JA-JO
No sooner, than Jodha walks in Jalal is reminded of the fact that he had to summon Benazir.
'Just to postpone the matter, you've called upon Benazir, have you not?' she asks Jalal unhappily
Jalal is amused 'Ya Khuda! How does she read my mind?' (Ermmm at this stage you haven't really been doing anything that requires a lot of grey-cell work JalalšŸ˜†!)
Straightening his smile, he explains 'That's not the case, I really do have to speak something with her'

Unaware of why the Emperor was actually calling for the Kaneez, Jodha retorts with a smirk 'Oh yes, I Know...about what happened last night...to speak about all that transpired, isn't it?'
Jalal is a bit confused 'How does SHE know that I haven't even touched that lady?' he dismisses Jodha's statement 'I don't owe anyone explanations about how I spend my day or night to anyone...you've come here to express your concern...I don't have to hear the same thing over and over again...'
'Well' she interrupts him 'You would like to hear something about your brother, right?'
'Mirza Hakim?'

Jodha then goes on to explain about the 'rishtaa ki baat' her face glowing with happiness as she does so.

Jalal is amazed about the developments 'Wow...' he taunts her 'In spite of hating me so much, you don't have any issues fixing your sister's alliance with someone from my family?' (something many were asking aboutšŸ˜•)
'Well, he's different from the rest of the lot' Jodha answers back gently 'He's fun, he's radiant, he's intelligent...'

Jalal squirms in his couch as he hears his wife praising another (again a mini-scene I think many wanted to witness😳). Trying not to let it show, he smiles haughtily 'As though I don't have all these qualities in me..'
'He knows how to respect WOMEN!' she reiterates - staring back at him 'He knows how to understand their emotions...not like another person I know of - storming off into another's room whenever he pleases'
Smiling after a long pause, he asks with confidence 'Don't you notice another man in this family possessing the same qualities?'
Jodha can't help but let escape a subtle grin - so, now he knew how it felt when the shoe was on the other foot? 'No...' she replies 'Not at all'

Just as she's about to walk past his couch, she's suddenly stopped in her tracks - her hand had been grabbed by Jalal's firm grip.

She turns around to look at him - surprised by this gesture. He wasn't too happy either - a hint of possessiveness flashing in his eyes 'I haven't yet given you permission to leave Jodha Begum' he tells her
While she's trying to free her fingers from his grasp, he keeps roping them back in - refusing to give up 'Remember this Jodha Begum... all Mughal Emperors possess these qualities that you talk of...their method of expressing it might be different...but, we know how to fulfil all our relationships too...'
Finally freeing her fingers from his hand - with force - Jodha rebukes him 'You don't need to, you see...you're the Shenenshah...and with one beck and call, hundreds of women are ready to serve your whims and fancies...'
Just as she'd said so, Benazir arrives at the scene
Jodha's point's been proved 'See, didn't I say so...now I'm certain you'll have no issues giving me permission to leave'

Jalal then lets her go with a part-mischievous smile - he'd seen all that he'd wanted to see so far!

BENAZIR
Ben's everyday mantra that 'Oh so, Jalal has called me here to rile Jodha Begum up again' is really needed no more!
When Abul Maali speaks about her injecting the poison into the Shehenshah, I felt a literal 'yuck' reaction!🤢

ABUL MAALI
Though the man himself has no personality, at least his presence in Agra gives us some hope of the story moving ahead. Them acting like love birds in the middle of the bazaar was a bit errr!

AGRA PALACE - AMERI WELCOME
Ameri tune (as I mentioned yesterdayšŸ˜›) is always welcome music to my ears - but, it was rushed through quite swiftly!
In fact, the lighter scenes were quite quick (usual JA style) - within a jiffy Shivani's wedding had been fixed and Jodha rushed ahead to inform her sister about it too.

A lot of us were worried about Jalal's smirk during the courtroom scenes - wondering if he was going to announce his wedding with Benazir to humiliate Jodha in front of her family etc (Yes CVs, you have rattled us to this extentšŸ˜†!)
Thankfully, it was nothing beyond a continuation of their secret 'nok-jhoks' earlier - since the discussions about the Mughal-Rajvanshi weddings was pretty much what the couple had spoken about previously too.

SHIVANI-JO
Shivani's initial answer to Jodha's 'Mirza Hakim's wedding was more or less the typical sort of misunderstanding we see in Bollywood - one sister is talking about one wedding and the other mistakes it to be about someone else. I wonder if in reality, such things happen so commonly!

TEJVEER - SHIVANI
I found this man to be quite handsome - his get up mars his personality.
So, we get to see another lover secretly entering the palace to meet with his lady - hold her hand et al- I don't know if others liked this scene or not, but I found it different and good enough. Yes, it would have been near-impossible, but not entirely impossible. Anyway, many of us are here because we believe in fairy tales, don't we? Definitely made for better viewing than any scene with a 'B' in it.

