If you've followed Saba's recent interviews..she has stated that she doesn't like doing the typical stuff the comes to actresses. She wants to experiment and do stuff that's different. And, if you take a look at the stuff that she's doing..it's different than what other mainstream actresses are doing. In all honesty..which other actress can carry a Sannata? or a Ullu Baraye? or now a Bunty, I love you? Not many in fact hardly any...the best part about it is that she gets appreciated for her work regardless.

If you've noticed all of her work over the years..it was never conventional. I don't even think Saba has ever done a conventional, simple love story..she does stuff unconventionally..because that's how she likes it...and that's exactly what she's known for. To do all of that and still be a top actress in Pakistan is very praiseworthy. Most people stick to the conventional stories that work..she can easily do a fairytale love story and get accolades for that..but she doesn't work that way and if you look at her resume, then she never has.

but the ones she's doing now didnt get much popular compared to her previous shows...and u never know if they'll be successful or not, just like Numm didnt work out for Fawad.

I was just explaining why Saba chooses the work she chooses. Even her previous shows which were more popular weren't conventional. Saman from her most recognized performance yet is that of an antagonist. I'd love for her to do something simple maybe just a simple love story but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Yeah of course there's always a chance the stuff she chooses to do won't work ..but Saba and Fawad are two completely different performers. Saba gets more acceptance for her versatility than Fawad. Plus, Numm didn't just fail for the content..Fawad was scrutinized for his performance too. Then of course Kanza etc.
