Hey guys, I have seen many topics that ask about the past story in Dulhan or what's happening. So I thought of writing the basic story of Dulhan – characters, storyline, etc. So enjoy. (will update soon...and when the story continues)

- Storyline -
Dulhan is basically about an illiterate girl, Vidya, who gets married into this rich famous family, Pratap Singh Family. Vidya used to live w/ her mom, Khushaliya, and her (mean) Chachi, Hema, and her daughter, Shalu along w/ Shalu's dad. Both mother and daughter treated Vidya very badly (almost like their house servant). Chachi and her husband didn't send vidya to school…thus she is illiterate. The family lived in Beneras. There Vidya had a friend named Radha (who later disappeared from the story). Also in Beneras there was a guy (kinda gunda like) name Harsh – who had a obsessive sort of crush towards Vidya. One day the Singh Family came to beneras looking for a nice sanskari dulhan. They came over to Vidya's chachi's house to see Shalu (who is an immature type of silly girl). Khushaliya (vidya's mom) wanted to get vidya married to sagar's family but then Chachi said she wont let that happen..etc…kinda emotionally blackmailed her out of it…Then well the Singh family saw Vidya somewhere around beneras and then liked her very much. Vidya saw sagar many times before they got married but never really talked to him. The day of the marriage…after a few rituals it started raining. Sagar got up from the stage and ran outside in the rain and started to act in a pagaal sort of manner. The family told Vidya that Sagar was mentally ill after a serious accident 6 months ago. Vidya consented after a long time. …(night after the wedding Bade Thakur Died) She was scared for the first few days..how will she live the rest of her life w/ a pagaal…etc..and Sagar also didn't like Vidya..But Vidya won his heart and they both fell in love with eachother…Vidya had hope of Sagar getting better so did the whole family. Sindura – She hated Vidya from the start probably because Bade thakur – before he died…gave all the property and money to vidya and sagar. So she started taking revenge…she sent Vidya out of the house once even…but Chinu and Bharat brought her back. Then after a few days Vidya and Sagar(still in his mental condition) started to get close to her…she interfered and emotionally blackmailed vidya about the fact that if Vidya got pregnant w/ sagar's baby…the child will be like mentally crazy…(one disadvantage of being illiterate…but I bet even an illiterate girl should know that this wasn't true). A while later Sagar's ex-girlfriend appeared w/ a boy named sameer claiming that he was sagar and her child. The family did a DNA test – and as always the report got changed…and the family believed that sameer was the child and heir of the singh family and accepted him..while he wasn't..etc…Surili and Sindura paired up against Vidya…They made Vidya look bad…and Surili won the hearts of the family. Sameer was mute – so he couldn't say anything against everything and torture that was done to him to show that vidya was bad. During all this Sagar's college friend came to the rescue to help Vidya…the truth was brought out (thanks to Vidya, Chinu, Bharat, Sameer, and most of all Tushar). Surili got kicked out..she tried exposing Sindura but no one believed her…and then Sagar and Vidya adopted sameer I gues…Tushar held a plan to make sameer speak which worked..so now sameer can speak…at the moment Sagar wants to get older (there have also been many hints about his recovery) and a blackmailer is blackmailing Sindura about something she did (a secret) on April 16th – might have probably something to do w/ sagar and his accident….

