Acharya said, I want to meet new Kulvadhu...Chandra had his head down...Will the Emperor be kind enough to grace his servant....Chandra said, Acharya please, you are my Guru... Acharya said, no Chandra I am not, I didn't teach you to forcibly marry women. He said, Acharya it's consensual, I didn't force her. He said, oh so you have been honey trapped? How can you trust daughter of your enemy. He said, I don't Acharya, except you and Durdhara, I trust no one in this world. Acharya said, then why you married her? He said, Acharya I.....he stopped....Acharya said, tell her I want to meet her. Chandra told guards to tell Helena about Acharya and let her meet him. Guards told about Acharya to Helena and his position of a guru and like a father of Chandra. Helena said, like a father? Guard said, yes my queen. Helena went to meet Acharya. She did pranam and touched his feet. He was shocked. He said sada suhagan Raho. He took a good look of her and said, now I understand why Chandra married you. Tell me daughter, did Chandra force you in this marriage? She said, no Achar....he smiled....guard said, Acharya not Achar.. Helena said forgive me....Acharya....he didn't force me in any way. I willingly married him. He asked, why? She said, because I love him. Acharya said, you are very young. Perhaps you were infatuated and confused it with love. She said, I love him Acharya and wouldn't marry anyone other than him. Acharya said, your age is very testing my child, I hope you won't regret your decision. You know he has queens already. She said, I know. He said, do you know he has kids too? She was shocked, she said I didn't know that. He said only few know this and now you. Helena was shocked but still didn't regret marrying him. Acharya said, I will allow this marriage on few conditions otherwise I will send you to your father immediately. Helena was shocked, what are the conditions? He said, you will never be chief queen. Do you agree? She said, I know about Diodora and her place in Samrat's life and the Empire. I don't wish to snatch her place. I agree. Acharya said, fine. Next, what do you think about inheritance of the throne? Helena smiled, she said for inheritance I will have to imagine his death.....I can't bear to think of that....I don't care about it....Acharya says, fair enough, He asked, are you an assassin? Are you a honey trap? She laughed, Acharya let your spies find about this. Acharya smiled and patted her head , he said, all wives of Chandragupta are like my daughters , I can not differentiate between them but Durdhara is special and Niyati says child born from her will be very illustrious, auspicious and great Samrat of the dynasty. Helena said, for me Chief Queen has the same place like Emperor in my heart. She has been his childhood friend and I care for her just like Samrat. Acharya thought, either she is lying or she is blindly in love. He smiled.

In night Helena met Chandra again.......she looked very beautiful specially with Sindoor in her hairline. His room was filled with scent of red roses........Helena came to him and hugged him from behind and kissed his back..... passionately. Chandra turned back and gave her a passionate kiss..... Chandra said, you always forget me that you are my enemy. Helena said, not me my father....he smiled...Helena kissed his neck and said.....My Sandrocottus......he grabbed her neck.....and inhaled her scent..he said, my fragrant rose......he pulled her very close....and started twirling her hair....she was lost in him....He removed her necklace and kissed her neck.....she grabbed him tightly.....and he picked her up and took her to the bed.....he said, you make me forget who I am....right now I feel like enslaved...she grabbed his hair....and said, no sire I am your slave....forever......and Chandra and Helena......ended their longing and embraced their love finally......in early morning...Chandra was deep sleeping as he was very tired while Helena was wrapped around him, she was caressing his chest and crying....she was thinking about the war as Seleucus refused to acknowledge their marriage .......and make peace with him, she thought the war is inevitable, I can't bear to see father and my husband fight each other.....why is father not understanding my love for Samrat? He loved me too much, what happened now? Was I never as important as Antiochus for whom he can do anything? Its just because I was a girl. What if he has already disowned me? Her tears were falling on his chest and he woke up. He said what is wrong? Are you in pain? She said yes and she put his hand on her heart, here, I am in pain. Chandra said, don't worry, you are daughter of a warrior and now wife of a warrior. Warriors don't cry. She said, perhaps I am not a warrior. Chandra pulled her closer and said it's almost morning otherwise I wouldn't leave you...he touched her lips.....but I must....he kissed her and left....she was still very sad.....

