This romantic couple met in 2004 in Sahara's Bollywood Star Contest. Gurmeet came from Mumbai and Debina from Kolkata, and both were shortlisted in the top 15 candidates. One day during dinner at a 5-star hotel with the other candidates, Gurmeet and Debina were sat next to each other and struck up a conversation. Debina told him that she was from Adarshnagar, and Gurmeet faked being from there too. He joked that now they must get married and settle happily every after in Adarshnagar. Little did he know the magic that his words would carry!

Shortly after that, Gurmeet & Debina entered into a relationship and were offered roles in the tamil fantasy series "Mayavi" in 2006. Gurmeet played the male antagonist while Debina was the female lead. Becoming co-stars for the first time together cemented their bond and made them realize how much they loved spending time together. However, it was not until Ramayan that Gurmeet & Debina decided to tie the knot and become married in real life! Playing the divine couple Ram and Sita in the popular mythological show made them realize that they could not spend the rest of their life with anyone but each other.

After Ramayan, Gurmeet & Debina participated in the reality show Pati Patni aur Woh before tying the knot on February 15, 2011. They recently participated in Nach Baliye: Shriman Vs Shrimati, and are excited for the romantic journey they will experience in Nach Baliye Season 6 along with their choreographers, Pratik Utekar, Rishikaysh Jogdaand, & Pruthvi Jadeja!

It is mandatory for all members of this AT (as well as the forum) to adhere to the following rules without exception! Failure to follow the rules will resulting in severe consequences.

1) First and foremost, bashing of Gurmeet and/or Debina is strictly prohibited here! If you are not a fan of either or both of them, then please go elsewhere to vent your frustration. This is an appreciation thread and has no room for hatred.

2) Bashing of any celebrity or couple here is also strictly prohibited! In fact, do not discuss anyone or anything besides Gurmeet & Debina's participation in Nach Baliye. If you would like to appreciate other participants of the show, that's fine but they have their own ATs, so please go there to appreciate them. This thread is specifically for Gurmeet & Debina's jodi.

3) Post information/articles/pictures/creations ONLY related to Nach Baliye. If the pictures are NEW but not related to Nach Baliye, get permission from the DT before posting them here.

4) No name-calling, insulting, punching, throwing stuff, etc. Don't use this thread as a punching bag to vent your frustration. There are anger management classes for that.

5) This rule applies to members of the AT: If you see a negative/bashing post here, please DO NOT reply to it and create an argument. We do not want this place to look messy with fights. Report his/her post and WAIT PATIENTLY for the DT to come and take appropriate action. If I see members of this AT fighting back, it is my responsibility to report them along with the bashers.
