Dear friends

Today's episode was by far, one of the best episodes of JA, in terms of acting and the killer dialogues. Hats off to the screenplay writer. Everything made sense, eventhough, we all know that this track has not originated from history as far as I know.

Everything fell in place, everybody was right in their own ways, dont' you think so. Lets recap:

1. Jalal - he feels bad for his only (half) brother - a handsome young man who was ditched at the altar by a love struck teen girl. His ego is hurt, albiet naturally, coz his status as the Shahenshah had been taken so easily, his own FIL - a Mansabdaar of his kingdom had failed.

2. Bharmal - his fault was, he never saw this coming. Coz, all he had seen was Jodha marrying successfully after Suryabhan was killed inspite of her showing love for him. Even Sukanya accepted another proposal forwarded by Jalal when her fiancee was found to be a criminal. He acted as a true father and not as a King.

3. Jodha - she feels vexed and ashamed of her clan - rajvanshi pride was broken for her today. The important point to be noted was she has accepted Agra has "her family". The guilt she shows when facing Mirza Hakim and her show of anger to her dad was remarkable.

4. Mirza Hakim - Just loved his stance when he stood his ground by lecturing his elder bro Jalal on "Mohabbath". He was absolutely brilliant when he pleaded with Jalal to release Bharmal and wanted shivani - his first love to be left alone to lead a happy life. A true lover boy in my opinion. Felt too bad for him coz.. it was Shivani's loss not his.

5. Hamida Begum - An elder stateswoman who wants to forgive and forget what has happened due to childish and stupid acts of kids. After all, she knows what happened when Jalal acted violent when his child was aborted due to poison and the pregnancy drama he did with Jodha.

6. Maham, Ruqqaiyya - the bullies - its quiet natural for them to react that way... the glee they showed when theRajvanshis bit the dust... was commendable. They are playing politics within the Harem and winning it hands down. Kya karen..? other than to fault the fate.

All in all an excellent episode, i loved and saw it on loop quiet a few times.

i agree with u totally. I did not really expect Hakim to forgive Bharmal and that bharmal knew about shivani's love. THE BEST PART was when Jodha said, Hamare pati ko thesh nahi pahouch thi, hamare devar ka apmaan nahi hota etc. She said as Mugha begum , she would never forgive bapusa. I was teary eyed when she said all these bec finally she accepted mughals as her fmaikya nd she even said that. I just wished Jalal had heard all these. that would have been cherry on the cake. It was kind of sad to c that ameri princess who was being proud of one, was admitting that how ashamed is she oe something like that.

Am not sure if this track was necessary at all in the first place... A princess eloping in 16th century causing shame and embarrassment to not just her folks but the entire Mughal kingdom.
But considering we are slapped with this, its nice to see you highlight the positives emerging from the track and today's episode.

Well... to be more positive, I would say, we do have legends abound about Anarkali - a concubine of Akbar 😲 eyeing his son Salim who wanted to marry her and make her his "Mallika" . So, a princess running away with a commoner is nothing in comparison 😆 shall be my opinion.

I have heard that story but i think that was an imaginatory story
actually anarkali tomb is of jehangir's wife sahib jamal as per historians(a commoner whom akbar opposed salim's marriage and took many years to approve marriage since she was his milk brother's neice) - his son parvez wife because akbar and his family were not in lahore at the time that lady in grave(as per dates on grave) died. Jehangir loved her very much and again went through lots of opposition by akbar to marry her(just like anarkali story). Hebce all this confusion.
I think anarkali was an imaginatory story no evidence exists of her ever living or salim ever loving her.