Part 115

After few days Chandra left with Shashank and Acharya with his army. Helena was alone in the palace but with guards. She was praying for the peaceful outcome of the war. Seleucus attacked first.....the war went off to many months with many skirmishes....but Chandragupta'a forces were very dominant, specially the elephants, in the end Chandra's army crushed Seleucus, as he was fighting suddenly he attacked Chandra from back but he fell down hit by a soldier....he was captured...his army surrendered....he was taken in chains in front of Chandragupta, he said release him of chains, he was released, he said keep him in my tent but with honour, he shouldn't be harmed but also he shouldn't escape. Seleucus said, don't show me mercy.....I don't want it from you. Chandragupta smirked, he said I am showing mercy to my wife, I can't bear to see tears in her eyes. Seleucus got angry. He was taken away. Helena got the news her father was captured and she was devastated. She looked at her poisoned ring and thought, the day Samrat cuts head of my father I will kill myself. Sorry Samrat but I love my father very much. Seleucus was all alone distressed and humiliated when one his advisors entered. Seleucus said, who let you enter here? He said, I took permission, all our talks are being listened by his guards. Seleucus said, what do you wanna say? He said, Baseilus, you army wants to do peace treaty. They all think it isn't wise that a son in law kept his father in law imprisoned. He shouted, he's not my son in law. Advisor said, sire whether you accept it or not but it's true. Think wisely. He's way too strong. He can be helpful to us against Antigonus. Besides Prince Antiochus is more important than Princess Helena. Who remembers princesses? They are here to be traded off. Besides she's his wife already. Even if you take her back which nobleman would accept her? She might be with a child already. What's the point? Seleucus understood what he was trying to say. Seleucus said, fine , send my message to Sandrocottus for a peace treaty.

After few days, Chandra and Seleucus met each other with their advisors, long talks happened and Seleucus finally surrendered his captured lands and gave it back to Chandra. He recognised Helena and Chandragupta's marriage as legal and established Epigamia (Dynastic alliance) with him. On Helena's request, he gave Seleucus 500 elephants which came as a shocker to him. Seleucus thanked him for this kind gesture. Chandragupta invited him to his court but Seleucus said he wanted to return back. Seleucus ended his enmity with Chandragupta and jokingly called him son. Chandragupta said, it gives me weird vibes.... and they laughed together and even had lunch. Helena was called to finally meet Seleucus, she threw off her Poisoned ring.... Seleucus and Helena were allowed to meet alone but guards were listening their conversation secretly. Seleucus said, you gave me 500 elephants. Thank You. Helena was teary eyed. She said, papa I am so sorry. I never wanted to hurt you. Seleucus said, whatever happened, happened. Helena asked, do you still love me? Seleucus said, I do my child, I still do and she hugged him. Helena said, Papa ........I will miss you. Seleucus for the first time in life cried this much and said, my beloved daughter, he kissed her forehead. He said, he didn't cut my head off because of you. I never thought a girl would save my life in war. She hugged him more tightly. Acharya became teary eyed who was watching this father daughter moment. He said, whether Yavana or Bhartiya, a daughter's love for her father is always pure. After all in the end we all are just humans. She said, give my love with mother and tell her thanks for sending me here so that I could meet my love. Seleucus said, stop it....it might enrage me again and they both laughed tearfully......after few days Seleucus left, Chandragupta and Seleucus hugged. Seleucus left.

They all returned to their palace after so long.....Helena and Chandra reunited ....after a year....

Helena said, I am so happy everything ended well. He said, all's well that ends well. He lied on her lap and she was caressing his hair. She said what's next? He said let us enjoy our peaceful moments here, we might stay here for few more years to consolidate...and we will have plenty of time ....he pulled Helena close....She said, for what? He said....Love......and they embraced very tightly.....

