Is Possessiveness a positive quality?
I don't think so...being possessive about a person means you are just not secure about yourself...and that is not a good thing...and yes I have seen kids being possessive about toys or parents but to me that is a bad quality too b/c I think kids should learn to share at much younger age because it will affect their relationships with other people when they grow up (and personally I have seen lots of stubborn and possessive children and it's annoying)..Possessive for a that "special" someone or a friend isn't good either because you are preventing them for exploring and keeping them confined and yoursef.

Is Possessiveness the binding factor for any relation?
I guess so...lot of people hang out with same people all the time and over time they get possessive about it...so they are sort of bound to that relationship I guess 😕 I don't know if I make any sense!

Is Possessiveness "litmus test " for the strength of any relation?
Well, I have seen that a lot in gf-bf, and wife-hubby situations...possessiveness can let you know how he/she will be overtime and if that is the kind of relationship you want...personally I would not want to be scruntized and be someone's possession. I mean if you are ready to deal with that kind of attention then go ahead otherwise it can be a sort of warning towards what holds in the future.

What's the limit for Possessivness?
I really don't know...I mean I have seen guys or girls who won't let their respective others talk to the opposite sex, then that is taking it too far. Or sometimes people feel the attention is being divided by friends or stuff. So, it's kay if a person is just a little bit possessive but as soon as it affects your relationships with others, that's when you have a problem on ur hand.

Is possessivness a trait of some gender, nation or age group???
I would not say so. I think it personally depends on people. But I have seen lot of young girls who are easily affected by tv or movies and think being possessive is a good thing. It worries me b/c I feel like they are getting the wrong message.

Do you agree with the words "Perisistant people are possessive"?
Not really...persistent would be vague...you can be persistent about anything but doesn't necessarily mean that you are possessive.
Just my opinions! 😃

This is a bit over board......do keep the appropriateness of post in mind.........we have people of age group here 😊. If that looks like a double entendre to me, chances are they appear so to others too...so please, it's a request.

Thats always been the case. In any case, from time to time, many lapses are made... please allow the Mods to decide how to "offer it to all members across the board" 😛

Its all a debate. whether to use puritanical language or not is also a question of debate with equal number of members arguing for and against.

But on the forum, irrespective of the outcome of the debate, we have a cardinal rule, which must be adhered to at all times - NO deviating from topic, no (sexual) innuendos, and use of appropriate language which is acceptable ACROSS BOARD to all members rather than restrict it to a closed user group who prefer to speak in a unique language with a unique dictionary.

All members are requested to kindly adhere to the rules and keep the debate mansion free from inappropriate posts.

Members are also requested not to get personal with theri comments. Debates are always on issues and the member is only advocating that theory/ argument. There can be debates on issues without getting personal, so lets stick to that.

Thank you making it clear eggcatcher. I appreciate that. As I said, lets play it safe as many 'twisted minded' ladies are here who are not appreciating anything that can be construed in a different manner.......as you noticed, I did not edit it out, just requested to play it safe. By the way if you remove the hyphen, yoyo is also a fish....😉, just FYI.....

Also, digressing is fine to a certain extent, as long as we don't stray from the topic...

Put like that, it is actually funny !! 😆

I appreciate the clarification. Don't worry, your moderatorship prospects are no more in danger than they were before....😉
