As you may have already guessed, Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are the hosts of the Filmfare Awards, which will be held next month. They have even shot for two promotional videos, which have already been airing on Sony and giving audiences a teaser of what the function will be like. Of course, since there's not too much time until the big day, preparations are already in full swing. It seems that, before he left for his vacation, Ranbir had a look through the script and wasn't too pleased when he saw that there was an indirect joke about his girlfriend, Katrina Kaif, in there. Here's what Industrywalla tells us happened behind the scenes!
Industrywalla says: A small issue cropped up recently when Ranbir was going over his script for the Filmfare Awards night. Buzz is that RK wasn't too happy with a joke that was written in as part of Priyanka's opening monologue. The joke, in fact, could have easily been interpreted as an indirect dig at his girlfriend, Katrina. I'm told the wisecrack included a line saying that not all actresses can act, and some are merely Barbie dolls. Everyone knows that Kat is often referred to as the Barbie doll of the industry, and even has one designed after her. Keeping that in mind, Ranbir decided to stick up for his girlfriend, and spoke to the writers to get it changed!
Anyway, Ranbir may not have to worry for too long, because like I told you before, Katrina is making a very concentrated attempt to pick roles that don't slot her in that category.
