There are many things I disagree with in this post but since the post itself is so long and I may not be able to keep track of my own thoughts while answering it, I'll take these one by one. I dont not agree that Krishna lied for Pratigya. Not a single incident justifies this argument. While the family wanted a grandchild and were dropping heavy hints about Kriya producing an heir, there was no immediate urgency to do that because this lie was told right after the news of Shakti's baby news was broken and the Thakurs were already in a celebration mood. If anything the heat on Pratigya would have been less at such a time. So what if they all thought that her nausea was pregnancy related. He could have easily dispelled that notion after their supposed visit to the doctor. It is not that women never fall sick. They would have been disappointed at first but then the jubilation over the prospective grandchild through Shakti would have made them forget another baby, at least for some time.I have used the word "subconscious' in my post . That he was subconsciously trying to protect Pratigya. In a WRONG way .I have used the word wrong and subconscious BOTH . He personally is not intimidated by his father or brother and can handle them . Its his educated wife he cannot handle . He loves her but clearly doesnt understand her . However he knows that her way of handling things and her ideas wONT GO DOWN WELL WITH HIS FAMILY . He is sandwiched between the chauvinistic expectations of his father and the stubborn stand of his wife ..........that she will have a non consummated marraige for LIFE . He could have raped her long back and many times over but he did not coz he is Krishna and NOT sajjan Singh . That is the essential diffrence that Pratigya mISSES . Had it been his father or his bRo Shakti ....they wud NOT have hesitated to rape their wives and that marital rape wud have been accepted as a sad but true fact of life as it is done in many families in INdia. Their wives wud have become pregnant due to the rapes ....they wud have ensured that . But Krishna did not do it and this is a fact . Not just due to his ego .........that now I wont touch u ........but also coz he cannot hurt her by going to his fathers level . Yes he is a beast born in a beastly family but he has taken a fancy to HER and does not want to maul her is the sad truth . Which she ovbiously MISSES . The catching of the throat and the rape attempt were when she drove him to fury with her blames . He Knows His Dad ...he wud make Pratigya miserable .His lie was to keep his Dad happy by stalling the old man and getting Pratigya Pampered temporarily and also wondering if , his wife wud really allow him to touch her at last and become pregnant at least to keep the lie up . And I cant bring myself to be angry with him as a viewer for this.....it was a bumbling human attempt to keep up the semblance of a marraige . HIS way . Pratigya has her own way of maintaining a facade of marraige .....so why be so hard on him .

Yesterday Krishna himself said that the lie was perpetrated because he wanted to make his father happy. Did he bother about his father's happiness when he insisted in marrying Prats when SS clearly did not want her as his bahu? Knowing the reality of his own marriage he very well knows he cannot make thebaby suddenly appearunless he forces himself on Pratigya (which is what he actually tried to do and may have well done if SS had not interrupted him). As to the whole house knowing that she was not sleeping with him and coming after her, I think he can tackle that too, if he can go against the whole world for her. Remember Amma had already mentioned that she did not let him touch her on the first night and he shut her up saying that it is between husband and wife and no one was to interfere in that. Anyway I dont understand the reason why bedroom secrets would come out if they say that Prats was not pregnant. The Thakurs thought that Kesar could not give a child for so many years although she was with her hubby. They did not conclude she did not sleep with her husband. Prats has been married only for a few weeks so why would they jump to this conclusion. Have answered above . In my opinion these r irrelevant things . Kesar may have not shown a pregnancy for 5 years but the house KNEW that she was sleeping with Shakti ...........It is an Indian joint family where such private facts have their own way of getting known . It wud not be long before Pratigya 's bedroom secrets wud be known too . I dont believe he wud have raped her .........Rapists r diffrent . They dont wait for so many days ,,,,,,,,,plain and simple .It is a marvel that he did not inspite of being in a household which eggs him on to RAPE as a RIGHT .Infact we see Pratigya saying to him I trust u at a certain point . He ultimately grew resigned to the fact of just having her around and LIKING JUST THAT . We see him observing her in the bedroom with a pleased expression on his face as she is fuming at the lie prior to her tirade and catching her throat . We see him telling his family I want her back bas .Its Not Sex that he seeks singlemindedly , neither is he a voyeur . Even having her around , although in a non consummated marraige ,, is ok for him . Krishna does not look at other women like Shakti . And Pratigya gambled very ridiculously when she decided to go into the marraige with vengeance to teach him a lesson .........had she wondered or thought what if he rapes me ? Was there any guarantee ? It was her luck wasnt it that Krishna turned out to be Krishna and not Shakti or SS . Men r not so nice when taunted or denied Sex and Pratigya was too inexperienced to know it before starting on her vengeance track wasnt she . So Krishna does desrve some credit here for NOT being an Angad .

So to me, Krishna's lie was not said out of any concern for Prats but concern for himself. It appeared like he wanted to use the opportunity to really get Prats pregnant.Perhaps but is that so wrong ? I find her expectation that he will never touch her and abide by her vengeful rules for the rest of her life while she goes on being a dutiful bahu rather unrealistic.

