Shocking developments on Indian Idol

The Nation decides and Indian Idol abides. This is what it is all about, high tension with outstanding performances. As we get closer to our goal, decisions are going to be tougher to take and outcomes will be harder to accept. But the show must go on.

Rahul Saxena has always been a favourite - with contestants as well as the judges. When the last 3 contestants were left - Abhijeet Sawant, Ravinder Ravi and Rahul Saxena - the judges were asked what they felt and Farah Khan mentions that if it's Rahul Saxena who is voted out, she would definitely cry.

Finally, the unthinkable does happen - Rahul Saxena gets voted out and the contestants and judges are shaken up - Aditi Paul cries uncontrollably and so does Amit Sana. Rahul Vaidya is also shaken up.

When Rahul sings his goodbye song in tears, everyone gives him a standing ovation.
