Ok I have also posted this in the topic, 'Geetika in other show', started by Nikita.

Wanted to tell u abt Boond Aur Samudera, another teleseries of mine on DD National
I shot for this three months before powder, earlier this show was aired on DD Bharti and won some award for its adaptation.
Its called Boond aur Samudera, directed by N.Chandra (Ankush, Pratighaat, Tezaab, narsimha...), based on a novel by Sahitya academy Awardee Hindi-1967 Amrit lal nagar, Well known for his novels. he won Many awards of Indian Literary organizations, wrote it almost immediately after the Indian independence, so its a period drama, it is set in the traditional street in the downtown Lucknow, The problems and fears of a society-feeling confidant yet a bit hesitant in the wake of the newly won independence constitute the theme, which are woven in a plot peopled with a variety of characters. the lives of the characters are quite explicitly related with the larger social development, thus proving the metaphor of the relation between the drop and the ocean.??At the end, the novel quite unambiguously expresses the author's idea of the kind of society he would like to see emerging. The novel actually exhorts the reader to work for making the Indian independence a true success.


My character in Boond aur Samudera is of Vankanya, bright, educated and a rebel, who stands up for her sister inlaw and goes against her father to get her justice. she is aware of the social development and women's right and a part of a political party also.

its a 13 episode series, I got to work with Seema Biswas (Bandit Queen) and other great actors.
it also has Aman Varma.

it comes at 3pm everyday. Mon to friday,
5 episodes already have been aired.

how are u all? it has been a long time since i last wrote to you guys, missed u all.
Our shoot in bombay wrapped up three days back. only two days of outdoor shooting left for the final Pack up.
