Geet stired in her bed...she couldn't go to sleep. This night seemed to scary for her, she felt like as if something is going to happen to her. As if a storm is coming to take something precious from her. A fear gripped her heart, although she didn't try to show it on her face but it was fear of something evil coming her way. Her father had always told her she has a sixth sense when it comes to her intiuation, usually her gut feeling is never wrong. Ever since she was little, she always sensed when something was going to come and till this day she doesn't know whether she should label this so called sixth sense as a gift or a curse.
For the past week, ever since her daugther had been kidnapped she has been feeling like this. She knew he would not give up easily but still she couldn't understand anything as to what he wants from her. There was absolutely nothing she can personally give him other then whatever my father left for him and his family out of guilt. She was the messenger but in her heart she did wish he would come back so she could fulfil the last thing he told her to do after that she will move on with her life. If only her father had given her more information about who that person then she would've gotten rid of this problem long ago.
Sighing she closes her eyes again trying to sleep when she heard a noise come from inside her house. Quietly, she got out of her bed walking toward the kitchen and living room area to see the reason why. She goes to the kitchen when she sees some broken glass from her back door on the floor. Someone was inside her house. Her back door had eight wooden squares and was covered by glass from outside. Someone had broken the square glass right next to the door handle. Walking backwards, she goes to the kitchen counter where her knives were kept. She was about to grab them when she felt someone standing behind her.
"Not a smart move, sweetheart. Wouldn't want to put your daughter life in danger now would you?.
Geet nods her head no. She hears some shuffling noises from the guy, she knew he was taking something out...soon enough her eyes were covered with a black cloth. She tried moving her hands toward her eyes when something cold touches her face. She slowly puts her hand on top of it to feel what it was..a gun. Fear gripped her for her daughter, if she was alone then she wouldn't have been scared but she had a daughter a life that depended on her. She felt his hand touch her back, pushing her. Slowly, she started walking as he guided her toward her daughter's room. She knew this house well enough now.
Tick tock, tick tock, that is all she heard as she stood inside her daughters room blindfolded. She did hear some shuffling noises and whimpers of her baby but she could't do anything at all.
"Take off the blindfold"
She never heard such a deep voice before from a guy. Slowly, she took of her blindfold, she had imagined her eyes to be welcomed by a bright light, instead the room was dark except for the area in the corner where she saw the guy wearing a ski mask sit on her rocking chair holding her daughter. She looks at her dog who usually sleeps in Ami's room, in a corner. She bends down toward her dog and sighs in relief when she felt her heart beat. In anger, she takes a step forward to grab her daughter when he held out his gun at her daughter's head.
"Like I said, any move and your daughter is gone"
"You are not a real man by putting a dog to sleep and holding a gun toward an infint. Might as well put some bangles on then I might understand why you are holding a baby at a gun point"
"Shut up!" (he yells, her daughter wakes up from her sleep and starts to cry. Geet wanted to take her daughter and calm her down but any step she takes will be dangerous for the both of them.)
"Why don't you come to a point and tell me what you want? Are you him?" (He looks at her confused)
"What do you mean by him?"
"The so called kid that my father ruined? Are you him? He told me you will come..."
"Ohh so your father knew i would be coming for me."
"Anyway, I will be right back...he gave me something to give to you."
"I said don't move..."
"Listen, you have my daughter and am not gonna make any move that would put her life in danger. Give me two minutes"
"hmm"
Maan looks down at the little girl in his arms who had stopped crying. She had rested her head on his chest as she sucked on her thumb while closing her eyes. He felt weird holding her, granted her daughter was beautiful and had the same curly hair as her mother, Geet but this is the first time he was holding a baby who is so comfortable around him. She slowly opens her eyes looking at him with wide eyes, he had expected her to cry but instead she smiled trying to reach up her hands to touch his face. Maan moves his face back away from her reach. Seeing this her eyes starts to form tears again. Geet comes running inside the room carying some files, she throws the file on his face before grabbing her daughter. She cuddles her daughter to herself calming here down and gently placing her back inside her crib.
Maan gets up in anger seeing her throw files on his face. ON HIM! No girl or anyone for that matter done this dead to him. He marches toward her grabbing her hair yanking her head back forcefully. Geet looks at him not with pain but with a smile making him more angry.
"What mad that you don't have to hide behind an infint anymore and fight a grown up?" She smirks. Maan smiles.
"You know you have guts..." (he places his arm around her waist pulling her closer toward his body. Geet felt her whole back heating up..she was so close to a guy after a long time...she almost forgot what's it like to be touched like this...) "How far will this bravery take you? Will you be willing to do whatever I say to save your daughter?"
She feels his finger gently lift her top up just a little to feel her skin. She shivers feeling his warm touch on her stomach. Maan lets go of her hair while enjoying the touch..he felt weird and he felt right as if his touch was suppose to belong to her...his hand moved upwards slowly getting close to her chest when she stops him and pushes him away.
"Just take the files and leave. That might be more then enough for you and the damage my father had done."
Maan holds Geet by her waist in anger and walks with her toward the pile of papers that lay on the floor. He bends her down telling her to pick everything up. She does so and hands them to Maan. Maan tells her sit on the rocking chair while he walks toward her daughter again. He points his gun to her head as he looks at the papers. After 10 minutes he throws the paper in the garbage.
"You really think this crap will make me forget? You thought that this will make it alright?"
"If you don't like what you see then take it up with my father who is dead. In fact, I will do the honours of killing you. He must be in hell where you and he belong"
She gets up walking toward him who still had a gun pointed to her daughters head but for some weird reason she knew he wouldn't kill her. He wouldn't hurt her daugther. She stands in front of him, placing her hand on top of his that was pointing toward her daughter and slowly while making eye contact she raises the gun toward herself. Maan who was lost in her eyes didn't notice what was happening he was just lost in her eyes.
"Now, I made it easier for you. Kill me" (Maan comes out of his thoughts and looks at her with anger..he pushes her hard until she falls on the floor...she didnt' scream nor looked scared just sat there on the floor looking at him with anger. There was something about her and this anger of her will be her own destruction. He bends in front of her with an evil smile...)
"Killing you is so easy what is the fun in that? Nah...I will have fun with you.."
"Listen, whatever my father had done its between you and him...I have nothing to do with your past nor his past. So why don't you come out of this revenge and just move on"
"Move on? Your father took away my childhood, took away my happiness and made me what I am today..and you want me to move on? Childern often have to pay the sins for their parents deed and that is what you exactly will have to pay. No property or money left for me will make it right. The papers you gave me they are all garbage. They are of no use to me." (He gets up) "I will be back Ms. Handa and when I do just be prepared."
