NCB Office - 16:00 - Briefing room

A young man is giving brief to his team about the recent raids. He has dusky complexion and he's in his early thirties. He is wearing white shirt fitted perfectly against his body with two top buttons undone and black trousers. He is leaning against his table facing his team. Little further on table along with file of files and papers there is a name plate which says 'Mahindra Ranade - Superintendent - NCB'.

Mahindra: Jo raids humne recently ki hain ab un sab ka paperwork karne ka time hai. Toh ajj paperwork humari priorty hai.

Officers: Yes sir.

Mahindra: That would be all.

Officers: Thankyou sir.

All the officers leave and Mahindra starts to look at some file. When Kartik enters his office and goes beside him, after waiting few moments he snatches the file from his hands.

Mahindra: HEY!

Mahindra looks up and finds Kartik there, his anger vanishes and a smile appears on his lips.

Mahindra: Tu hai!!

Kartik: Toh aur koun yeh himat karega?

Mahindra stands up from his chair and lean against the desk and faces Kartik.

Mahindra: haan woh baat toh hai. Par es sab ka matlab?

Kartik: Tum kuch bhol rahe ho.

Mahindra gets confused.

Mahindra: Really?! Mujhe toh nahi lagta.

Kartik: Acha.. toh aik nazar zara clock pe toh dal ke dekh.

Mahindra doesn't understand what Kartik is saying until he looks at the hanging wall clock. As soon he looks at the time his mouth opens in shock and he jumps up on his feet.

Mahindra: Abay Yaar!!

He looks away in shock making his hand goes through his hairs.

Mahindra: Es kaam ke chakar mein toh zehan se hi nikal gaya.

Kartik laughs out loud looking at his state Mahindra gives him dagger looks, Kartik holds his laugh there.

Kartik: Main janta tha tu bhol gaya hoga esi liye yaad dilaraha hon.

Mahindra: Mujhe yaad tha par yeh time itni jaldi guzarta hai pata hi nahi lagta.

Mahindra quickly gets his coat and keys and runs towards the door when Kartik calls him from back.

Kartik: 8 baje.. Palace hotel. Puray 8 baje.

Mahindra: acha baba acha.. abhi toh janey de.

Kartik laughs and lets him go.

Mahindra practically runs across the NCB office and down to parking lot.

17:00 - International Airport

Mahindra's eyes are completely glued to the arrivals information displayed on screen. After few minutes he is finally relieved when the most awaited information appears on arrivals screen.

Flight Time Status Gate

Rabat 16:55 Arrived B4

Mahindra is getting really impatient. Once someone told him once that 'the last moments of wait are the most difficult and the longest one' he certainly knows this now.

After few minutes Mahindra has managed to calm himself down slightly. He sits down in waiting area while his eyes still search for something particular. While his eyes are on search mission a beautiful lady comes and sits on the seat behind his seat. A moment later Mahindra's phone rings.

'Private Number'

Mahindra: Hello?

Girl's voice: Hello Mr. Ranade.

Mahindra recognise this voice, he can't ever forget this voice. A huge smile appears on his lips.

Mahindra: Uff kya jadu hai es awaz mein. Bohut tarsa diya apne ab aur nahi hota inteizar.

Girl: Asal maza toh hai esi inteizaar mein. Hum bhi toh dekhein kya haal hai appka es inteizaar mein.

Girl giggles slightly, Mahindra feels awe over her.

Mahindra: Jaan lene ka irada hai kya?

Girl: Howa jo kuch apko agar, bina kasoor marr jayeinge hum.

Mahindra: Marne ki baat chodein ajj toh Milan ki ghadi hai. Yeh baahein bohut tarsi hain, ab aur mat tarsao enhein.

Girl turns around and gets shocked when doesn't find Mahindra where he was sitting.

Girl mutters something to herself which is heard by Mahindra.

Mahindra: Zara nazarein toh ghumayein.

Girl turns around and looks at front and finds Mahindra is standing there. She shakes her head in disbelief and laughs at herself. She runs towards him and hugs him tightly; Mahindra hugs her back with same passion.