Pratigya said she will not let him touch her ever. So why was he then holding on to her. A man who was so desperate for the physical union should have divorced her right there. If he 'lubbed' her then he should have tried to win her over by finding out what she wants and not what he wants. As to the rape attempt being stopped if she cried 'you are hurting me', I remember she already did but he did not care. He wud have stopped as he is nOT a rapist ...........had he been one , he wud have raped her much earlier . It was RAGE and she does taunt him a lot although I dont condone his rage . Winning her over .......what does that mean ? That he shud change himself totally for her ?Is she changing herself for any man .....be it nitin or him ?I remember she had firmly told Ill not change who Im for my hubby let him like or dislike me as I am .........during the Nitin phase . So how can he suddenly effect a total personality change ? What an unrealistic expectation ! She shud change him with love ......love has immense power than angry demands . His attempts to love her ........the rabri , the sari , The noticing that she works and needs rest ...........r crude attempts but attempts on his part ..............what is there from her side except zilch ? The holding on to her is the crux of this serial .....if he lets go , this serial 's TRPS go down . That holding on is love as many of us see it ........defined by some as madness but Love has no bounds and is often madness . Who wud see this serial only to see her moralizing Yeh Sahi hai and Yeh Galat hai ? We come [ at least me] to see this holding of his ..........and also to see if that holding affects HER as a woman .

Yes, he can hurt the world for Pratigya and that includes Pratigya herself. He has hurt her both physically and emotionally and is too pompous to admit he is at fault. Oh yes, he did say 'sarry' in front of everyone but it did not seem like it came from the heart. So much for apology. Disagree here totally . He wud never hurt Pratigya and his sorry did come from the heart . Inspite of being so egoistic he apologised in front of all when he cud have pulled out a gun and shooed her family members away and dragged her home if he chose .The Fact remains that he cannot bring himself to hurt her by choice ......the few times he did it were when he was pushed . What else shud he have done , licked her feet or something ? She has hurt him far more emotionally after the marraige............as he was emotioanally involved in her ......she never was .involved in him as such so emotionally he cannot really get to her . Thats the reason she cud watch him so cockily with folded hands , walk inside and slam the door on his face ...........coz she isnt emotionally involved in him . Emotionally he definetely is far the greater victim ........though I admit that his forceful actions earlier destroyed her mental peace and she had a full right to be angry . But she has now crossed on to other dimensions in her life and needs to RETHINK . Like Komal said .

This is an attempt on his part to try and understand her feelings .........what does she do ? Ever wonder that it is a marvel he has ANY humanity left in him after being bred in this atmosphere ? I dont remember reading anywhere that this is a story of beauty and the beast. If anything they have been saying that this is a story against eave teasing and stalking. While Krishna is not as evil as Angad, he pretty much stalked her threatened her etc. If she gives in easily then it is a an encouragement for all stalkers to keep stalking and threatening the objects of attraction. Krishna has to change if not totally at least to some extent. He should begin to think of others besides himself. He should make a genuine attempt at understanding Prats and reform himself. He may not always be successful in doing so but even an attempt could melt Prat to some extent. I think once the misunderstandings are cleared (which I hope will happen sooner than later), Prats would definitely help in the rest of the transformation. I said that as MY OPINION . I see it as a proverbial story of the beauty and the beast and many agreed with me . No its not just about eve teasing and stalking . Its about a couple thrown together for the wrong reasons and love developing . And So i suggested that its High time she starts the walk half way . 2] Her so called education is of NO USE if she doesn't understand the simple fact what even that uneducated , rustic Komal pointed out to her ..........That Krishna tries to do the right things in the wrong way all the time . His ways r wrong , immature , forceful , but his goals r not bad . Education enables u to have a calm perspective and arrive at the root of the problem , but Pratigya expects Krishna to have good manners , to stand and sit like a gentleman , to be like Nitin perhaps .......well it just wont happen . What efforts has she done from her side to fulfil her own expectations ? Of trying to change Krishna with love , as a woman ? Love has Far greater power than ANGER and sumone needs to tell Pratigya that . 3] Both Komal and Krishna........the rustic uneducated duo tried to WORK ON THEIR MARRAIGE..So True !!. The Adarsh Pratigya DUO Did not make a single effort .They married for vengeance . They do not believe in letting bygones be bygones and accepting the present situation and making the most of it or bringing the best out of it . See what Naina's love did to Komal .........she is rapidly changing .It is NOT ADARSH WHO CHANGED KOMAL .....he just ignored her , and secretly pined for Roli and constantly showed her contempt [ just like his sister] ..........telling her u can NEVER be in the same mould as my sisters are , a very cruel and hurtful thing to say to a wife . He was excellent at going around with a perpetual frown on his face when his wife was around . Komal had simple expectations and his love wud have had perhaps an even more faster change than Nainajis love for Komal but Adarsh just didnt give it .