Part 116

The good news spread that Chandragupta won and gained back the lands which once Alexander occupied. Everyone was filled with Joy in Magadha. Acharya came back leaving Chandra and Helena in Taxila. Durdhara asked, how is Chandra Acharya? She was concerned. Did he have any injury. He said, don't worry Agramahishi, everything went so well and his fame has spread far and wide and he did all alone, without my guidance. My little boy has grown up to be a fantastic warrior. Mura was elated at the news and she wished to go back to Taxila but he said to wait as the win was still very recent...and he needed to make it strong. Swarna was happy. Nandini came to meet them and gave paid her regards to Acharya. She was happy with Chandra's victory but to give pain to Durdhara she asked, who is this new wife of Chandra Acharya? I have heard she is very beautiful. Durdhara saw her with angry eyes. Acharya said, Mahadevi, please don't involve me in these talks. Let it be remained in Antahpura only. Durdhara said, Nandini you are a princess right? Don't you know how to behave with Acharya. Nandini looked her with angry eyes. Mura said that's why I don't like Antahpura. Swarna laughed to ease the situation. Acharya left. Mura said, Swarna have you seen my new daughter in law? Swarna said no mother but I do know she smells like roses. Everyone was shocked, Durdhara says roses? She thought, then Chandra must not be able to stand her. That means this marriage he did due to some reason which he couldn't escape. All these rumours of love are lie and she smiled meanwhile Chandra was in Helena's room entangled with her and he was inhaling her scent. Helena laughed, she said you have become an addict of roses. Chandra said, no my love, I am addicted to you. She laughed and kissed him. She hugged him and asked, when are we going to Magadha? I want to meet your family. He said not very soon. Let us have peace here otherwise Durdhara, Nandini and Swarna are ready with their Swords for you. She said Swarna? Who is she now? He said, my other wife whom I kept secret on orders of Acharya and she is mother of my two children. You know she is half Yavana. Her real name is Berenice. She said, what? That means I have a rival. He said no my dear you have three rivals. All three ready to cut each other's throats but I should be kind to my dear Swarna. She said, your dear? She was angry. He said, she has done a lot for me. She is my dearest consort. Helena was highly irritated she said, Durdhara is your beloved, Berenice is your dearest, Nandini I will never understand, but who am I to you? Chandra gently caressed her chin and said you wanna know? She said yes. He said, you are my favourite. Helena laughed and they kissed. Helena asked so that means you love me the most? He said, yes....but don't boast about it or otherwise they all gonna jump on you. She caressed his chest and said, I only care for you and your love. I have no concern with your wives but as you respect chief queen the most I will be respecting her as such. He said, my love.... Durdhara is very close to me....never hurt her....thats my request and my command. She kissed him and said I can't hurt anything which is dear to you. But I like Nandini, she cursed me in your life....and he laughed, they started snuggling...he thought, I wish I could stay here with you alone, how will I face those two mahadevis. Swarna still wouldn't be too upset but those two, always ready to cut me in half.

After a year, Helena gave birth to a child. This made Chandra very happy and he made a grand celebration. They started their journey back to Magadha, Chandra, Helena and their little joy. During journey Helena asked What should we name him? He said, Durdhara will decide his name. She asked why? He's my son. I should decide it. He said it's norm dear, Agramahishi can only decide his name. Helena wasn't pleased but she didn't complain. She said fine. They reached Magadha.

Everyone was shocked to see Helena's beauty. After being a mother she looked even more beautiful. Mura, Durdhara, Nandini and Swarna came to greet the couple and their child. Helena first greeted Mura. She touched her feet (as Chandra told her before). Mura was shocked to see her beauty. She said, you are so pretty. Helena became shy. Every woman was highly jealous to see her. Mura took Helena's baby and went away to play with him. Helena was concerned but Chandra assured her.Mura was very happy to see her new grandchild. Chandransh and Priyadarshini came to see the new queen. Chandransh said one day I will marry a girl this pretty. Helena felt awkward but she laughed. Everyone laughed at this. He said, I wanna play with the baby. He said, no son you cannot. Chandransh and Priyadarshini now knew that Chandra was their father and the declaration that Swarna was also the queen was made after the news of birth of Helena's son was made as it wasn't important to keep Swarna's identity hidden. Chandransh said, father I will also attack Yavandesh to marry such a girl. Swarna shut his mouth with her hands. Swarna in Helena's langauge said sorry. He's too vocal sometimes. Helena laughed at Chandransh and gave him a peck on cheek. Chandra didn't like it. Chandransh felt shy... Priyadarshini meanwhile didn't like Helena. Priyadarshini hugged Chandra and said everyone says father loves you but he loves me.....the situation became highly awkward. Swarna said, kids behave....and she took them away ...... Chandransh looked mesmerized with Helena and she waved bye to him ...he felt shy.