JA-JO
Finally, today we got to see Jalal (RT) stand up and walk. (A hurrah moment for mostšŸ‘!)
All right, yesterday I was supporting Jodha when she'd spoken to her parents before speaking to Shivani. However, today when Jalal brought up the issue that it was better to speak to Shivani and find out if they had her approval in the issue - especially since it was customary in Islam - then it made little sense for Jodha to shush it up with a 'No need!'
(Why do the heroines always taken things upon their heads and land themselves and their repute in trouble? A few sensible conversations here and there would avoid all of this!)

Another point that Jalal made today, moved me 'I hope that this wedding is not considered by Shivani as a compromise'

Jalal continues to be unconvinced by the suddenly brought up Mughal-Rajvanshi angle (because of the renewed troubles it might bring along???) and whether Shivani is really glad to proceed with it. (Now I understand why we had a week of bhabhijaan bhabhijaan scenes - it was so this entire thing could be orchestrated by Jodha to lead to a massive MU later onšŸ˜•!)

'She SHOULD be happy' Jodha reiterates
When Jalal informs that the wedding will follow Mughal customs, I think it was more or less to see her reaction to it. Jodha had no issues about a 'Mughal wedding' at all - in fact she was all FOR it.

'Then why was our wedding according to Rajvanshi customs?' Jalal questions her - now glaring into her eyes. One could see mild resentment as he said so 'I don't want her to go through the same thing we went through'
'Because my wedding had been fixed with a person that I hated' (Sigh return of ghrina🄱!)
'I hadn't compelled you to get married to me...' he spoke sternly, though unable to hide the hurt 'I also accepted all the conditions you'd laid...it was your Bapusa who'd come to me, seeking this alliance!'
'I also know why Bapusa did so...because he'd been cornered into it...anyway, the circumstances are different now- and the groom is also much better than y..' and she stops

The last sentence was not needed at this point - looks like this Tom and Jerry are never going to give up! Nevertheless, I'm glad they brought one more issue from the past - and an important one i.e. their wedding...though no real proper talk was achieved!

SHIVANI
Shivani is really really young if she needs to speak aloud while writing!
Hmmm, so we have one more letter...letters have spelt the doom of the positive characters in this serial from day one!
MA is going to blow this issue out of proportion

PRECAP
Adorable at its best! The third party (Hakim and the audiencešŸ˜†) have gotta love it when two lovers are busy using them to target each other with light-hearted ego squabbles!

My take -
A good episode - especially compared to yesterday's😃
The story feels like its picking up since we have the arrival of Abul Maali, Tej and Ameris at one go
Too many tracks simultaneously might spoil an otherwise delicious broth in the form of JA. Let's see how it all goes!

Lashy, my problem is the story telling - its being cliched - why only MA to catch the letter frm Shivani - why not Ruqu or even Rahim who runs with it to TE's room and reads it aloud and TE overhears.

There are so many other interesting ways to bring in the twist!!!! - I am OK with this triangle story too but not the way it is being told / presented!!! Its the same old MA saga when this could have been done in a more interesting way!!!

Btw there was the convo of Benny baby and Mali - of mali making her malika - seems to me CVs are paving the way for Benny to give up her life for TE!!!!

I thought just the same. His brains look whitewashed, clean and clear. Anybody can read him. Gone are the days when he used to say 'Yahan kya chal raha hai, nobody can decipher''
Just as she's about to walk past his couch, she's suddenly stopped in her tracks - her hand had been grabbed by Jalal's firm grip.
(Aaawww moment😳)

If Jodha Begum, the biggest and brightest tubelight of Agra understood this, there wouldn't be any MUs of late

Jalal then lets her go with a part-mischievous smile - he'd seen all that he'd wanted to see so far!

Ben-Mallika???? Is Abul Maali immune to snake venom?

What are the palace guards doing? Are they too frozen like their Shahenshah's brain cells? Teju enters, peeps in, holds hands...

What a relief!!!!!! One prayer answered!Clap

Time for her Rajvanshi pride and pompousness to have a fall. Inspite of repeated hints by Jalal she kept harping about her Rajvanshi parampara, and was more intent on snubbing Jalal comparing him with his very good brother. When will she ever learn!! I was deceived by her touching plea to Kanhaa yesterday and thought that she was changing.😭 Mere hopes ko aaj Jodha Begum ne dhakka de diya.

Another point that Jalal made today, moved me 'I hope that this wedding is not considered by Shivani as a compromise'

Poor chap wanted to spare a grina torture for his bhaijaan toošŸ˜‰

'Because my wedding had been fixed with a person that I hated' (Sigh return of ghrina🄱!)
😭. But thank God it was in past tense... Grina karthe the. So grina has not been pulled out of its grave...yet...
'I hadn't compelled you to get married to me...' he spoke sternly, though unable to hide the hurt 'I also accepted all the conditions you'd laid...it was your Bapusa who'd come to me, seeking this alliance!'
I wanted to clap. He made his point clearly.
'I also know why Bapusa did so...because he'd been cornered into it...anyway, the circumstances are different now- and the groom is also much better than y..' and she stops
I wanted to punch her. She will never learn to look beneath the surface.😔😔😔

MA was so elated. It was her field day today. She was angry of the entry of another Rajvanshi princess into the Mughal household and she unexpectedly got the chance to bring down the first
