The team that brought AASHIQUI 2 is back! Producers Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, who had produced AASHIQUI 2, are the same two who are producing this Friday's release, YAARIYAN.
With the film being promoted as such (the team of AASHIQUI 2 being back), expectations are bound to be huge. YAARIYAN has already met one department of the expectations, which is the music side. Songs like "Sunny Sunny" and "Baarish" have become very popular.
The theatrical trailer of the film has also been well-liked.
All things considered, the buzz for YAARIYAN is huge, and as far as the month of January goes, the buzz is right close to the buzz of Salman Khan's JAI HO!
The one obstacle that YAARIYAN may face however is the story of the film. The trailer gives confusing signals. At first it seems like a youthful college flick, then it drifts into a patriotic side speaking about the flag and giving up your life for the country, then we see lead actor Himanshi Kolhli singing/performing on stage, and then raising the flag again đ There may be a problem of too many different things being packed into the film. The film might have a mixed word of mouth. Also, the film has just two weeks to collect at the box office until Salman Khan's JAI HO releases.
Having said that, I still think that the film will do well due to the huge buzz, youthful feel of the film, and the popular songs of the film.
The opening of the film will be good for a film starring new faces.

Opening Day: 7 crores net
Opening Weekend: 25+ crores net
Lifetime Collections: 45+ crores net
Overall Box Office Verdict: Hit