Mahindra whispers in her ears "Welcome back Mrs. Ranade. I missed you."

She gets shy and feels proud at the same time. A tall beautiful woman in her early thirties as well, she has a fair complexion, dark eyes, long black hairs tied neatly in hairband. She is wearing white buttoned shirt with black lines and formal grey pants with grey suit jacket.

Girl: Sirf Mrs. Ranade nahi.

Mahindra: Toh?

Girl: Mrs. Mahindra Ranade.

Mahindra: Woh dosron ke liye. Mere liye toh sirf Mrs. Ranade yaan...

Girl: yaan?

Mahindra: Yaan.... mera pyaari Brinda.

Both finally break from hug but still holding onto each other, they didn't realised for how long they were hugging each other and their action managed to gather a lot of crowd.

Mahindra looks at crowd and then back at her and again at crowd.

Mahindra: Don't worry, yeh meri biwi hai. Apni biwi ko galay lagana gunaah hai kya?

Brinda gets really embarrassed but feels awe over him.

Brinda: MAHINDRA!

Mahindra looks at her and smiles innocently.

Mahindra: Arre.. apni biwi ke saath romance kar raha hon. Enka kya jata hai.

Brinda: Haan.. lekin yeh public place hai.

Mahindra looks at her somewhat hurt.

Mahindra: Tum toh aise bol rahi ho jaise tumne kuch kiya hi nahi.

Brinda looks at him shockingly then hits him playfully on his shoulder, Mahindra laughs out loud.

Brinda: Chalo.

Finally they get Brinda's luggage and leave from airport.

17.20 - In Car

Brinda: Aww.. finally! I'm so glad to be back.

Brinda keep glaring at Mahindra which doesn't go unnoticed him.

Mahindra: Aise gur se kya dekh rahi ho?

Brinda: Bohut miss kiya tumhe.

Mahindra: Maine bhi, bar ab toh hum saath hain. Ab judaai ke bare mein kya sochna.

Brinda: Tum kuch bhol nahi rahe?

Mahindra looks at her for a moment.

'Hey bhagwan.. isay yeh abhi kehna tha?'

Mahindra: Nahi.. nahi toh. Kyun kuch yaad rakhna tha kya?

Brinda feels slightly hurt but doesn't show it. She smiles and nods her head as no.

Mahindra: Tumhara campaign kaisa tha?

Brinda: Haan.. bohut acha tha, kafi successful tha. Hum around 85% tak Moroccan women ko help kar paye. Aur baki 25% jo hain unke liye bhi kaam chal raha hai. Khari chodo tum yeh sab aur batao yahan sab kaisa khal raha hai?

Mahindra: yeh wohi sab, jaise pehla tha. Haan drugs smugglings ke percentage mein kafi fark aya hai last 6 months mein. 5.8% kam hogayi hai.

Brinda: Wow...that's fantastic.

Mahindra looks at her smiles; Brinda leans towards his side and give him a quick kiss on his cheeks.

Mahindra looks at her with the most loving way and just whispers the magical words ' "I Love You". Brinda smiles and thinks to herself.

'There's a reason which makes me fall more and more for him. It's ok if he forget few things sometimes but I know that he will never forget me. Gosh...I just love him so much!'

While Brinda is lost in her thoughts she doesn't realise that they've reached their home. Mahindra's slight shake brings her out from her deep thoughts.

Mahindra: Kahan khoh gayi?

Brinda: Kahin nahi, bas aise hi.

Both come out of car and Mahindra walks over to her side. Brinda walks towards the entrance when Mahindra holds her hand from behind and pulls her towards him, in one swift she finds herself in his arms again. Mahindra looks deeply into her eyes; Brinda feels butterflies in her tummy again, it happens every time when he touches her. It surprises her so much that STILL with his single touch she can feel so many butterflies in her tummy. Mahindra slowly press his lips against her and both share a passionate kiss.

Few minutes later they break from kiss, still managing to keep an eye contact.

