I think the Ipad was a way to give him news from the BB. It probably did not have access to online sources. As for Prat's mothers comment, I heard it was Kamya's mum (who came in during the remote control) who mentioned to Kamya that Prat's mum said nice things about her and other HM's (including Armaan) and that's why he knew.

I don't know about this though.

But I do agree that Gau had access to family members etc. and she was probably told not to mention this when she got back in. Salman was just doing damage control since she let it slip.