the raaz was revealed that sindura had people perform sagar's accident and aniket, her husband was blackmailing her...so all that passed...aniket was mad at sindura but somehow she won him over convincing him that she was a nice person again...so there were many episodes that had sindura saving sagar...etc.. then well im forgetting if anything really imp. happened after that except for the entry of lallan who comes as harsh's bro. okay so he comes and is supposed to charm mahua and stuff like that...but instead he actually ends up falling for her and helping her get back karthik...while on the other hand harsh is trying to keep them apart so karthic wont get any property...monney...etc...then sagar starts feeling that he isnt a capable husband to vidya...he cant save her...protect her - keep her happy...etc.. from people he meets...chachi...and a few other people...so then he starts acting really wierd...he gets mad at anything vidya says...kinda really violent and crazy type wierd...so the family admitts him to the hospital thinking he actually went crazy and his condition worsened...when actually he was doing all this to protect vidya and so that she could get remarried and live a happy life with a normal husband...this idea was given to him by none other than...the now seeming SINDURA DIIDDII!!! she still hasnt gotten nicer...and probably never will!!! so yea...she told the doc to give sagar wrong medicines...etc and so he kinda got worse when shivani came to the rescue...meanwhile vidya was reallly depressed...and as sindura's act to get vidya out of the house...she suggested vidya wont live happy with a pagaal hubby and should get married to tushar!! so vidya agrees after a long time but isnt consent...so in the hospital shivani finds out sum1 from the family is trying to worsen sagar and gets sagar out of the hospital and to vidya....when vidya and tushar are getting married (saat pheres...) vidya stops...sees him and faints...and a bottle of poison falls out of her hand....she attempted suicide...so sagar picks her up and the family takes her to the hospital...she gets better...shivani tells the family that sagar was acting crazy while he wasnt but she didnt tell them she knew about the wrong medicines....she onlly told about that to vidya...so vidya is conserned about who did this...she once suspected each family member...but never was sure.....so then shivani tells vidya about a doc in singapore who can makke sagar all better and normal...(btw meanwhile chachi and shalu were taught -hopefully taught- a lesson by chinu...when he took them out of the house for a while and into a bad tin sorta house...) anyways so now vidya and sagar went to singapore SECRETLY alone - only bharat knew! so people in the family are suspecting vidya about what shes doing and stuff which is very unreasonable cuz the family members should know that after all this vidya really does care about sagar...anyways now vidya and sagar are back from singapore..and the episode on monday will determine if sagar really has gotten cured or not!!!!

okay so sagar has recovered...YAY! but he has forgotten his loving, sacrificing wife vidya!!! vidya was framed for drugs by sindura at the airport while sindura was secretly taking sagar home in INDIA....at the airport vvidya sees sagar and tells the security that she is his wife...but sagar denies it saying he hasnt been married ever...so vidya is crushed...vidya goes to jail while sindura and sagar go home...everyone in sagar's family are shocked and happy that he has recovered...they told him that he was mentally ill for the past 2 years and his father had passed away during that time....but they did not tell him that he was married....sagar adjusts and sees a few new family members...like chachi and shalu but they are introduced as relatives to Chinu- his wife and mother-in-law...In singapore DJ - a guy helps vidya escape from jail and vidya comes home to India with his help..when she comes to sagar's home...sagar asks who and what is this crazy lady who was claiming to be my wife at the airport doing here...sindura tells him she was his attendant...sagar is relieved and ya...vidya is just crushed...but she is starting to realize that sindura might be behind sagars condition in the first place and her being framed for drugs...

Oky, Nabihah is writing story (thankoo! 😳 ) so i'll give you a brief update of what has happened.
VIdya finds out that Sagar is mentally challenged on the day of their shaadi but promises to Sagar's father that she will always stay with Sagar. Sagar's pitaji passes away and then for sometime, Sindoora (one of Sagar's elder sisters, the most important one out of the three) taunts VIdya and tries to get her out of the house because she doesn't like her for different reasons... one, being illiterate, and the other, something having to do with money because Sagar's father gave the property to Vidya (i think?). So this goes on for sometime and then other things happen in between, one small thing is that Shalu (Chachi's daughter) and Chinu Bhaiyya were married for sometime because Shalu pretended to be pregnant. But that's long gone now. A character named Surily came into the serial ( 😡 !), she was Sagar's love before he got into the accident. SHe wanted to get Sagar back and tried her best, even bringing a child named Sameer into the house and claiming him as her's and Sagar's child. HOwever, she was finally exposed (3 weeks back!) by a man named Tusshar, who was Sagar's college friend (Sagar doesn't remember him.).
We dunno how Sagar's accident happened. But we know that sindoora has something to do with it. OH! And also, there's someone who has been following SIndoora and sending threats to her. hoping he will be revealed soon enough also. *edited* the man has been revealed and it is none other than the husband of....sindura - ANIKET!!!!!
Now, we are waiting, waiting, and waiting for Sagar's recovery to happen.... which is going to happen soon, hopefully..!! 😳 😳

Its kind of a long story- this girl surily(i think thats her name) once use to date sagar b4 he became mad and broke up with him after he turned mad, but then later on she came back claiming that sameer was her n sagars child, so that she can claim a part in sagars property, but then her truth was revealed n every1 found out that sameer wasnt her or sagars child, so she ran away leaving sameer and thats when vidya decided to keep sameer n look after him as his mum.