Mahindra: Dobara kabhi bhi mujhe akela chodh kar mat jana itne waqt ke liye.

Brinda: Maine wahan aik aik pal kaise guzara tumhare bina main janti hon.

Mahindra: Main sirf itna janta hon tumhare bina meri zindagi ka aik din bhi aise hota hai jaise bina atma jism.

Brinda: Mera haal bhi aisa hi tha. I just love you so much.

Both walk inside their house with hand in hand and with a satisfied smile on their faces.

19.10 - Ranade House

Both Mahindra & Brinda were really tired so thought to rest for a while; both were sleeping peacefully in each other's arms. This is the most peaceful sleep they had after long 6 months because they were away from each for 6 long months.

Soon this peaceful sleep gets disturbed when Mahindra's phone rings. It's Kartik reminding him that they've to be at palace hotel at 8. He looks at the alarm clock on his side table it's 19.10.

Mahindra: Oh God... main bas thodi dair mein nikalta hon. Haan bas araha hon. Sab ready hai na? Theek hai hum bas atay hain.

Mahindra disconnects the phone and turns his attention towards Brinda who is sleeping so peacefully which makes Mahindra thinks twice before deciding onto waking her up. He doesn't want to disturb her but he knows he has to. Mahindra gently tries to wake her up, Brinda still in half sleep asks him to let her sleep.

Mahindra gets up carefully making sure she doesn't wake up and goes in bathroom to get ready. 10 minutes all ready he quietly leaves the house, leaving a sleeping Brinda alone. He knows Brinda will hate him for this but he had to take that risk; he knows she will understand.

Few minutes later Brinda's phone rings, who is still sleeping. She picks up phone in half sleep and is shocked when hears Mahindra's voice on the other end. Brinda looks around and finds Mahindra missing from the room.

Brinda: Kahan ho tum?

Mahindra: I'm sorry mujhe aiise nikalna padha par baat hi kuch aisi thi.

Brinda: Lekin..

Mahindra: Brinda.. meri baat suno, main bas kaam khatam karke ata hon, aik kaam karo tum tayar hokar palace hotel ayo, hum acha sa dinner wahan karte hain.

Brinda: Mahindra lekin...

Mahindra: Brinda.. please.. please.. please.

Brinda: Ohhh ok. I'll be there as soon.

Mahindra: Love you.

Brinda: Love you too.

Brinda she doesn't know what is happening, 'certainly an odd day!'

20:10 - Palace Hotel

Upon entering the hotel Mahindra encounters with Kartik who enquires about Brinda. Mahindra lets him know Brinda will be there soon. 15 minutes later Brinda arrives at Palace Hotel and looks around for Mahindra, a waiter tells her where Mahindra is. Brinda enters a grand hall and is dumbstruck to see hall decorated. She sees a banner across the wall which says 'Happy 2^nd Wedding Anniversary - Brinda & Mahindra'. There is a huge heart shape cake. Before she could react Mahindra holds her from behind and kisses her cheek.

Mahindra: Happy 2^nd wedding anniversary sweetheart.

Brinda is overwhelmed and surprised at the same time. Brinda turn her face towards him and holds his face in her hands.

Brinda: Mujhe laga ke tum...

Mahindra: Jis din mujhe duniya ki ssabse badi khushi mili ho main woh kaise bhol sakta hon?

Brinda: Happy 2^nd Anniversary Mr. Ranade.

Brinda give a quick kiss on his cheek.

Mahindra: Oye Hoye.

Brinda gets shy.

Mahindra: abhi toh sirf shuruwat hai.

Brinda doesn't know what he means Mahindra signals her to look at the other side. Brinda looks at the other side where another surprise is waiting for her. Everyone pops out from one side and yells 'Happy Anniversary'. Tears appear in Brinda's eyes; she is over the moon tonight. Brinda's parents come and wish them, followed by Usmaan sir and then Kartik & Vidhya. Brinda is really happy to see her family, friends tonight on this special day.

The party is full on rocking Mahindra & Brinda enjoy a lot.

