Jaayengi kahan...
Inke aage peeche,
Na zameen, na aasmaan.
(These are abandoned roads,
Where will they lead you...
For there is no horizon or land with them.)
In raahon ke musafir,
Ban jaate hain kafir...
In raahon ke musafir,
Hain bas kafan kii khatir!
(The travelers to these roads are bound to go directionless,
are bound to end in grave.)
No one can predict how deep the still water runs. No one can predict what void fills the quite exterior. Likewise no one can know who Rudra is! He's been shown in glimpse and parts so far. His real turmoil still remains hidden, but one truth has come out in the open that he is one bad news!! He comes with an emotional anchor that he has not let go in all these years. He still is on a loop. Whom we saw today was not a normal man but a man caught in a perverted state. He is so consuming that even if doesn't want to he will end up destroying everything in his vicinity. The incoherent thoughts of his mated with his fathers blind prejudice has land him into such a pit that Paro will have to kill herself to revive him of this death slumber. He is used to looking at the darkness that he refuse light. Remember when you look at the abyss, the abyss too looks at you. When you slain the unjust you too inherit a part of it with its blood on your hands. Rudra however he might appear superficially is all broken within. The day his broken pieces will burst out it might as well tarnish Paro's lung making breathing a strenuous task for her!! His attitude speaks of pain over healing. He tore his wound with stashing pain instead of caressing it with gentle touch. This just shows how rough he is and how ruggedly will he handle all those who come in his life. I suggest Paro that you develop some strong immunity against these for before you step into your heaven you'll have to deal with his hell.
On the other hand we have Paro, who now is on the very precipice of a new beginning that'll only after it metamorphoses from end. Her nightmares are now taking a living form. The faceless abyss lord has now merged with the stranger she met in the wilderness. He color now drains for she knows that her savior is but the coiling dragon of her nightmares. She is visibly shaken more so because now she realises that at the other turn of the road awaits her destiny that'll either tear her apart or will give her reason to breathe. She is standing in a ring of fire but the poor isn't aware of it yet!! Her beguile form is about to writhe in pain and there is nothing or no one who can try and help her. The fires of the dreams are now threatening to burn her awaken world!!
Jiss chirag ko apney dum sey jalayaa hai
Ussi chirag ney mera aashiyaan jalayaa hai
Bachati thi jissko hawa key aik jhonkey sey bhi
Ussi ney aaj mujhey, tufaan mein phansaaya hai
(The flame of love which I kept alive with my breath
That flame has burnt my world to cinders
He whom I shielded even from the gentle breeze
Has today left me in the midst of a raging storm)
Their meeting too spoke of yet another dimension that they belong to. Rudra held her close but then the very next momenta abandoned her. He rescued her and then threw her apart from him as if she meant nothing to him. He is genuinely not interested in her until he comes to know she's getting married. For fleeting seconds he feels hurt and accusingly looks at her. He looks as though he asking her that how could she?? But the very next second he pulls his cover and looks visibly disinterested. Parvati too looks on as if she guilty and then is lost to adhere her own thoughts. Booth look on and catch each others hazy forms, amazingly, all the while at peace with themselves!! The Shiva Tales too speaks of the same. Lord Shiva was hurt at knowing that Sati was being readied for a nuptial with someone else, but being the ascetic He was, He moved away! Brilliant parallelism!!
Another scene that caught my attention was the blood mark that seemed to have adorned Paro's sleeves! When Sati had been rescued from Vritrasur, Lord Shiva had enquiringly held her. He held her dainty arms and left His Tripund mark on her arms! It served as a reminder for Sati that her encounter and future were both real. The same situation was enacted by our PaRud. It was quite interesting to see that Paro too had Rudra's mark(well blood) on her arms. Rudra branded her just like the Lord had branded His Sati!! Beautiful it was! By Jove's!! It was!!
Another interesting aspect was that when Rudra remembered his minor showdown with Papa Ranawat, his father clearly stated that he(Rudra) did not come as a blessing from Lord Bramha! Interesting again as in mythology there is a tale that Maharudra/ Shiva's energy, when were being soothed by Parvati, took a form of a boy that was held and christened by Lord Bramha! The minute scenes too are given a backing of solid reasoning and t shows just how much energy and though is being invested into the making!! Also Rudra's one plight is that he is a part of someone's betrayal that again traverses the mythology path. The boy that was born, was named Jallandhar and he considered, for a long time, himself to be betrayed by Shiva!
Tejawar again let his inner demons surface. He very well knows that the girls in front of him were saved by BSD forces yet he lashes out reasoning that as fire provides warmth only before burning, so does BSD save before ruining. There is a certain static and stagnant fury and prejudice that seems to guide Tejawar's action. His words and action looks like as though are traveling the same path while they remain diametrically opposite. He is a gentleman as far his conduct and decorum is concerned but then he hides his diabolical mind underneath that cloak. And that is more dangerous. He coldly snubs that at least Paro isn't dead indicating that even if she had been it wouldn't matter to him. He'd be sad only because he'd lose a pawn in the game and nothing more. He's turning more and more vile day by day. And this only aggravates the war that future possibly holds!
The certain tender moments that were given were very heart warming, like the maamisa and Paro's conversation or Rudra's bashful smile while staring at nothing in particular or Bindi's fangirling of BSD were needed to balance the heavy!
And boy I so love this lean, mean, sexy, arrogance machine known as Rudra. The way he put off his subordiantes for letting Kesari Ram escape was scene worth wathing. 'Yes, you and your men may rest. Aaj bohot kaam kiya na, do ladkiyon ko pakdne mein takat lagayi, Kesari Ram ko bhagne diya, thak gaye hoge na...aaraam karo' Taana maaro toh Rudra jaise! I so love Aashish!
P.S, Sanaya I love you for your deft portrayal of a disturbed girl, but please improve your accent. Its not matra sola...its maatarr solaa!!
P.P.S. I second MoronsKiMallika's notion. Saurabh uncle needs to hire Life OK's VFX team. They are counted among the bets and they will recreate a real looking butterfly!!
P.P.P.S. What genetic experiment was the butterfly Rukmini part of that she outlives the family of 2-3 week life span species???
