one funny incident...
during our apprenticeship, every week we used to have two hours of Taxation classes...
that means... any one of our auditors will teach us Tax Planning for our Clients...
it would be like one hour lecture...
followed by one hour discussion session...
i used to hate them... coz it was very difficult for me to remember the sections and clauses of the Income Tax Act...
once during such a session, i noticed Karthik was fast asleep.
i tried to wake him up, but no use...
finishing his lecture,
our auditor gave a situation and asked us how the case can be solved and ...
as usual no one replied...
the auditor i still wonder whether he noticed if Karthik was asleep...he called out..."Mr.Karthik... what will you do if the client comes to you?"
Karthik was seated in his chair with his eyes closed and there was huge gap between the chairs that i couldn't reach him to atleast pat and wake him up...
all the members sitting in front looked behind and were smiling as the auditor said "Mr. Karthik.." aloud this time
karthik stood up and said "yes Sir..."
Auditor: answer my query...
karthik: sir the last bit of info you gave was a little confusing... can u tell me clearly...
everyone laughed...
the auditor placed his question again...
and "bang.."
karthik spoke continuously for the next 15 minutes about the problem, gave some 4 types of solutions, explaining the sections and clauses and some previous case histories...
all of us laughing were dumbstruck with the flow of his speech...
others came out of it and clapped but i was still not believing...
when karthik turned towards me and winked only i realized that i was looking at him not only with my eyes but also with my mouth wide open.
seeing him wink, i shook my head and sat straight.
i remember this everytime i see Karthik sleeping in his chair at the cubicles in Office serial
