Rangrasiya was launched on Colors TV on December 30, 2013 at 9:30 PM. The channel had previously launched many promos of the show [7] The show is produced by Saurabh Tiwari & Abhinav Shukla of Nautanki Films' and directed by by ace director Siddharth Sengupta. [8]

Rangrasiya follows a young village girl Parvati (Sanaya Irani) and a Bharatiya Suraksha Dal (BSD) officer Rudra (Ashish Sharma) in an edgy love story ignited by intense hatred and fuelled by circumstances that brings Paro and Rudra together. The show has been shot extensively across arid terrains and rann of Jaisalmer and dunes of Jodhpur. [9] Set in Birpur, it's a small village that witnesses a grand wedding celebration between borders once every year. One such wedding is that of Paro that is gatecrashed by the BSD, led by Rudra to investigate the illegal smuggling of arms. This incident shatters Paro's life leading to an unexpected turn of events. The show portrays Rudra and Paro's strong, passionate and agressive love story.Rangrasiya is said loosely based on the famous English drama "Othello" composed by William Shakespeare.

Parvati (Paro): Portrayed by Sanaya Irani, Paro has been brought up in a village wherein every second house has a story to mourn, and a single agenda in mind - hate the BSD. Paro lost her parents in an operation conducted by security forces but somewhere even after a tragic past, she looks up to life and has a dream that one day there will be someone to love her. [12] Contrary to Rudra, for Paro, love is hope, beauty is extreme and duty is vengeance.

Rudra: Portrayed by Ashish Sharma, Rudra is a Bharatiya Suraksha Dal officer for whom his duty is his religion. He carries an emotional baggage from past when his mother abandoned him and his father at the age of 12. His faith on relationship and women in general got shaken at a very young age which resulted into a man with no emotions or even love for himself. His mother abandoned his father and got married to someone else because she was a beautiful lady and his father was a not so good looking man. [14] For Rudra, love is need-based, beauty is deceit, and work is duty.

[/I]The word "Appreciate" it self means to have a highly favorable opinion of someone or something. You are supposed to appraise the value of the work of the actors and express them in positive light. A thread where all the fans of theActor/Character/Couple gather to discuss what they liked.

In an essence Constructive criticism/Positive Outlook towards Actors/Characters/Jodi must prevail in these threads.

Members must understand discussions are restricted in ATs. ATs are safe zones for the Actor/Jodi fans to exchange information without being subject to negativity. You have the main forum to present opinions negatively and debate...So Discussion of actors/ characters/ performances and story tracks that do not directly relate to the show or whom the AT is dedicated to should be kept to a minimum, in particular when they imply stating negative opinions. However we are allowing harmless Chit-chat in ATs but the chit-chat should be only limited to ATs only

Bashing of other Jodi/Actors/Characters in ATs is NOT permitted at all..If members of an AT are caught discussing other actors/couples negatively, then AT will be held liable for it and may be subject to warnings & eventual closure/Ban as follows ...[/I]
