Christmas... as you all know...is the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ.According to the Christian Beliefs, Jesus is the Son of GOD. God sent his only Son to the World..so as to save and redeem Us. Mother Mary gave birth to Jesus in a manger(stable) in Bethlehem...as nobody gave them (Joseph n Mary) a room in their Inn. An Angel appeared to some shepherds and told them that THE KING HAS BORN. Hearing this good news...the shepherds went quickly to the manger.The three kings from the East also got this good news. They went led by a Star...to the manger..The Three Kings offered Three gifts respectively : gold,frankincense and myrrh
So that was a brief description about Christmas

Now lemme tell u...how I celebrate Christmas usually:

I keep the fast for 25 days...I abstain from having non veg items😊

On December 1st I make a crib - a replica of the Manger in Bethlehem

Then I decorate a Christmas tree, wid mercury balls, lights,bells etc

We also put up a star in our homes (a Symbol of the Star which guided the 3 kings to the Manger)

Christmas time hain..SO obviously its Carols' Time 😃

Then on 24th , Christmas Eve...we go for Midnight Mass.. Well in my church..the Service starts at 7pm..We are Syrian Catholics...and our Service is veryyy long. Before the Mass starts...we have a Carol Competition..and after that we keep a Gift Giving Ceremony. Till last year My team having been Winning the Carol Competition 😊

Then after the Mass, we cut a Plum Cake ...and then we have Cake n Wine at Church. Then we go home and break our fast

I like this party...mere pasand ka sab kuch hai😉...love Appams...just had 'egg Appam' last night...they basically break an egg over the Appam (like in egg roles) was delicious with Chettinad chicken *Slurp* 😆

coming to the topic...for me I think I have celebrated Christmas more as a kid than any other festivals. Have very fond memories. love all the Carols but Rudolph the red nose Reindeer has to be my fav 😃...and yeah Jingle bells too😃...Did a inter school play in 8/9th std n I was one of the Kings 😉😆 should have a pic somewhere 😆 and then the midnight Mass n feast with the Nuns, that was considered being privileged in school as we were boarders n mixed with the high n mighty 😉 have many more memories...Christmas is fun in Delhi too...

Know the reason for the break...so no complains...enjoy...have fun but kabhi kabhi time mile toh aa jana...will miss u on the forum...phn karke pareshaan will cont...hum nahin sudhrengen 😃😃

i am a muslim so for me no christmas but i will wish you merry christmas our is ramadan so christmas for us
