Gul makes really fresh and youthful shows. They appeal to all generations, older and younger alike. Thus, the shows become massive and the actors's fan following also increases. Before IPK, Barun wasn't on too many people's radar. Before Geet, people weren't actively checking up on Gurmeet or Drashti too much. The show's boosted them up and they also boosted the show up with their amazing acting, it was a mutually beneficial relationship. But eventually the actors think they have greener pastures waiting for them so they stop and quit the shows. (which I personally think is a stupid decision but that's just me).
The same happened with QH. Rishab out of nowhere gained popularity, got noticed and decided to try his chance in bwood. Karan was already appreciated for his acting, but QH gave him more exposure and boosted his star up, same with Vikrant. Thus all three thought that there were greener pastures to be seen and thus left.
Personally, I think they made a mistake.
For me, IPK was basically finished. The leads were together, their past settled and the antagonist out. There wasn't too much else to write about. The entire gist of their story was how hatred turns to love and it did. So Barun did have some reason to leave.
Karan, Vikrant, and Rishab left just at the midway, when there's still a lot of story to be told. They could've increased their fan following, gotten more accolades, etc. In fact, with the whole gudiya factory razz coming out, Asad is such an important player because he'll probably be the one to handle Zoya. Ayaan would've also been affected because his girlfriend is related to his brother's to-be wife and her mother killed his friend's mother. There is so much drama to be seen, so much potential for the actors to shine! Yet, they decided to quit halfway.
It's sad because they could've boosted the show to even higher heights, while doing the same for themselves.
