Agree with you. She is a woman and she should accept it. Does being Madam imply that she is looked down upon or distinguished. I really don't get it. These titles are both based on gender and both are addressed with respect.
Just so you know she puts makeup so she can't be that strict about this!

Agreed . Its not necessary at all , infact it looks like a deliberate , anxious attempt to constantly make a point . A female ought to be simply cool and do her job , no need to mask that feminity which is a god given gift and be unlike ur real identity . Who says females cannot be tough as they naturally r .

I agree...it is not being equal if a woman trainer is being addressed 'sir'
To show equality they should address her m'm and say she is a woman and she is the best...

It seems that Mrs Singh who has been preaching here about gender equality herself seems to be not following it.Why would one who calls all are equal address everyone to call her 'Sir' instead of "madam" if for her all are equal. For he is calling her "Sir" takes more precedence than calling her Madam ?
Mrs Singh ideas about gender equality is correct but her approach does the exact opposite of what she is saying.Calling her "Sir" gives a wrong notion as though "Sir" is the highest respect one can get and calling someone "Madam" does not.I hope in coming epis CV's either through Mrs Singh or through Sandy's voice clear/clarify about this wrong notion.
Gender equality does not come with all this, they need to show Gender equality by showing how woman are given equal opportunity and respect in all aspects and tag-names like "Sir" and "Madam" all mean one the same i.e respect for someone who is your superior.so it should not matter and Mrs Singh stress on calling her "Sir" looks weird and making less sense.
At Corporate culture/MNC's where many of us work today ,we call our colleagues/seniors/Managers by their names be it male/female and this is the practice that is followed i.e you dont distinguish anyone but at the same time respect their gender be it male or female and call by their names instead of tag-names.
It would look better if cadets are asked to call her Mam/Madam or Mrs Singh.
Respect is earned and cannot be forced.Hope CV's somewhere down the line clarify this scenario.
