Salman Khan unlucky for debutante heroines?

So far no one is saying it aloud. But the response to Salman Khan's new leading lady Daisy Shah in the trailers of Jai Ho has been pretty mixed. Would she click? Barring Sonakshi Sinha most of Salman's debut-making heroines have been far from success. Katrina Kaif was not introduced to screen by Salman Khan but Kaizad Gustad in Boom followed by Ram Gopal Varma in Sarkar.

Here's looking at Salman's roster of failed debutante heroines

Bhagyashree: They both made their spectacular debut as a lead pair in Sooraj Barjatya's Maine Pyar Kiya. Salman zoomed ahead. Bhagyashree ka bhagya kahin bhaag gaya. She struggled through some films and vanished.Strangely no one thought of casting the pair together again.

Nagma: She was launched opposite Salman in Baaghi.She struggled for a bit in Bollywood then migrated to Bhojpuri cinema where she was a huge hit. But her debut with Salman did her no good in Hindi films.

Chandni: She did Sanam Bewafaa,a blockbuster Muslim Social with Salman. Picture toh nikal padi. Chandni got left behind.

Ayesha Jhulka : She made her first major screen appearance in Hindi with Salman in Kurbaan.Her career never went beyond an average success.

Revathi: She was a big hit in the South. Her career in Hindi films started with the Salman starrer Love and ended soon after.RIP

Sheeba: Seen for the first time opposite Salman in Suryavanshi. Soon married filmmaker Akash Deep and retired.

Divya Dutta: Extraordinarily talented Divya's career as a leading lady began ended in Veergati opposite Salman.

Bhoomika Chawla: Dream debut with Salman in Tere Naam. The film,its music and Salman's hairstyle were a craze. Bhoomika, sadly, was left in a daze. She made a successful career in the South.But no show in Hindi.

Sneha Ullal: Salman and the film Lucky proved unlucky for this Aishwarya Rai lookalike. Had a briefly successful stint in the South. But her career in Bollywood was strictly a no-no despite Salman's patronage.

Zarine Khan: In Veer Salman paired himself with this weighty version of Katrina Kaif.Zarine struggled for survival for a while even did an item song with Salman in Ready. Now she's moved to Punjabi films.
