Why is Sushant Singh Rajput cast in Paani?

It's supposed to be a big budget film of around 150 crores. So why would YRF cast newcomer Sushant Singh Rajput as the main lead? He's only been in the industry for one year and doesn't deserve the film. How can they expect him to draw as much as a superstar like an Aamir Khan or a Salman Khan? It seemed more reasonable when Hrithik was cast. Are YRF on drugs?

Because the lead is supposed to be a young boy & it would be disastrous to cast an SRK or Salman as 20 year olds😆 This when Shekhar Kapoor feels that HR himself is old for it😆 Oh and its made for an international market, so even a super star cant secure profitable returns at this point😆Unless he intends to cast Leo and JLaw or something😆 Its good if a director casts actors based on the requirements of the role instead of their star power..That said, lets see if and when it gets made..You can never trust Shekhar Kapoor😆

Adi chopra is not a fool he is d most smart producer but ssr star power is nowhere to make movie a huge bb if it flops still adi have 3 khans to give him blockbusters

If a movie is good , it will definitely be a blockbuster

Amongst the younger generation, no one really has that sort of overseas star power anyway that can secure them a profitable run at the HW BO office. They probably are attempting it like a Life Of Pi thingy, lead actor was not known but production values and content was great. At least, that is what I understood about the project.

Shekhar Kapur must have good reasons to cast Sushant in that role, one just needs to go through his blog and tweets to realise that this project is his swan song- he wouldn't ruin it by casting someone inappropriate. He has casted newcomers in his projects before also. Plus Adi Chopra is no fool to invest so much of money and take someone for the role who doesn't deserve the part.

Because it is his job to replace everyone 😎
He will probably replace Kristen as the heroine too
