Chapter 10:

At next weekend, Saakshi and Riya came to meet Roshni.

Three ladies were playing with Addu and planning something for Sameer and Aisha's engagement party.

Sakshi : Aisha has chosen a white suit for herself, and she ordered similar royal blue suits for us, can you imagine that? I thought I would wear my new crimson lehenga.. but that girl ruined everything.

Roshni : Talk to her, she'll understand.

Sakshi : baat ki thi...emotional ho gayee...aur main vi...haan bol di.

Riya : Toh phir galati teri hain..tu man gayee.

Sakshi : Dekha Addu!! sare galati meri hain...

Addu chuckled at Saakshi's puppy face.

Riya : Rosh, tumne dress try kia?

Roshni : Haan, I've sent it to my tailor. I've put on some weight na...

Riya : Kahan?? Acchi vaali toh ho...

Sakshi : Who sab choro, Sameer ne kya plan kia?

Sakshi : That's a surprise. He forbade me to tell anyone...but you can ask Addu...

Riya : Tum vi Rosh?? Tumko ko to acche se pata hain hum dono Addu ka silent language nehi samajhti...phir vi?

Roshni : Then try to understand. Aage jake tum dono ko vi kisike mom banna hain, nahi?

Sakshi : Now, Rosh, get ready, let's go shopping.

Roshni : Addu...

Riya : Hum sab hain na, I promise meri cute Rosogolla bilkul bore nahi honge.

At Shopping mall.

Liza and Nitu also joined them. Roshni put Addu in his pram and Addu was looking at the world outside his home. He saw people of different size, shape, age and faces, he saw many things he didn't saw before and listened sounds he never heard before. His first day outside his little world amazed him to the core, and he thought how many things art to know in this world.

First they took a round of display windows of the show-rooms; Addu saw mannequins and thought why those people are frozen at their places & entered at the kids corner. This place Addu liked, because of those bright colors and decorations. The toys, cars and painted cartoons, he looked at those very curiously. But he couldn't realized what was gonna happen with him in next few minutes.

Five women started selecting dresses for Addu. They selected dresses for Addu and made him try those. Addu was enjoying it very much. Each time they took him in front of mirror, he was dressed up in different attire. Girls tried almost every dress of the store on him. And finally when they finished selecting, the place was devastated.

The store manager looked around the place, and sighed; then he concentrated on the cloths mountained on the counter.

Ladies was busy with their shopping. Although, their attire was selected by Aisha. They tried so many dresses & accessories and each time they asked Addu if they're good or not.

Addu sighed at his Maasis' continuous blabbering and surprisingly he discovered his mother was no less to them. She also joined them in selecting goods. And within four hours he was quite known to his moms & others favorite color including his dad,& mamus, which color suits whom, who loves which brand, who was allergic to which fabric, whose makeup box has which shades of eyeshadowes and lip colors... even the measurement of their waists!! And when he couldn't take it anymore, he started crying at the top of his voice.

And it as his biggest mistake of that time. All ladies gathered around him and started patting, rubbing, swaying and talking to made him calm. But it was more than torture to him. Cope up with the love of 5 women at a time is not easy for a 73 days old man. So he stopped immediately in order to get rid of their concern.

Nitu : Yeh kya hua?

Roshni : Nothing, maybe he is bored.

Liza : No, he's starving, it's almost four hours he's out, he must be hungry. Hamare saath koi bore hota hain kya?

Addu : (in mind) Bore!! Nehi nahi aap logon ke saath koi bore kaise ho sakta hain...aap ke saath to log bimaar parnge. Baap re!! Dad yahan hote Toh aab tak mujhe leke vaag gaya hota...

Roshni : Addu, hungry?

Addu made a unhappy face. To say plz let's go home. But Roshni had no plan to go home so early.

Roshni : Chalo, kuch kha let hain, phir baaki shopping karke ghar jayenge.

Baaki Shopping!! Addu, you are finished today.

And that time, Chotu arrived.

Riya : Chotu, what are you doing here?

Chotu : It's lunch time, & I was in this area, so thought of meet Addu & have lunch with you guys. If you don't have any problem.

Roshni : Ok, come.

They went to the food corner and ordered pizza, while roshni brought out Addu's feeder and fed him.

Chotu hurriedly finished his pizzas, took Addu from Roshni and walked to the counter. He ordered coke for himself and started talking with Addu. Addu also listened to him silently, because he can't talk yet.

Chotu : Shopping kaisa tha, Addu? Maza aaya?

Addu made an unpleasant face.

Addu : (In mind) Mazza!!...yeh mazza hain toh sazaa kis cheez ka naam hain? Baap re, seedhe seedhe koi vi cheez in logon ko pasand nahi aati !!

Chotu : I know, shopping with this mad company is not so easy. Main toh ek Nitu se paagal ho jata hoon. Pata nahi, shaadi ke baad mera kya hoga!!

Addu : (In mind) toh shaadi maat karo mamu. Maar daalenge tumko.

Chotu : But, finally jo vi select karti hain woh acchi hoti hain.

