Shweta Kwatra Loves Being A Vamp
By Darshana Gupta, Apr 1 2007 3:27PM

One of the most loved and hated vamp in the Indian television industry today, Shweta Kwatra talks to Media Curry about life, serials and just some other stuff.

Shweta, you've been a part of numerous serials, have also done a reality show. How has the journey been so far for you?

The journey has been great for me. I won't deny that life is full of ups and downs, but that is life. It has been a satisfying experience.

If you could relive a certain character you've played, which one would it be? How differently would you play that character again?

(Chuckles) I don't think I wouldn't like to relive any character. I have played almost all types of characters, and I feel any character can be repeated again. I would like to do new types of roles.

What do you prefer doing, comic or serious roles and why?

(Thinks) Negative (smiles). I personally feel because playing a negative character gives an extra edge. It is not like the usual characters where they are seen crying. It gives the actor an opportunity to play with themselves. Especially in the television industry it is a genre where you get to do more.

You've always been in great shape. What is your fitness mantra?

Not really (smiles). I am not a fitness freak. I eat rice most of the times. I prefer not to eat much kachra (junk food). I don't have late eating habits. I am regular with my gym and rarely skip it sometimes in a year if something important comes up.

What kind of roles would you like to do in the future?

Hmm. I would like to play a terrorist. It could be a split personality role. I think in the television industry it would be a new thing for the audience.

After Nach Baliye, any more reality shows on your plate?

I am currently busy doing four shows. I really don't have time to think about reality shows.

Would you like to be a part of Big Boss? Why?

No. I am not interested in displaying my emotions on screen in front of the audience.

What are the biggest negatives of working in the TV industry?

I haven't thought about it deeply. I am just going on doing my work and haven't given a thought to it.

Are Manav and Shweta coming together soon for any serial?

I am doing a lot of projects but nothing with Manav for now.

If you could choose to share screen space with any actor in the world who would that be?

Haven't thought.
