10 unknown interesting facts about Drashti Dhami

Princess, Doll, Geet, Madhu and many more are the name of TV's most popular female face- Drashti Dhami. Having risen to fame with shows like Dill Mill Gayye, Geet and currentlyMadhubala, her huge popularity helped her win Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa.

1. Drashti Dhami comes from a conservative Gujarati family and is the only girl in the family. She completed her schooling at St Immaculate Girl's High School in Borivali after which she opted for a degree in Sociology from Mithibai College, Mumbai.

2. Before starting as an actor, Drashti was a popular model and has done a number of advertisements.

3. She started her career in the music video Saiyaan Dil Mein Aana Re, followed by Humko Aaj Kal Hai, Teri Meri Nazar Ki Dori and a Punjabi music video Nachle Soniyo Tu.

4. Drashti won Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa all thanks to her dancing skills which she polished. She had earlier worked as a dance instructor before entering the TV industry.

5. Drashti hates eating malai and olives and relishes mushrooms. She also loves chocolates and carries at least one bar of it in her bag all the time.

6. She does not have too many friends in the TV industry, and the ones close to her are Sanaya Irani, Karan Singh Grover and (surprise) Kanika Maheshwari.

7. Her favourite style icon is Anushka Sharma and she admires Ranbir Kapoor as an actor and loved him in Rockstar.

8. She likes dressing up casually off-screen, but is very fussy about her bags. She likes to keep it stylish always.

9. Drashti has been crowned the 3rd sexiest Asian Women after Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra and she beat Deepika Padukone in the list.

10. She loves travelling a lot and makes sure to go out on vacations with her friends often. She also likes visiting her mausi (aunt's) place a lot.

But the surprise for me was that she likes chocolate, because I remember an off screen segment with Vivian (one of the rare ones together 😆) and they were asking their similarities and Drashti said she hates sweets but Vivian has got a sweet tooth and he said I have a sweet jaw not only a tooth. Also when Viv gives her cake she always takes a tiny bite, and I thought it was because of that reason she hates sweets but now I can just put it down to her taking a ladylike bite. 😳😆