It's still unbelievable for both of them that it's been 2 years already, 2 years! It just seems yesterday when they both got married, their romance, their love, their marriage everything still seems new to them. But they know one thing for sure these 2 years have been the best years of their yet.

23:15 - Palace Hotel

The party finally ends and everyone starts to leave. Later on only 4 people are left: Mahindra, Brinda, Kartik & Vidhya. MahiDa decides to go to Kartik's house for a while because they haven't met Chintu is ages and he was missing from party as well.

23:50 - Kartik's House

Chintu is delighted to see Mahindra & Brinda he apologise to them for not coming to party because he was busy with his college project. He seems so grown up to Mahindra maybe because Mahindra didn't meet him on regular basis from past year or so.

Everyone sit down on floor cushions and just chit chat for a while. Brinda lay her head against Mahindra's right shoulder and holds his arm, Mahindra looks at her lovingly. Chintu starts to get bored with their chit chat so decide to change the topic completely.

Chintu: Uff ho.. ab badein logon ke paas kaam ke ilawa aur koi baat nahi hoti karne ko?

Everyone laughs.

Vidhya: Chintu!

Brinda: Arre Vidhya, sahi toh keh raha hai. Hum log bhi na.. Acha chintu tum batao.. kis bare mein baat karein?

Chintu: App dono ke bare mein.

Mahindra and Brinda look at each other and then at Chintu in surprise.

Mahindra: matlab?

Chintu: Matlab app dono ki kahani.

Brinda: humari kahani?

Chintu: Haan.. ke app dono kaise mile, kaise pyaar howa.. in short app dono ki kahani.

Vdhiya: Yeh kya bol rahe ho Chintu? Tum toh enki shaadi mein thay na aur..

Chintu: Mama.. main us waqt main chota tha, shaadi toh dekhi par yeh nahi pata key eh sab howa kaise. Kyunki papa bataya karte thay ke app dono toh aik dosre ko stand nahi kar sakte thay.

MahiDa shoot deadly glares at Kartik who feels like dead duck.

Mahindra: Ohhh.. aur kya kya bataya papa ne.. mere pyaare Chintuuu??!

Brinda and Vidhya giggles when Mahindra says this and Kartik tries to get up.

Mahindra: Papa ji.. app kahan chal diye.. ab baitheye na.. kahani nahi sunni?

Chintu gets excited.

Chintu: Toh kya app sunaoge kahani?

Mahindra: Aik shart par.. agar appki Brinda didi bhi mera saath dein toh.

Mahindra looks at Brinda with puppy eyes because he knows she can't resist them. Brinda feels awe and gives in.

Brinda: Aww.. chalo theek hai. Ajj hum dono milkar apni kahani sunate hain.

And the story begins.

Mahindra takes deep breath before he starts.

Mahindra: Humari kahani na toh bohut filmi hai, na hi bohut romantic hai. Bas simple si, choti si kahani hai. Do team partners se life partners tak ki kahani.

He takes a pause here and looks at Brinda who smiles at him, Mahindra smiles back.

Mahindra: Haan yeh sach hai pehle pehle hum dono aik dosre se bohut chidhte thay, aik dosro ko bardasht karna mushkil hota tha. Yahan tak ke Brinda ne toh mujhe 'Male Chauvinist' bhi keh diya tha.

Chintu hearing this gets shock, Mahindra laughs looking at his reaction and Brinda playfully hit him on his shoulder. Now Brinda continues.

Brinda: Beshak kaha tha, par us waqt mein usay janti nahi thi. Par... jab janna tab realise howa main kitni galat thi.

Chintu: Par yeh sab howa kaise?

Brinda: Bas.. hum dono ko na chahte howe bhi aik dosre ke saath kaam karna padha. Aik bohut bada case tha jispar hum dono saath as team kaam kar rahe thay, tab ahista ahista aik dosre par bharosa hone laga. Phir...

Mahindra decides to continue from here.