Durdhara came with arti thali looking absolutely gorgeous but also angry...she did arti of Chandra and saw Helena, she was mesmerized, she said Chandra my anger is a little toned down now, I mean who wouldn't want to marry such goddess of beauty. Helena took Durdhara's hand and kissed it. She got shocked. Durdhara thought, is she crazy. Helena said, this is how we greet chief queen. Durdhara said, I understand but don't kiss my hand. It's awkward. We don't kiss hands her, we bow. Chandra said, Helena won't be bowing..... everyone shocked....Chandra said, because she won't be living in Antahpura.... Everyone was confused...he said, there is a separate palace for her near my palace. Everyone started murmuring....by doing this Chandra made Helena equivalent of Durdhara's reputation....He said Shonottara, take Helena to her palace. Nandini said, wow, this even my father didn't do it for his favourite. She chuckled. Durdhara, seems like you are replaced. Durdhara gave arti to her maid and went away in anger. Chandra saw her going away but didn't stop her. He said I will talk with you guys later and left for his own room..

Part 117

In night Durdhara was alone in her room when someone came from behind and close her eyes. She said Kaun? He said in her ears, you forgot my voice in these years? She said, no Chandra, perhaps you forgot me. Chandra looked at her and said, Durdhara I missed you. He hugged her but she broke the hug. She said, you missed me? Looks like you were having a very fun time there. I am surprised you came back with only one child. Chandra said, I know you were gonna be upset. Durdhara said , upset Chandra? You married your enemy's daughter, you are wearing this awful rose perfume, whole empire is filled with rumours of your love story and I shouldn't be upset? Above all you gave her a palace? What do you want to do? Create a new Antahpura? You are trying to degrade me? He said degrade you? I can't even think of it let alone do it. Durdhara said all words Chandra, your actions spoke otherwise. He said, Durdhara I wanted peace and to protect Helena. She can't survive in Antahpura. Durdhara said, no Chandra, you didn't want your precious rose to bow in front of me. Chandra said I confess I don't want her to bow but my concern was to keep my love and my friend away from each other. Durdhara said who is love and who is friend? Years ago didn't you make the declaration of loving only me? So who is your love? Tell me...Chandra was silent. She said tell me Chandra......what's the truth? He said, you want to know? Durdhara said, yes. Chandra said, just how you love me, I love her.... Durdhara was shocked.......she had tears in her eyes and she stared at him in shock. He stared at her but he didn't look guilty, he was standing firm. Durdhara said, so who am I ? A friend now? He said, you are my most beloved Consort and the only person besides Acharya I respect and trust. Durdhara says, you love her but doesn't trust her? He said, no...in this world I can only blindly trust you, Acharya and my mother. Trust and loyalty is above any love. I love you Durdhara but more than that I trust you. Tears started flowing from her eyes....he kissed her and said, you can never be replaced, ever ....I kept her away from you to save you both from pain. You and only you are my soulmate. My soul is entwined with her but you are part of my soul itself. Durdhara said, I want to believe these words. Chandra took her hand and put it on his heart. He said your Chandra will never lie to you, you are my friend first, any relationship is after that. Thats why I confessed that I love Helena, most passionately, just like you love me. Durdhara said, I....I am unable to think. This girl brought so many changes in you. Durdhara asked if you weren't a king, would you still be marrying her? Chandra laughed, he said Durdhara if I weren't a king, you wouldn't leave me alive for marrying again. She laughed... Durdhara said that's true..I would beat you so badly if you saw any other woman, he laughed......he asked her, so now you forgive me? Durdhara said, I have no other option. He kissed her on forehead and when he was about to go she grabbed his hand and said, will my emperor won't be staying here tonight? Chandra said, as my Empress commands.... Durdhara came to him and removed his upper cloth.. she said, My Chandra.. she hugged him...he hugged her back...but this time he did it out of his duty towards his Agramahishi

Chandra's wish to marry Durdhara is still in a waiting mode. Who will bear him the official heir?

Durdhara gets the short end of the stick every time. No marriage to her love. No chance at happiness.

Acharya did well in convincing Malayketu to shift his loyalty to Chandra and even getting Amatya on their side too.

Finally Durdhara get the nod to marry Chandra. It was a long time coming.

Durdhara acted like the true queen. Nandini was being petty but Durdhara was a study in composure and grace.
