🤣..... The POISED-UPPITY NOSED - ELITIST Karan Johar seemed scandalized for LIFE throughout the episode with his signature angular forehead waala face palm.. and of all the episodes that i have seen of KWK, this is the first time Karan had two guests whom he told with a humoured request - PLEASE SIGN THE MUGS AND LEAVE... PLEASE GO!
I don't know if am allowed to make a separate topic for KWK episodes, but am just putting in a comment. I THOROUGHLY enjoyed Ranveer-Arjun's episode and half the time i was in side splits , thanks to both of them. And here is what one can conclude about both the boys.
1. Ranveer - He is NOT a star . He will never have the style, intellect gloss or mania of a Salman, SRK or Aamir. But he is real , closer home - chhichhora next door with too much adrenaline pumped into him. He is an over excited kid who has no tact or Karan's definition of poise , but he is honest and he has no complex about what he isn't. If you think am crass and shameless, that is who i am. For him, life really is about hugging ,kissing and making merry . You can even doubt that he has no depth, but when you look at his love for life , you do wish that you could love life like that. He was a comedy circus throughout the episode , but what i liked was his complete silence when Arjun was talking about his personal issues. And then, he just hopped over and hugged him. Not a looker, a crass talker , with an apparently awful personality , but he is an ORIGINAL. On a snide note, he has no love lost for Kat and Bebo and maybe even Ranbir. He doesn't seem to like them from what we saw in the rapid fire round. Maybe you need to pretend a little, Ranveer. They all do!
2. Arjun - First things first. Arjun is pretty fascinated with PC. He sounded inquisitive as a 'man' when he said that he would want to woo PC , break through that personality and see within. Apart from that , Arjun is quieter and more centered than Ranveer - but once triggered, he is a riot and he has quite a peri-peri sense of humour- almost labeling Ranbir a playboy, kidding about how he is living his sexuality now as he is no more Phubbu and the best part being that he can now joke about his weigh instead of sounding 'how-dukhee-i-was' . More than that , Arjun talking about his mother and how much she struggled was honest , and no soap drama on that. I may never understand that why he re-connected with a father like Boney , but anyone could read his complete dislike for Sridevi ( My father's wife and his 'other' family ) in the way he spoke about her . Still, he managed to put a straight face and say that we will never be a family and these relationships will always be complicated. That was the only pensive moment in the entire comedy circus that played out.
Lastly, Ranveer and Arjun really know each-other inside out and its no 'Gunday' promotion YET. They were two unruly schoolboys who were talking to each-other more than Karan and Karan looked like an incompetent matron! But things change... if competition fades this bromance , it will be unfortunate coz they didn't look rehearsed or prepared at all. Lets see if this dosti stands the acid test. Most don't.
P.S- Is Karan a sadist? It seemed like his biggest dream is to see Ranveer depressed. And why should you ask Arjun about his most sensitive spots? People come on KWK to have fun , not for therapy sessions. Karan enjoys pricking people and its not good.Such a JAANAANI he is!
