whuz gonna take her interview and as it is… she needed the job badly toprove to her dad…she controlled her emotions)..well..can u please cum to the point…
Krish: Look..whuz saying.. neway.. yeah.. lemme cum to the point.. whats ur name?
Prat: Pratigya Saxena…( forwarding her certificates and grade cards towards Krishna)
Krish: Who du u think..gonna take a look at these… (Pratigya made a curious face) U r In ..
Prat: I am in… means?
Krish: again..tym pass.. (smirks) U r in..means.. u r selected for the job..
Prat: But… interview…
Krish: U may leave now.. collect ur joining letter from the reception.
Pratigya left the cabin with a confused look… she was too puzzled to even enjoy the fact that she was selected. Thinking the man to b a complete crazy.. she made her way to he reception…
Krishna walked over to his bhaiyya… and pulled the phone from him..
" Bhabhi.. my job is done… Thank U ..muah.. u r a best bhabhi in the world"
Shakti was already shocked at this act of his brother and was further shocked when Krishna informed him that he has actually chosen the candidate for the post and has even given her the joining letter. Before Shakti could utter a single word… Krishna left the room.. humming the song