Pratigya meanwhile gave her 100% to her sasural but 0% to Krishna . I still Dont understand how an educated girl like her thought that this situation wud work long term ...........this not sleeping with husband and being excellent bahu outside to maintain a facade . Exactly how long was SHE expecting to pull it off without people noticing and commenting ? Komal had noticed , so had Amma understood later . Instead of telling Krishna that DHANG SE BAAT KARO , Why dont Adarsh and Pratigya question themselves of what use is their education if it doesnt even teach them how to read people correctly and define a marraige ? Education shud enable a person to work on his marraige more than an uneducated person right ? Does It !! ...I see more of educated ppl going for divorce than the so called un-educated one's But I dont see it with Pratigya or Adarsh at all . They r committed to not working on their marraige and sticking to vengeance .............great education indeed .

5] Pratigya doesnt seem to excercise her own brain much as a WOMAN .True!!True !! True !! She is always listening to her Dad , Mum , Dadi , or even Aarushi . More like a SANSKAARI ROBOT . There r somethings beyond typified Sanskaars and have to be understood with the heart and instincts of a woman ,her femininity has not yet awakened . Komal has those qualities........see how she instinctively sensed Roli as a threat . See how she bluntly told her Dad and Amma That Im not gonna give up mY MARRAIGE for Ur EGO ISSUES . She told her bro Krishna off so that SHE CUD HAVE A MARRAIGE .............Pratigya stood there with a cocky expression on the face , not realising that Komal is protecting her marraige but she is giving a hang whether HER [ Pratigyas] marraige with her bro exists . That Want for a marital life has made Komal perhaps selfish that she has outgrown her Dad and her blood brother even . She has moved on to the next phase of her life ,just cos she did not support her dad doesn't make her selfish...and as for Sis-Bro relationship even though she scolds BAba and send him off ...,in the next instant she defends him stoutly against the saxena's ...she has got her priorities right !!Pratigya did NOT understand this fact as a woman as she has NO womanly instincts at all . Later This Same Komal came around and told the Professor that Tell Ur Daughter na to realise that Baba loves her like crazy but is only doing things the wrong way .

6] The Professor is Not sending Pratigya back purely for an Ego issue .............it is interesting to note that he is willing to send her back to that same hell hole if SS himself comes to take her . You are missing the point!! If Krishna were to take Pratigya against the wishes of his family...,Then her life would be hell but if SS were to take her back then Amma,Shakthi would know that SS support is with Pratigya and will restrain themselves and Life May be be tolerable for Pratigya ...That hell hole is not gonna change .........it is gonna remain exactly like before . Had the professor brought her back for good I wud not say anything but He is ready to send if SS comes .So this is NOT a fight of right vs wrong , purely an ego issue .And What does the PROF expect that after making SS bend and come to take his daughter , this fact will be forgotten by her sasuralwaalahs and she will be treated like a queen once she goes back ? Isnt it aggravating the situation ...this egoistic stand ?It hardly seems a principled stand to me .

Btw .....To date after the slap episode Both The prof and Naina have NOT asked Pratigya why she has not allowed Krishna to touch her as a wife ..............is this ok with their sanskaars ? This ugly fact came out prior to the slap , so how come they r not telling their own child a few things of life ........that staying in a marraige as a way to punish is destructive , either gET OUT OF IT or give it ur hundred percent . Instead they r oiling her hair and pampering her ...........where is DADi now ? When most needed ?

7] There is a scene in this serial when Pratigya clearly tells Roli that she feels nothing from inside ........No STIRRING inspite of Liking Nitin as a prospective groom . Well if the creatives choose to show Pratigya falling in love finally , show her experiencing the stirring inside and out from within . Let us see her scared for having such feelings , of being unable to identify them or analyse them . Let us see her scared for having such feelings for sumone who is absolutely NOT HER TYPE. That wud be very interesting . Let us see it finally dawning on her what Krishna must have felt all along and identifying with them . I want her to love Krishna for what he is FIRST and THEN change him with her love by channelising his emotions in the right direction ....I DONT WANT TO SEE KRISHNA CHANGING FIRST AND THEN PRATIGYA FALLING IN LOVE . That is hardly a love story .

8] Bonding between Krishna and at least one of Pratigya's family members is a MUST . Be it Dadi and Krishna [ That wud be a hilarious touch or Nainaji and Krishna] . This person can be used to show Pratigya a diffrent perspective . Similiarly , Bonding between Pratigya and Krishna's friends is a must ........so she can understand Krishna better .I dont know if this has already been shown ........If so Ive missed it . They cud show her having no attitude and bonding with them for starters .

9] The Saxenas r a 'GOOD 'family but The Singhs are 'REAL" and a family in their own way . They r uneducated , coarse , with their own brand of humor and sarcasm , their own values , their own rules . For instance they answer with a counter question instead of a direct humble answer like the Saxenas but the answer is given in the counter question itself . We see Krishnas mom feeding him litchis in a certain way and he enjoying it . They are direct in their talks and dont sugar coat words . When observed , reality comes across thru the Singhs . The changes that family needs can be shown gradually instead of quick expectations . It wud be fun to see that . For instance Shakti can be shown getting attached to the very kid he wanted aborted due to Pratigya and relations between him and Kesar improving . This show has tremendous potential.
