This was very impromptu. Wrote it in less than five minutes.

A dream I'd rather not see,
A nightmare I'd rather not live
Where is my beacon of hope?
Where is my path of faith?

Life as I knew it,
Has ceased to exit
I look around me,
I see my world has coming crashing down.

The ashes of my dream lay scattered around me
Pulling me back, dragging me down
Telling me, maybe its my turn,
For me to run.

But I wont give up
For I will again Learn to live,
Learn to smile
Learn to walk
And Learn to fly.

I think what's fantastic about Paro, based on whatever we've seen of her in the past 3wks, something that you have so, wonderfully captured in your poem is her unbreakable spirit, the ability to pick herself up, even after life throws one curve ball after another at her-its evident in the way she embraced life after the 1st tragedy struck her life! All the hurt that she's been put through has left its impact, she has not been spared, but what remains constant seems to be her will to live & live as happily as she can under those circumstances! The things in her life have, no doubt affected her, but she hasn't let them dictate how she goes about living her life! Your poem has, brilliantly captured that! Its like a phoenix rising out of its ashes each time to start anew, & I'm saying that because that's what came to my mind as I read your poem & typed out this response! Nice poem, NB(if I may call you that), its a poem that's done justice to the essence of what Paro seems to be!
