Come on friends... Let us face facts.. It is a reality that teams like India and Pakistan played way below their potential and they have themselves to blame, if they do not find themselves in the Super 8 today..
Ponting is very right when he said that we need to give the CREDIT to Bangladesh and Ireland.. Come on, all teams have struggled so hard for 4 long years to do well in the World Cup. World Cup has always been the real testing ground for all the teams.. So all teams that come to the World Cup bring with them lot of pride, lot of responsibility to do well and win the cup..
If big teams like India and Pak do not even enter the Super 8, then it speaks a lot... about the way in which they play their game.. This is the bitter truth, we all need to accept it...
Just calling Ponting rude for stating the fact is really very bad... It is a fact that India and Pak , the manner in which they played, did not deserve to be in the 8... Come on, let us not support the teams that have lost miserably to such an extent..
This attitude of Overprotection is the reason why India and Pak never perform when they have to... The Selection and the reaction of the fans really needs to change for the better, so that we pick the best team, and show a more unbiased approach to the game.. This is my POV...