The counter boy passed Chotu his third bottle of coke with a straw. Chotu held the straw to pull it out, but his phone beeped. He took the bottle on the same hand by which he as holding Addu, and attended the call from the other hand.

Chotu : Hello, sir.

Arjun : Aur kitna time lagaoge Chotu, lunch time is over. Drop Roshni and Addu at home and report here, Jaldhi.

Chotu : Haan, sir. They are having lunch. And you know na those girls...

Arjun : Haan, Addu?

Chotu : Having cold drink with me.

Arjun : Ok, make it fast.

When he was talking in phone, I looked at the bottle he held near my chest, and the red thin stick standing into it. I held it, and looked at him. He was too busy in talking with dad, so I thought of passing the time and occupy myself with that red thing. I put it into my mouth and started sucking it. A sweet and strong-spirited liquid entered my mouth, at first it felt little odd, but I liked the taste and slowly gulped the whole thing down.

Chotu finished the call and took his drink to his free hand. But it was empty. He surprisingly looked at the bottle and then Addu. Addu Belched and offered him a sweet smile, showing his gums.

Everything was going smoothly. All were planning for Sam-Aisha's engagement party and wedding as well. Because they planned their wedding, right after a month of their engagement & Sam's mom wanted all of the functions & rituals of his only son's wedding should be grand enough.

Addu saw his parents were busy with it, in daytime, Arjun & others were in the office so His mom handles things through phone calls & mails along with looking after him. She discuss thing with him and ask for his opinion, & Addu also give his views through his smiles & gestures. When Dad & others returned at night, they help & update her.

One day, Addu was lying on the bed and playing with Chotu mamu's big fingers, when others were busy into their discussion. Suddenly Riya noticed Addu was lying on his belly.

Riya : Arre, Chotu, Addu ko seedha karo, palat gaya.

Chotu immediately help Addu to lie on his back. But Addu flipped again.

Roshni : Look Arjun, he flipped!!

That's it!! Discussion went to rack and ruin, and all set their eyes on Addu. Each time one straitened Addu and he flipped again.

Addu was having a great fun. First time he tried & succeed to move, and each time he moved the could see things differently or he could see people sitting near his head & things also. Moreover, everyone loved to see the way he moved and prevented him to stay in his new position. This time, it didn't annoyed him, because unknowingly, they were helping him to practice his first move.

After everyone had left, Arjun sat on the bed beside Addu and was working on his laptop; Roshni asked him to keep an eye on Addu while she finished her chores. Arjun nodded and engrossed into his laptop.

Addu saw his dad was busy in work, so this time he again started working on his flipping session. He flipped once and looked at his dad, he as busy. Then he flipped again and still Arjun unnoticed that. Thus, Addu rolled to Arjun and hit his thigh.

Arjun : Arre baba... I'm working.

Addu smiled.

Arjun : Toh aap yahan aa gaye?

Addu smiled again and touched his laptop.

Arjun : Dekhna hain?

Addu smiled (that means yes)

Arjun pulled him to his lap and started working again.

Addu looked at the illuminated screen with his big eyes and tried to understand what those was little black spots in the screen his dad looking so keenly. However, after sometimes, he felt thirst and got down to the bed, wriggling from his dads lap. Arjun just looked at him, rolling to the milk bottle kept on the headrest. Arjun took the bottle and put it into Addu's mouth. Addu calmly started drinking; Arjun adjusted Addu on the bed, made sure he stay at his place, as he knew his boy was going to fell in sleep within some time, and again started working on his laptop.

But today, Addu was in no mood of sleeping. He stopped drinking and again rolled to Arjun, this time to his straightened legs.

Arjun felt someone was tickling his instep and he looked at his feet. He saw Addu was playing with his fingers. He smiled. Shook his head and resumed his work.

Addu was looking at his dads feet, they are so big, bigger than his face. He touched the fingers, and Arjun shook it a little, that attracted Addu to them. He tried to catch the biggest one, the thumb, which was moving most.

Arjun saw his sons curiosity to his thumb, so he stopped working and started watching his sons antics, but he didn't moved an inch and let Addu think his dad was busy. He saw Addu was trying to catch his thumb, and he didn't let him. But Addu succeeded after so many efforts, put it into his mouth and started biting it. This time Arjun pulled back his legs and took addu into his lap.

Arjun : Oye badmash!! Baap ko kaat ta hain!!

Addu made a face.

Arjun : Kya hain? Hungry? ya Bore ho?

Addu made an unhappy face.

Roshni arrived at that moment.

Roshni : Kya chal raha hain baap bte main?

Arjun : Addu bit my thumb.

Roshni : Good!

Arjun : (showing his foot) Yeh wala.

Roshni : Cheee...Addu, very bad. Don't you know, tere dad ka feet bohot gandha hain, his shocks stink. Aur tu uska angutha chabaya!?! Yuk!!

Arjun : (in hurt tone) roshni!!

Roshni : Come Addu , let's sleep.

And she walked to another room picking Addu into her arms.
