Awesome post 👏, loved how u described the blood scene and compared it with Sati and Shiv,

In this show everyone has complexities everyone is living in the past be it Tejawat or Rudra and Paro has finally put a face onto that BDS officer,
Waiting for next week when the marriage will take place and the real journey will begin, I hope we get some flashback scenes of Tejawat he seems a big mystery even his wife doesn't seem to know about his arms dealing 😕. Lovely analysis 😳

The complexities is what adds to the drama! I mean every character has something to offer and you can't even differentiate the into good or bad for every character has a little of both! And yes I agree Tejawar swims in the ocean of mystery.

Loved the scene where Paro sees the blood n thinks of her saviour n the next moment Rudra is wiping his blood! Can hardly wait for Monday...for the episode as well as your post 😳

Thank you!! Well this query I can't answer...maybe the series has made me one!! That particular scene has to be the highlight of the entire episode!! Me too, can't wait for Monday!!

Beautiful post.
Loved the parallels to mythology .
Rudra is like a dormant volcano
👏👏 'Yes, you and your men may rest. Aaj bohot kaam kiya na, do ladkiyon ko pakdne mein takat lagayi, Kesari Ram ko bhagne diya, thak gaye hoge na...aaraam karo'

Wonderful take👏 Rudra is very scary as of now...Don't know what all Paro has to endure...Lot of heart wrenching moments are waiting on way it seems..Sanaya will nail it. As far as accent goes, I don't know the dialect well, so i'm completely clueless and even i find it difficult to understand some words in first watch. All the posts in the forum helps to understand better. I'm sure she'll pick up in full swing once she's completely in. She works hard to live her character on screen. But her voice modulation as a delicate Paro was apt for me.

Sati was already married in mythology. Right?? Did you find any characters apart from Paro- Rudra, resembling or written based on Shiva mythology?? I enjoy reading your posts and the way you connect them. Looking forward to read more in the coming days too:)

Thanks Lakshmi!!! Well indeed as of now Rudra spells nothing but doom. His gesture regarding his own hurt was that let it aggravate more; with such a twisted head what solace will he provide Paro??
Well Sanaya is a fantastic actress there is no doubt on that. No one could have played Paro the way she does. Her voice modulation is fantastic, its only the accent that troubles me at times. But being the fine performer that she is, I'm sure she'll pick up. I don't have words to describe Aashish's acting. It screams power and is fab!!

No Sati was never married to anyone besides Shiva, but yes Daksh her father had tried marrying her to someone else only to have that nuptial gate crashed by Mahadev himself!!!

Another parallelism. Please keep writing. I was waiting for your post yesterday, cos I wondered if any of the scenes had any mythological significance. And they did. Imprints of Rudra on Paro's arm - wow. And the slight jealousy when he realizes she's marrying another. BTW, I loved the scene where she looks at his blood on her hand, and they cut to him looking at his hand covered in blood. I love this serial. The director , the DOP, the CVs- they're remarkable. Cast to hai hi amazing.
P.S. what does that maatar soola wala phrase mean?

Thank you! Well I am sorry as I am one helluva lazy!😆 Indeed the DOP, director and the entire star cast with Aashish and Sanaya as leads are rocking!!

Well maatar solaa is a phrase in the local dialect that translates as Praise the Lord or Thank the Lord!

Another fabulous post .. I really look forward to them especially for the parallels you draw with Shiva Parvati mythology ... of which I know almost nothing!

I noticed almost all the things you mentioned in your post ... and was really happy to see how they related to the Shiva Parvati story

Thank you! Its actually the story that is progressing at such a fantastic state that you have to love and notice it all!

Rudra however he might appear superficially is all broken within. The day his broken pieces will burst out it might as well tarnish Paro's lung making breathing a strenuous task for her!! His attitude speaks of pain over healing. He tore his wound with stashing pain instead of caressing it with gentle touch. This just shows how rough he is and how ruggedly will he handle all those who come in his life.

He truly is broken from within ... and will handle everyone in his life roughly as well. Parvati was the one who accepted Lord Shiva as her husband first ... sorrowing for Sati, Lord Shiva made Parvati go through many years of penance before he accepted her as his wife ... Paro will go through many a trial of fire before she wins his heart and his trust. But somehow I doubt he will ever allow her to be in pain or in any trouble ... the way he ran back from chasing the intruders, to come back to save her, shows that willingly or unwillingly, Rudra will put Paro and her safety above everything else.

Spot on! Even though he'll be the one to raise storms, he'd also be the one to tame them. Today Paro was just a stranger and he risked it all. Tomorrow when she becomes his life, Lord knows to what extend he'll go!

she knows that her savior is but the coiling dragon of her nightmares. She is visibly shaken more so because now she realises that at the other turn of the road awaits her destiny that'll either tear her apart or will give her reason to breathe.

The return of Paro's nightmare, and its juxtaposition in her dreams with the new trauma is the day ... the old nightmare taking a new form, where dream and reality mix ... Paro awakes confused and terrified ... is he saviour, protector ... or destroyer? Or both?

Beautifully put!

He is genuinely not interested in her until he comes to know she's getting married. For fleeting seconds he feels hurt and accusingly looks at her. He looks as though he asking her that how could she?? But the very next second he pulls his cover and looks visibly disinterested. Parvati too looks on as if she guilty and then is lost to adhere her own thoughts. Booth look on and catch each others hazy forms, amazingly, all the while at peace with themselves!! The Shiva Tales too speaks of the same.Lord Shiva was hurt at knowing that Sati was being readied for a nuptial with someone else, but being the ascetic He was, He moved away! Brilliant parallelism!!

Thank you for this one!!! I read this the same way ... Rudra's hurt when he hears about her wedding, he looks at her as though accusing her of unfaithfulness ... and she too feels guilty for a moment ... and then is lost in her troubled thoughts, why should she feel guilty?! Am delighted to hear there is a Shiva-Parvati parallel to this scene too!

That was such a subtle hinting...I mean no extended BG score or flying dupattas or teary eyed leads and still it was perfect!

When Sati had been rescued from Vritrasur, Lord Shiva had enquiringly held her. He held her dainty arms and left His Tripund mark on her arms! ... Paro too had Rudra's mark(well blood) on her arms. Rudra branded her just like the Lord had branded His Sati!!

I interpreted this the same way ... Rudra has marked Paro as his ... with his blood. Again a Shiva Parvati parallel 😃

😳😳

I didn't know about the Brahma Jalandhar story ... watched parts of it on Mahadev recently ... thanks for connecting that one too. I wondered why his father made the comment in that particular way ... Brahma did not bring you ... your post explains it ... 😃

That taunt from Rudra to his men was cutting!!! 😆

I so love Aashish! That was such a badass thing to do! Marr javan gud kha ke!!

Rukmani the butterfly was probably the original Rukmani's great great great great grand daughter!!! 😆
The last time the young Paro saw the butterfly, a huge storm entered her life, leaving her orphaned. What tragedy awaits her now? Will she be left alone, orphaned again? Will the thakur wash his hands off her after the guns are found in her luggage?

A big storm is all set to brew up. Lets see what hell or heaven it brings forth!
