"Call her..! Uska number toh hoga hi tere paas..haina..?" ..his brother asked . Maan shook his head indicating a NO.
"are u serious..? Wo teri BEST FRIEND hai..aur tere paas uska phone no. tak nahi hai..!!!"..his brother looked at him in disbelief.
Maan shurgged his shoulders.. "kabhi zarurat hi nahi padi.."
"I was right..tu sach me bahut bada duffer hai..!" ..his brother said shaking his head at this hopeless case.
"Thanks for the Compliment..! But ab meri tarif karna bannd karo..aur tell me what should i do now..? I cant wait for that long.." maan said making a puppy face.
There were still whole six days left for their diwali vacations to get over and for school to reopne. However, maan wasnt able to wait for that long..he was desprate to talk to her. So here he was asking his brother to help him to find some way to get in touch with her.

"usski friends hogi na..unse maang le.." ..his brother suggested.
Maan rejected the idea straightly.."nahh..i dont want them to gossip about it.."
"Uske ghar jaa ke mil le..best option hai.." ..his brother smiled winking naughtily.
"Han..aur jaa ke uske ghar walon ki maar khaun..haina.."..maan was annoyed at the stupid suggetion. Hearing him, his brother burst out laughing, irritating maan even more.
" pehle hi wo gussa hai..aur fir i dont even know.. how her family thinks about all these things.." ..he sounded really concerened.
"fir toh bas ek hi option hai.." ..his brother sighed heavily.
"Kya..?"..maan asked feeling hopefull.
"Tu na..roz subh-sham uske ghar ke chakkar lagaya kar...shayad wo mil jaaye.." ..his brother said in a teasing tone.
"uska bhi koi fayda nahi.."..maan mumered to himself...without realising that his brother could hear him.
"What..what did u say..?" ..his brother eyed him curiously.
Maan realised what he has said and cursed himself. "kuch bhi toh nahi.."..he avoided looking at him, feeling concious...but his brother caught his lie instantly..
"Dont tell me..tu sach me uske ghar ke chakkar lagata hai..??" ..his brother gave him a shocked & surprised look.

Dekho meri neendein udaana naa..
Dheere-dheere sapno me aana naa...

Though maan wanted to deny at first..but then he changed his mind and confessed that how he was so restless to see her and had went to her house but that didnt worked.
"OMG..u are really madly in love with her..arent u..?" ..his brother was amazed.
"LOVE..??" ..maan asked surprised.
"yes..LOVE..!! U r in love my-dear-litle-idiot-brother.." ..his brother punched him on his arm playfully.
An amused smile came to maan's lips as he thought about this word called "LOVE" ..then shurgging his shoulders he replied honestly.."I dont know..! I mean..i really dont know what love is..! I just know onething...that i really like her alot..truly. I like talking to her..i like being with her..and i want to be with her always.. Aur..agar issi ko pyaar kehte hai toh.. yes, may be, i am in LOVE WITH HER.. " ..he smiled geniuanly as he uttered those words.
His brother too smiled hearing his honest confession and ruffled maan's hair affactionatly..and gave him a hug.
Both were silent for a moment..
Then suddenly his brother ran out of the room, saying that he will be back in a minute.. And indeed he was back soon with a heavy book in his hands. On taking a closer look, maan recognaised to be a "Telephone Directory".
Just for a single second, maan was confused.. but then grinned widely as the realisation srtucked him. "U r just awesome bhai.."..maan hugged his brother.
"Ya..i know that already...!"..his brother replied with attitude.
"seems u have lots of experience in these matters..hmm.." ..maan teased.
"Shut up..number chahiye ya nahi..?" ..his brother smirked as that warning made maan to shut up instantly.
And thats how he had got her landline number.

Though he got the number quite easily..but then actually dialing it & to wait for someone to pick it up, was the most difficult task ever!
He had been extreamly nervouss..he kept dialing it & then cutting it before even it could be connected.
All the time his brother was watching him with amused smile..at last he spoke taking the reciver from his hand.. "de..main hi baat kar leta hoon.."
maan instantly snatched it back..and pushed him out of the room. Closing the door, he locked it!
And finally, after thinking much, gethering up all his courage..he dailed her number..and waited for her to pick it up...!

He smiled as he remebered that how worried he was about her reaction to his unexpected phone call. But..like always..she has surprised him once again. Instead of being angery on him..She behaved very normally. She didnt mentioned any past happenings..and talked to him very nicely.
He had hurted her so much..still she wasnt angery at him.. That surely has suprised him. Does that really mean that she likes him too..?? Thats why she isnt angery at him even after his wrong behaviour..! Was his brother right in his thinking that she too feels for him..??" He just can hope that his brother is right..that she also has feelings for him..!
