The chubby Varun Badola reveals his vain side, and initiates a two-fold plan to lose all those extra kilos
If that paunch of yours has not been getting any better, take inspiration from Varun Badola. The actor has moved onto a two-fold health plan after his excess weight began to affect his health. In a major rehaul agenda, the actor has begun to participate in various kinds of sports and has even decided to go in for a crash diet.
The actor faced a tough time for the last one year, with fewer shows coming his way. As a result, the weight issue got even more acute. Finally his wife had to intervene and set him straight. When questioned on this, the actor says, "I was always on the chubbier side. But lesser work only instigated a health crisis. I gained quite a few kilos last year, something that adversely affected my health. My wife Rajeshwari has been insisting on a fitness regime and I realised that it was indeed time to reclaim my life."
Despite this warning signal, Varun has his specific health mantras. He does not want to enrol into a gym as he is not comfortable with the hardcore methods there. The actor prefers sports. "I always loved playing sports. And now, it is one of my primary ways of losing weight. Cricket has always been there. Now, I am playing a lot of badminton to shed the extra kilos. I am also eyeing squash as it makes you feel young and totally charged up, apart from being the hardest game," he adds.
The actor is currently out of town and plans to sit with his trainer and decide his diet regime. "My trainer is also a dietician and I am going to discuss my eating patterns. I have been advised to take protein and to stay away from oily stuff. I am not into junk food." he laughs. That should be s big relief for his wife.