Mahindra: Phir hum dono mein dosti hogayi, hum dono kafi ache dost ban gaye. Aik dosre ki fikar karne lage. Aik dosre ka sahare banney, aik dosre ke saath khadey hoye musibaat mein. Mujhe pata hi nahi chala kab mujhe Brinda ki adat si hogayi. Aur shayad esi addat se pyaar hogaya.

Brinda feels so flattered when she hears this, she secretly give a soft kiss on her arm, which she's holding on to. When he feels her soft lips touch, he looks at her in surprise and gives her a loving smile. But this action doesn't go unnoticed by Kartik who gives a look to them and Mahindra shoots back with 'What?' look. Brinda takes it from here.

Brinda: Mujhe bhi Mahindra ke saath ki addat hogayi, jis din woh nahi hota tha, jis din usay dekhti nahi toh bohut bechain hojati thi kaam mein man nahi lagta tha. Tab mujhe ehsaas howa ke... I am in love.

Chintu: Toh phir app dono ne aik dosre ko propose kaise kiya?

Mahindra & Brinda look at each and laugh, Chintu gets confused.

Brinda: Propose? Well.. bataye hazoor.

Brinda laughs and an embarrassed Mahindra smiles weakly and looks at Chintu.

Mahindra: Propose toh.. Brinda ne mujhe kiya tha.

Chintu: KYA?!

All four of them laugh at his reaction.

Brinda: Haan.. agar main nahi kehti toh yeh sahib toh shayad humesha chup hi rehte.

Chintu: toh apne propose kaise kiya?

Brinda: Maine kuch filmi nahi kiya, bas Mahindra ko apne dil ki baat bata di. Janti thi ke risk le rahi hon, meri dosti dau par hai par dil ke haathon majboor thi. Bas asaan lafzon mein keh diya ke mujhe tumse mohabbat hogayi hai. Us pal jis tarah Mahindra ne dekha tab mera sara darr khatam hogaya. Uski ankhon mein jo khushi dikhi, jo muskurahat uske honthon par ayi.. uske baad toh kuch kehne ki zarorat nahi padhi.

Chintu: Toh phir kya howa?

Brinda: Phir.. phir.. bas kuch time baad hum dono ki shaadi hogayi.

Mahindra: Aur jis din se yeh meri life mein ayi, meri toh zindagi hi badal gayi. Shaadi ke saal baad mera promotion hogaya.

Brinda: Aur shaadi ke baad maine kuch time ke liye NCB se break le liya aur women rights ke world campaign mein part le liya.

Chintu: WOW.. this is so great, app dono toh made for each other hain.

MahiDa look at each other and smile.

MahiDa: Thankyou Chintu.

Kartik: Ajj itne dino baad tum dono ki kahani sun kar bohut acha laga, aisa laga woh saare lamhe humne phir jee liye.

Mahindra: Haan, ajj mujhe bhi aisa hi lag raha hai jaise phirse woh lamhe jiye.

Mahindra turns to Brinda.

Mahindra: Janta hon ke main humesha nahi kehta lekin ajj kehna chahta hon ke.

Brinda looks at him with questioning eyes, she gets anxious to know what he has to say.

Mahindra: Thankyou for being in my life. Tum meri zindagi mein nahi hoti toh main humesha adhura rehta. Main bohut pyaar karta hon tumse, behadh zayada.. Mere bas mein jitna hai utni puri koshish karonga tumhari har khushi, har khawab ko pura karna ka. Bas mujhse kabhi dorr mat jana. I love you Brinda, very much.

Brinda is in tears, she doesn't know what to say. She simply hugs him tightly and let tears fall on his shirt. Mahindra hugs her back and crease her hairs, moments later Brinda speaks.

Brinda: I love you Mahindra, a lot. You are my Soulmate! Main tumse kabhi dorr nahi jaongi, aur tumse badhkar es duniya mein koi khushi nahi hai. Tum meri zindagi ki sabse khubsoraat sachai ho, aur es sachai ke samne har khawab chota lagta hai.

Mahindra sweetly kisses her hairs, making Brinda smile through her tears. Vidhya, Kartik & Chintu look at each in such awe; they secretly pray in their hearts that no evil cast their love.
