She looks gorgeous and has a prominent screen presence. She looks charming when ever she appears on screen but she has NOTHING to do at all!

She has only 1 proper scene in the entire movie where they go for a date

2 hours after the movie has begun- kat has her first and only proper scene in the movie where they go for a date (that is when 75% of the movie has already finished)

Other than that she has 4 songs (including end credits) and that's all about it

Even if you totally chop off her role- it makes zero difference to the going ons

its easily the shortest and most insignificant role among all the dhoom girls- even rimi sen had more screen time!

I guess aish would be having the last laugh here- she owned D2- had a proper role and contributed big time to the story. Yes she was annoying but at least she had some role to be called annoying, Katrina has nothing!

Even in kat's career- this is easily the least significant role she has ever played. Even in welcome, SIK etc she had at least a decent screen time!

Also this clearly qualifies for the worst flower pot role in recent times. Kareena in Ra One or PC in krish 3 had much more to do!

Sorry kat! you could not end this year with a dhoom despite being in dhoom!

Definitely. Most flowerpot'ish role by a lead actress in recent times, that too by a numero one actress (she was no 1 when she signed this movie). Hopefully her projects in 2014 has better roles for her.

the role could have been developed further!

it was not a bad role- the character had a spark! kat wasn't boring- I liked her scenes with aamir! Gave me that MBKD vibe but the writers literally gave a raw deal to the character

SPOILER AHEAD!!!

they could have shown something more- like her involvement with aamit's case- finding out what he is upto, his brother etc! But they literally kept her for the songs!

She has her intro scene, the scene where she asks Aamir's character out on a date, beginning of date, end of date. These are full-fledged scenes. Plus 2 mini-dialogue parts: one right after the "Malang" song (just 1-2 words) and the climax scene of which she is a small part.

And the songs, two of which could be argued as 'action scenes' in a way. 😆

But i was informed she got a lot of critical acclaim for those scenes

intro scene is basically the kamli song! she hardly speaks one line before which I would not really count!

after malang she says something like ok or what ever

the date scene is the only scene where I realized that Katrina is in the movie for real!

at the climax she enters and looks confused- also confuses us! she doesn't know jack shit for more than 90% of the movie and comes in the end - for what?? do we even care? by that time definitely not!

True that. She appeared out of nowhere in the climax. It appeared silly. Honestly, I forgot kat was in this movie by then.
