Recap -

"Hakeem Sahiba..Jodha begum thik to haina"..Jalal asked with fearful tone and hearing this Hameeda came back to reality.
She was worried too.

After the diagnosis, Hakeems gave their verdict.

Hakeem Sahiba - Fikr ki koi bat nahi hai Shahenshah! Jodha Begum bilkul thik hai..Aur aapka bacha bhi bilkul durust hai! Bas thode tanav ke karan behosh ho gayin hain..

Hearing this, both Jalal and Hameeda heaved a sigh of relief. Both of their faces got filled with a little smile and relief.

Hakeems left the chamber asking the Shahenshah to feed her the medicines they prescibed, on time! She would be totally fine soon!

Jalal and Hameeda thanked them.

Chapter 17 :

Jalal was happy that his wife and his child were fine, but he was terrified from inside. His innerself was feeling so guilty for always hurting her in some or the other way..As if his previous sins were not enough to hurt her, he had again become the cause of her terrible condition.

"What would happen when she wakes up..How would I face her?" His mind was fully preoccupied with her thoughts..

Hameeda kept her hand on Jalal's shoulder and said with a plain tone - Jalal shant ho jaiye..Jodha begum ab thik hain...
lekin phir bhi humein aaram se bataiye ki hua kya tha..(She tried to be calm)..

Jalal didnt know what to say..what to answer..How would he tell his mother that Jodha was in this condition because of him..
He was sure She fainted because of his words..He had already seen the pain in her eyes..

Jalal tried to speak out with a choked voice - Vo darasal Ammi-Jaan..Vo Jodha Begum..be..behosh (his voice was quivering)..

Suddenly, Jodha spoke up with a low voice - Ammi Jaan..Vo hum apne kaksh mei aise hi khade the..ki achanak humein ajeeb sa mehsoos hua..chakkar se aane lage..lekin waqt rehte..inhone..(her voice was shaking too..but she had anger in her tone)..
She intentionally did not complete the sentence..for she didn't want to.

Hameeda and Jalal both looked at Jodha who was conscious by now.. On one hand Jalal was terrified and shocked to hear that..
And on other hand, Hameeda was worried and relieved at the same time to hear that..

She went to Jodha, sat near her and started caressing her forehead. Jalal still stood stunned. She had lied for him..Oh my God!

Hameeda - Humein muaf kijiyega Jodha beta..humein aapko akele chodkar nahi jaana chahiye tha..Agar aapko kuch ho jata to hum apne aapko kabhi muaf nahi karte..

Jodha tried to get up but Hameeda stopped her... Hameeda asked her to rest..

Jodha - Hum thik hain Ammi Jaan..ab aap aaram kar lijiye.. Hum bhi aaram kar lete hain..Hum wada karte hain ke aage se apna aur "apne" bache ka dhyan rakhenge...

Hameeda could sense the pain in her voice but she didn't want to talk about painful things..She kissed on her forehead and got up to go and
bring food for her..Jalal was broken to hear the word "apne"..He knew what she meant..

hameeda - Hum aapke liye bhojan lekar aate hain.. khud apne haathon se banakar..tab tak aap aaram kijiye..

As she got up, Jodha held her hand and said a little loudly - Ammi Jaan..hum ekant chahte hain..

Hameeda and Jalal both knew what she meant.. Jalal was shattered to see her condition.. he had killed a woman's innerself ..a pure soul..
Her state and condition were a proof of his cruelty and devilness..He was totally ashamed of himself..

But Jalal knew this time he had to be a little strong and therefore, a little more stern with his decisions..

Jalal said - Ammi Jaan..Aap khana lagvaiye.. Hum yahin rahenge..

Both Hameeda and Jodha were shocked to hear that but Hameeda somewhere wanted to support him in this..

She knew her son wont repeat his mistakes again..for she had seen the immense regret in his eyes..

She also knew, that for a pregnant wife, her husband is the one who would care for her the best..And that, Jalal wont dare to hurt Jodha again..

Jodha looked at Hameeda with retorting eyes but Hameeda looked at her assuringly..

Hameeda - Jodha beta koi baat nahi..Jalal yahan rahenge to aapke liye hi acha hai..Hum jaante hain aap kya soch rahi hain..
lekin aap hum par bharosa rakhiye.. She smiled and left the room...

Now Jodha and Jalal were alone in the room..

Time stood still for both of them..the chilly atmosphere seemed to be more fierceful..The wind seemed cool..

Both of them looked in each others' eyes..It did not take much time for both of their eyes to get filled up with tears..

Jalal had never felt so guilt-struck ever before in hsi life, as he was feeling now..Jodha looked at him with disgust..

Jalal slowly approached towards her..for he wanted to talk to her..apologise to her..he would even give his life if she demanded that..

Jodha remembered how she had confronted him in the Diwaan-e-Khaas and he had taken all that quietly..She also knew that he had done that knowingly..So that he felt insulted and embarrased in front of all..Hameeda had told her everything..

She also remembered the words she had just heard some moments ago..She was so broken..She didn't know what to do..His actions had somewhere put her in a big dilemma..

"Why was he doing all this? Why he loves me?"...Love and Jalal were anonyms(opposite) to each others " She thought..

SHe somewhere felt his guilt..But That was unacceptable..try as he might to ask for an apology, SHe wont be able to forgive him...

Tears flowed down her eyes continuously..

Jalal continued to approach towards her.. This was the same room..where once he had committed the heinous crime long back..
And the victim sat in front of his eyes.. He felt like killing himself..

As he finally reached to her.. Suddenly Jodha forgot what all she was thinking..

All of a sudden, All the events of "that" night came in front of her eyes.. How he had approached her..and then feasted upon her..Her body started shaking and quivering..

She closed her eyes..continuously sobbing..She was scared.. She could feel the pain again that she had experienced that night..

Jodha with a trembling voice said - Nahi..Paas mat aiye..Humein bahut dard hua tha..(fear on her face was so evident)

Oh my God! That was painful stab to Jalal's heart..He could see the terrible state of her..She looked so scared from him..
He knew She was afraid of him..He had been a monster..She had not yet come out of the deadly night..
god! He wanted to kill himself at that very moment..

Jalal backed off little and said with much difficulty - Hum pas nahi ayenge.. His eyes promising to her that He wont hurt her...

Jodha looked at his gesture and felt bit relieved.. She wiped off her tears..And said with another disgusting and angry tone- Kripya yahan se chale jaiye..Hum akele rehna chahte hain..

This time, jalal was adamant.. he knew he wont run anymore..He had to get over her hatred at any cost..
He had to take care of her..he had to make her feel special..And that, He would kill himself but wont hurt her even a bit..

He said - nahin hum nahi jayenge.. leaving Jodha with a shocked expression..

What an update!!! emotional...Heart touching!!! what a intensity... Jalal character turn complelty downside up...from cruel ... rude... to loving... caring ... superb!!!! The best part...he decided to go see her directly...
