if i am not wrong, parents have become more open and started to accept this norm these days. both arranged and love marriages have their own pros and cons. in arranged marriages, family picks the person to whom you will get married, so compatibility is not assured and depends on the two person getting married to each other, so if something happens later in marriage, you have family's shoulder to cry on. in love marriages, you know the person although not completely but you feel assured that you can spend the rest of life with him/her. if love is blind πŸ˜† πŸ˜† πŸ˜† which is, and something happens, family blames you to pick him/her most of the time. arranged and love marriages work and don't work. some family accepts love marriages and some doesnt. love and arranged marriages, how they are handled, depends on different families and the couples.

First of all welcome to Debate Mansion! πŸ˜ƒ

Well it depends on your situation. In some cases, if ur family is against the marriage for financial reasons or maybe bec they want you to marry someone else, then yes it can be correct if the guy is really good and you share a good bond with it. I have seen succesfull love marriages who actually got married when the parents were against it. However the chances are very few. Parents know more then us. They would never want something bad to happen to us. They have our best intentions at heart. If they are against a marriage, its usually for a good reason. However in some cases, parents can be wrong also. So there are both sides to the arugment. 😊

However, both love marriages and arrange marriages can work or fail.

Whether love or arranged, every marriage goes through crests and troughs with the passing time. Plenty of fights yet lot of loving and understanding is what keeps it together.
It is an added advantage if familial issues don't fuel adversities of any marriage. Love marriage against the wishes of parents / families are not easy. One has to measure before hand and also time and time again whether nuptial love will prevail or not, assuming worst familial adversities presented by the family (at times real, at times fake).
If Dulha dulhan say "YES, I DO", I see nothing wrong in such a marriage. It could be a bit harder for them as compared to other marriages happening with consent 😳 , but.. one should love and live and love some more! πŸ˜ƒ

Love marriages take place in a word of illusion where either of the two is just fantasziing about the niceties of the other.. On the other hand arranged marriages has high end practicality - no illusions - almost in a sense of duty - so there is high conformance.

Parents today are confused... so they yeild veri easilly so dont worry about hurting them. Just count the pennies to see if it was a good deal..couting those compromises as well. Love is long dead and mummified.... πŸ˜‰

So... in simple terms.. its a blame game: If anything goes wrong.. blame the responsible partyπŸ˜‰πŸ˜†

Just my usual silly cheeks😳

That's right Raunaq and Maryam! Love-marriages - also lovingly called "illusional / delusional marriages"by some- seem to be working for gernerations for locals for reasons unknown. They are surprised by arranged marriages, yet I am sure fascinated πŸ‘πŸΌ by the provision provided by arranged marriages of apparent blame-passing.. "mom.. dad.. what were you thinking before getting me married to this silly couch potato? 😑" " Well darling, in the 3 line-description, they did not mention that πŸ˜³πŸ˜•" " and I failed to see it too daddy during the lovely dates post-engagement he took me out on! 😭"
🀣

Okay, no offense meant guys, some of my family members have found their soul-mates in arranged marriages πŸ‘πŸΌ. I have nothing against them, though was never my choice.
