I will never leave television: Siddharth Shukla
Tanvi Trivedi,TNN | Jan 22, 2014, 01.17 PM ISTAfter the popular Shiv aka Siddharth Shukla was signed by Karan Johar for a three-film contract, buzz is that the actor might quit the TV show Balika Vadhu.
As the current track features Shiv and Anandi adopting a boy and in the future too, like other shows if 'Balika Vadhu' goes in for a leap, then Siddharth will have to act older than his age.
We contacted, Siddharth if he has thought of this and he admitted that TV shows can get unpredictable.

He says, "I am just happy that I am getting a chance to act in films when I don't belong to film industry. The whole business of telly shows rests on TRPs and leaps are introduced to better TRPs, but I can't say now if I will leave television for films. As of now I will work out a way to do both. If there is a leap then that is something I will think when such track is introduced in the show. Karan Johar is a highly understanding individual and has given me freedom to work in both mediums. I do agree that at times Shiv is the righteous husband and did not have many shades to play earlier, but there will be interesting tracks around him in the future. And even if I cross the bridge and move to films, I will continue to say 'hello' to the other side - I will never leave television, not for now."\
