A few minutes' shocked silence after the crash was followed by a complete chaos..

People started talking to each other,and gasping out their views..

The only two people oblivious to all these were the ones who were lying on the floor,and looked at each other with all the worry in their eyes..

As Prithvi looked at Meera's soft face,Meera reassured him by shaking her head..Silently telling him that no harm had been caused to her..

All of a sudden the worried parents,came running and pulled their daughter from the arms of the man,who would soon be taking her away from them for good..

"Miu!You are alright aren't you?!"Her mother called out in a worried voice,as she and her father,pulled her to safety..

Meera stared back at the lone,tall,handsome man now standing alone,amidst all the chaos..A shining beacon in her suddenly dark life..Her eyes did not move away for a second from his face,until he was completely out of her view..Still she craned her neck trying to see him..

As her mother worriedly checked her out,and her father made angry calls to people for checking out the cause of accident,Meera's eyes only searched for the only man she wanted to see..The man she would soon be bound to for life..The man she suddenly felt so much for..

As the minutes ticked by,Meera finally impatient with her parents fussing over her,while she had not even asked him,if he was alright,pulled herself out from her mother's hold..

"MIU?!"Both the parents called out in vain,as Meera ran down the stairs..

Her eyes looking for the tall dark and lonely man..

She stopped on her tracks..He was not there..

Only shattered pieces of glass lay on the floor,and a crowd of people moved around the hallroom,all discussing the recent accident..But he was nowhere to be seen..

Something squeezed her heart tight..

He left without talking to me..A voice rose from within her heart.

Prithvi stood at the dark corner of the hall,his eyes looking at the ethereal beauty..

She had come running..She had come looking for him..

Something in his heart celebrated,but he squelched the voice shut..First he had to take care of things..Someone wanted to harm her..

He stood straight,with determination burning in his dark eyes..

He had to find out who it was..He could let nothing harm her,as long as he was alive..With that thought he strode out of Thakur Haweli..

The mehedi and sangeet ceremony passed without any significant happening..

Meera barely had seen Prithvi,except a few glimpses of him..

She thoughtfully,opened her glass bangles,sitting infront of the dressing table..

Tomorrow it was her wedding..She would be his,in all sense of the world..A slight blush covered her cheeks,as that thought crossed her mind..

She quickly,started removing her ornaments,when her eyes fell on her mehedi..A deep dark colored mehedi always meant that your husband would love you a lot..And her color was the darkest possible..She blushed slightly again..

Somehow,someway,she was getting pulled closer to her to be husband..

Somewhere deep down in her heart,she had started caring for the man,who even a few days ago,had been a complete stranger to her..

Slowly she opened one earing and placed it on the dressing table..Earings that Prithvi had sent with the matching green and copper lehenga..

She had dressed carefully for the first time in her life..Carefully tying her hair,and putting on the makeup..But he had not looked at her at all..

It had hurt her to know,he barely could impress him..And she felt so helpless to realize he would be marrying her because he was obligated too..She felt like a burden forced onto him..

As she opened her second earing,her eyes looked at the mirror as she felt something move behind her..

Her heart nearly jumped out,and her soft pull lips parted in a silent gasp..

Her eyes widened as she stared at the solemn handsome face of Prithvi looking at her through the mirror,with a strange light in his eyes..

She blinked not able to believe her eyes..

Am I dreaming?!!
