I was amused by how easy it is for the CVs to please you girls. The same old tired repartees shown for the nth time, and you are all in the fifth heaven at least, provided you have Jodha and Jalal in the same frame. Not that I have anything against you kids enjoying yourselves, but what was there today that made for so much elation, I fail to understand.
Aunty, he held Jodha's fingers ...how could we brush it off? We beggars are unable to be choosers any more...alas...fallen in love with the leads and unable to take leave......haan haan daanto jitnaa daantnaa hai daant lo...

The latter Jalal-Jodha conversation was downright harsh on her part, not that this is anything new. The same old ghisi piti 'you are responsible for all I and my family went thru' complaints, of the kind she threw at him at the pit stop on the way to Ajmer after discussing the sleeping arrangements with that strange daasi.
Nothing changes as far as Jodha is concerned, and she comes back to the same position after a while, like a pendulum. And no, she does not stop: she says very cleary aap se achche hain before she departs.
I'd give her a bit more benefit of doubt than that aunty...especially after yesterday's episode...yes, she was needlessly arrogant in the last scene...but she's come some way from the Sukanya-shaadi waali Jodha hopefully...I hope she doesn't go back to becoming that or the story is just going in circles...

The only new thing now is that her jibes at Jalal are laced with all the gushing about Mirza Hakim's supposed virtues. And this is a young man of whom she knows nothing except that he touched her feet, that he calls her bhabhijaan in every sentence, and that he butters her up to the top of her bent.
True..her praising of Hakim was OTT...but then, something tells me...half of it was purely to tit-for-tat Jalal's praise for benazir...and given a choice I'd bat for the Hakim team any day!😆

It is another matter that when he drags her away to stop her from stepping on the (dead) snake, she immediately suspects him of inappropriate behaviour. The woman thinks the whole male population of Agra is after her virtue. I found that instinctive reaction of hers both typical and very off putting..
No aunty..I'd have been very disappointed if she didn't take him to task...feeling 'ok' with other men grabbing her (even if momentary), but jumping at the thought of her very own husband touching her would have made me quite unhappy...I'm glad that in this behaviour her stance is the same with men in general...

No wonder Ekta diddles you all the time, my dears. This 'sweet episode' was 60% the pudding faced Shivani and her kaarigar boyfriend. Did I really hear you describing him as handsome Lashy?
He was okayish handsome aunty...esp when compared to Abul Maali who's the other latest entry...

I was surprised that not one of you has spotted or commented on the single most ridiculous point tonight. Not only does the whole Amer clan descend on Agra, having presumably ditched the traditional beti ke ghar ka paani bhi nahin peete rule, but all of them, down to the otherwise very wise Daadisa, repeat Hamein is vivaah se koyi aapatti nahin hai. Aapatti nahin hai, when they would have been hard put to it to find a Rajvanshi groom for Shivani, just as they could not find one for Sukanya but a bandit prince?
Aunty, not that any of the points you raised in this para and thereafter hadn't crossed my mind... however, when the serial is at its lowest with nothing bar criticism everywhere (from myself included) I thought of highlighting the few positives from the past two episodes - maybe just a brief spell of rose-tinted positivity from my end...

Also, as you said aunty - the more logical historicals that do keep in mind these protocols and ethics - don't seem to be faring as well.. I don't know why - maybe its because it makes the royalties seem more human and less rigid...anyway, I hope the tracks pick up somewhat

I am just waiting for Shivani to run away with her proletarian lover, who is an aimakh to match her, for he actually expects that she would be able to get her parents' consent to their marriage. Why, if she had so much as hinted at it, she would have been locked up and her lover boy thrashed to within an inch of his life.
That is going to be fun to watch!😆

Mahaam will very likely facilitate the elopement, for it will serve both her purposes: to prevent the marriage and to humiliate Jodha and her whole family. I hope nothing happens to stymie it, for it will be a treat to watch Jodha's face when Shivani goes missing, and the edifice of the Rajvanshi sanskaars she is always boasting about comes crashing down on her head.
Jodha should have spoken to her sister...I know not what came over her when she decided she NEED NOT speak to her sister about it...😕

That will make my day, but I dare say I will be cheated of it. The CVs will hardly allow theirhunar ki mallika aur gunon ki khaan to be thus humiliated. So I expect Jalal will get wind of the whole and, with his usual do gooding, will stop both the elopement and the wedding to Mirza and unite Shivani and the kaarigar whom Lashy likes so much.😉 Nice, modern democratic stuff: emperor approves of princess sister in law marrying a kaarigar. Would never happen in real life, then or even now, but who cares?
Aunty...some people have nicknamed the khaarigar as kanghiman...and if you remember Sukanya's pati's - this guy is definitely better looking in comparison😆
