Watching DABH today finally made me feel like I was watching a show that had a definite destination and reached it in a roundabout way. Lots of detours and until Sandy had that bag returned, she was ready to chuck it all in and go back to Pushkar. But despite her best efforts to stay detached from her 'dream' and be the dutiful Bahu till the end, CVs decided that she had to decide once and for all today.

Exhibit 1: She looked like she was picking up someone else's property. The uniform has that effect. It immediately says lots of things and none of them are about saas-bahu-ness.

Exhibit 2 : Oh the distance. The antiseptic, officious looking floor, the contrast with the colourful handkerchief. The symbols of Bahu-ness at Saas feet. Sandhya carefully picking up each thing.

Exhibit 3 : Bhabo knew. While watching Sandy pick everything up, Bhabo knew that she would be handed the jewellery like it was being returned to her. Bhabo also knew that something strange and significant had happened just then.

And what about Sandy. She was suddenly transformed from the moment she stepped into the training academy. The uniform just outwardly confirmed what had just happened inwardly.

And what about Suraj. His very first expression seeing Sandy was just exquisitely beautiful. His responsibilities have been fulfilled. Handing over his wife to her calling. Sandy handing over her Bahu role to Bhabo for safekeeping...although this scene looked more like Sandy was returning everything to Bhabo and didn't have any connection with the jewellery. The detachment was very evident. So I don't know what's going to happen after training. But that's best left alone till training is over.

One further point. As the taxi stopped at the academy and Sandy got out, she looked up at the Indian flag fluttering in the strong breeze. She has and always will be a Desh Bhakt. Her heart beats for it. When she returned Suraj's look of pride, she was a totally different person from the Sandhya Rati I've been seeing last few months.

Don't know what all this means, but this is what they showed today.

Very nice post!

Loved that scene! There was a sense of detachment in sandy, n with great deliberation she picked the jewels up n , she handed over the jewels to babho, as if babho has no control over her anymore, as if these things didnt matter anymore, as if its a different world sandy has entered! N it is a different world where she knows her mind, her heart, n her destiny!

I loved the way she just kept looking at suraj n was delighting in his happiness! Not noticing the shocked expression on babhos face. Wll babhos reaction, her EAs matter later, don't know as u said, but for now, surya have together chosen the path n they r heading towards the dream, dreamt with open eyes!

Surajs expression, priceless! So happy that he they have reached, achieved, surpassing all obstacles,..

Very nice. For the first time felt like surya rather than babho was in control of things! It's surajs approval that mattered to sandy and not babhos!

It looked like sandy was made for IPS!

As babasa asked babho,, u can't keep a policeman as ur enemy nor as a friend, what will we do with the police in the family?

Babho has lots to ponder!

Super entrance, super epi, super sandy, super surya!!!!!

the one thing i didnt mention in any sandy IPS related post is

the way sandy put a knot to the kerchief

it was symbolic that it will be of no use again

Nice post Sis!

Yeah Wonderful scene.! The expressions of Suraj Bhabhasa and Bhabho are really worth watching.

Suraj and bhabhasa feeling proud of sandy and had tears in their eyes.

Again Bhabho turned to square one.

Sandy handover that jewels was like she is handover her bahu role to bhabho and making a knot is like she is closing that forever.

lol geeth, at first i thought who this new PT 😆

very nice post AJ...

but i dont think she is closing the bahu role forever by tying the knot...safekeeping as AJ said is more appropriate, thats what I feel...Im sure sandy will take it back after training...if not what will happen to her promise to bhabo 😕

thats a bit confusing kd

after training she will be posted again she has to be in uniform

may be during festivals she can wear it

but again cvs will make it tough for sandy

she will have to attend duty on festive day and bb will remind her of EV

^ yes thala...actually im confused too...also IPS jobscope is different, it's like you are on duty 24/7...unlike the other 8-5 jobs we do...can sandy balance it...it's impossible to be honest...

PT is Geeth?? Oh my! I leave for 5 mins and people change!

Rama, Bro,Niru and Ayisha. I'm also confused. Rama is correct, Sandy even tied a nice knot and made a starparivar bahu parcel for Bhabo...but ... how can it mean it's the end of her Rathi Bahu and Suraj Biwi roles?? Even if Bhabo has no choice, will the audience accept this?

As Niru says, this is only for the training period and then back to that vachchan. OR...Bhabo is already concluding that Sandy is saying bye to family and will start a drama right now.

I don't know how CVs can reconcile these two roles of Sandy.
